Chloe shook her head, "Its not your fault," she assured Kaya.
"I'm sure that everyone else who has found a weapon or armor will say the same," she continued, scooting her stool a bit closer to the table, "We're all behind you, and will gladly assist you. We're not being forced, if that's what you think," she smiled, "I'm sure all of us are more than willing to help you defend your home."
"Plus," she grinned, "Saving an island is sure to tell for an interesting story back home. I think pretty much any adventurer at heart would be behind you on this."
"I think we'll be well-protected as well. Considering we have the purest forms of elemental energy on our side, I say we have a pretty good chance."

Brayden nodded, "Chloe's right. Don't think of it as your fault," he smiled faintly, "We're here to help you, if you'll allow us."
"I have to say I'm certainly not thinking of finding this buckler as a negative thing," he assured the prince. In all reality, he had to admit it was pretty exciting. Especially now that they had found out a fairly good idea of what these artifacts were.

"Rest assured, its no trouble to any of us," Brayden smiled sincerely, returning the kiss as he draped an arm over the prince's shoulder briefly.
"We'll stand beside you, no matter what's against us," he nodded, still smiling faintly.
'And you know I'll be behind you boss, ready to save your butt.' came Ariadne's comment from her Pokeball at Brayden's waist.
Brayden's smile continued, as he took a glance out the window to the darkening sky above the water. Despite all the troubles that were going on in the world at the time, it was nice to have a quiet moment. A flock of Starly were settling down in the trees on the outskirts of town for the night, and Brayden knew they had the right idea. He bit back a yawn, blinking slightly to awaken himself a bit, as he turned back towards the library table where the group had set up temporary camp.

Kaya grinned at Brayden before he carefully replaced the book on it's shelf. Quickly turning, he scooped Brayden off his feet, carrying him towards the stairs like a groom would carry his bride. "Let's get to the PokeCenter. I think we had plans before bed, if I remember correctly." he whispered with a devious grin. Thankfully his voice was low enough that Chloe wouldn't hear him.

Chloe grinned, pushing her stool in with her foot as she followed the other two. She hadn't heard the comment Kaya made, however.
"So I guess we're all set. We'll call it a night, then head out in the morning?" Chloe inquired, a bit excited about the prospect. She hadn't been to Iron Island yet, and it definitely sounded interesting. Plus she wanted to snag a Steelix while they were there if she had the chance. Byron had definitely put her admiration for the giant snakes. They were kinda dragon-ish, anyway.
Chloe trailed along behind the other two as she descended the stairs, trying to recall the legends in the book that they had read. She just hoped she could figure out the secrets of her gauntlets. It seemed that she would be needing them.

Brayden nodded, "Indeed we do," he agreed with a smile. The same nagging doubts still plagued him, but he brushed them aside for the time being. There was always time to worry later on.
"Though, I can walk, ya know," he joked half-heartedly with a wink, "Seems you've been my personal transport lately. I think my Pokemon will start to get jealous," he laughed. Although, knowing Cye and the others, they'd probably be quite content for a break.

Kaya giggled about Brayden's comment. "That's quite alright. Don't you think a married couple should make their way to the honeymoon suite properly?" he asked with another devious grin. In actuality, he planned to ask Brayden a very serious question when this was all over with.
As he reached the PokeCenter, he offered a loving smile. "I don't mind carrying you at all. I actually enjoy being close to you like this, you know." he reminded his partner. Looking to the giggling Nurse Joy, he spoke kindly enough. "You wouldn't happen to have a special room for couples would you?" he asked her, his eyes twinkling brightly.
"Oh, of course." she said in response as she grabbed a card key from beneath the desk and led Kaya to the room. "This will be it. If you need anything at all, just let myself or one of our nurses know and they'll help any way they can." she informed the boy.
"Actually...there is something we need." Kaya said before he leaned in and whispered something to Nurse Joy that made the young nurse blush profusely.
"Of course. Right away, sir." Nurse Joy replied as she ran back towards the front, giggling and blushing madly. She couldn't believe that he'd just asked her to bring him those things. As a nurse though, she was obliged to help any way she could and so returned a few minutes later with a small bag.
((We all know what's in there so let's keep it quiet for the kiddies watching.))

((I'm FREEEEE! Man, it'll take a couple of days for my brain to recover, but I'm finally done with this semester. I miss my sleep. Something I definitely plan on getting reaquainted with this vacation.))
Brayden couldn't help but smile at Kaya's first comments, although he had to admit, standing there in front of Nurse Joy was a tad embarrassing. He did offer a nod of thanks as she showed them their room however. He didn't really trust his voice at the moment, though, suddenly finding his mouth dry, like it was stuffed with Mareep wool.
"Thanks," he managed, offering a sheepish smile to Joy.
He had to admit, this was definitely not what he had ever expected for himself when he first started his journey. Sharing a bed with royalty was probably not the goal of any trainer starting out, but Brayden knew, as he looked up to Kaya, still smiling, it was about all that was on his to do list at the moment.
He was sure he loved the prince. Their time spent together had definitely proven that to Brayden. He was a bit nervous, to be sure, both his inexperience and the secrets his still harbored proved to bring his mind to unrest, but he knew that was not something he'd allow get in the way. After all the hard times on his journey, he felt he had earned himself one moment of peace.
"So, uh... shall we?" he gestured to the room with a wave of his hand as he nodded to Kaya.

Chloe trailed along a bit further behind from the couple. She thanked the librarian again, before exiting the building. It wasn't too hard for her to piece together what was going on between the two, so she simply grinned, opting not to say anything.
Although she was thinking it was about time to herself. Nothing she spoke aloud though.
She had to admit, though, they made a really cute couple.
Yawning, Chloe paused for a moment at the big drawbridge that crossed over the canal that split Canalave in two. She smiled to herself, watching the water for a moment. It really was a lovely view. She flit with the idea that she could see the peak of Iron Mountain off in the distance, but in all reality it was probably the crest of some far off wave...
"It is a nice evening," she murmured to herself. Although, as she inhaled to smell the salt breeze, she sneezed, instantly covering her nose as she felt a wave of sickness.
"Bleach!" she grimaced, whirling to glare behind her. The source of the stench became apparent. A rather chubby Stunky was waddling down the bridge as if he owned the place. He paused, spotting Chloe, before growling, not really seeming too threatening...

"Geez, you really know how to spoil a nice evening," Chloe muttered, still holding her nose.
"Uh... shooo?" she pleaded, but the Stunky didn't budge.
"Gah, whatever. Saku! Come on, let's get rid of this thing!" Chloe called, summoning the Shellgon form her Pokeball. Hopefully being inside her shell would help shield her from the Stunky's horrid smell.
"Use a Dragonbreath!" Chloe called, as Saku released a spew of draconic flames at the Stunky, who wheezed, countering with a Toxic, as Saku growled, not pleased about being suddenly covered in the foul-smelling acid.

Saku wavered for a moment, but countered with another Dragonbreath at Chloe's request. Chloe knew that she couldn't drag this battle on for too long, not that she wanted to. The sooner this skunk was out of the way the better, in her opinion.
The Stunky countered with a Scratch, barely denting the surface of Saku's hard shell.

Saku followed up with a Headbutt, slamming into the Stunky, who responded in kind with a Smokescreen, covering the whole of the bridge with a dense cloud of disgusting smog. Chloe coughed, waving a hand in front of her face in vain as she called for Saku.

The dragon countered with another Dragonbreath, as the Stunky used Scratch once more. The Skunk was tiring, but the poison was also taking its toll on Saku as well.

All it took was one more Dragonbreath from Saku for the Stunky to fall, as Chloe withdrew the Shellgon, dashing off the bridge to get a breath of fresh air as she coughed.
"Man, that stunk..." she muttered, not even realizing the pun, as she hurried to the Pokecenter to get Saku healed up.
After getting a clean bill of health from Nurse Joy, Chloe thanked her, giving her a weird look as she turned to continue giggling to the other assistants about something or other. Chloe made her way up the stairs to her own room that she had requested from the staff, calling out Entreri and Saku as she got ready for bed.

Vhan stirred slightly in his sleep, hearing a sound outside his room. It sounded remarkably like giggling, though it disappeared before he could be certain. When all was quiet for a few moments, he got comfortable and fell asleep again rather quickly.

Kaya offered Brayden a very small, loving smile as he carried tha younger male into the room. "We shall." he replied simply. He opened the door with little trouble and pushed it open, carrying his prone partner into the lavishly decorated room. Ironically it was set up like one of those cliche honeymoon suites. The bed shaped like a heart and covered with red silk bedclothes. It was designed to inspire passion in it's inhabitants.
"Cliche much?" he asked sarcastically, though it was directed at no-one in particular.
After a moment to look around, he carried Brayden over to the bed and laid him down gently. "So loverboy, what do you think?" he asked softly, gesturing to the accommodations. "Will this be alright for our first time together?" he asked hesitantly, almost afraid that Brayden would be displeased.

As Brayden was laid on the bed he flushed faintly. It was a solid reminder of what was to come, and he looked forward to it. After depositing his bag on the floor beside the bed, he gathered a glance about the room that they'd be spending the night in.
Brayden couldn't help but chuckle at their accomodations, they certainly were... interesting? He stretched out a bit on the bed, glancing about the room for a moment before his gaze fell back on Kaya.
He smiled at the question, shaking his head, "I think its fine," he confirmed with a light laugh, "Honestly, it doesn't matter much as far as decorations go," he admitted with a genuine smile to his partner.
"We could be sitting in the desert in Hoenn, and I'd still think it'd be perfect," he laughed.
"You're all that matters in here," he smiled, leaning forward to kiss Kaya.
