Um...Freakezette? Your link to your blog isn't working. Did you change it or something? Cause I would really love to type in Japanese. It'll beat using the Character Map for everything.

@Hermonie Urameshi: The tutorial was re-posted onto the first page of the thread.
All right, so I have had my Japanese Global IME installed for a month or two at this point, and it just occured to me today that I don't know how to input smaller hiragana and katakana such as - ぇ (like in words such as ねぇ- I had to copy and paste this from lyrics to get it). I can only type small hiragana such as ゃand ゅ because they're tacked onto things like "kya" and "nya"… does anybody know how to do this?

Heh, I'm lame and do much the same thing for the other small characters. For example, it's really hard to get the small ィ for リンディ. The easiest way for me to pull that up is to tack the desired vowel sound onto a ふ. So by typing out 'fi' in romaji, I can get ふぃ or フィ. Similar results can be gotten by typing 'fa', 'fe', and 'fo'. You can get similar results by using the letter 'v' instead of the letter 'f'.
Convoluted enough for you? <_<; If anyone knows a more legit way to get around this, I'm all ears.

whe converting romaji to hiragana we type "lo" "la" "le"(the l standing for little) that is same for everything else (you can also type "x__"), but i seldom have to do this, only here where i must type at english i quickly type at english and then hit conversion key (i hope this is same for the MIE or whatever it called)

I really, really appreciate that, especially since none of the guides I saw seemed to mention how to do this. Thanks so much for the tip!

OK, I'm going to need some advice for this...
I want to live in Japan, but I don't know what kind of career I want there. So what I want to know is what kind of career can you get in Japan?

Everyone at my work asks me, "Hey, what class are you taking at the community college?"
And i reply, "Japanese," because I'm still in high school and only needed one class to get a half-day schedule... and i like japanese.
"What? But...but... WHY?" the always say.
What do they mean why?
You don't question people when they take Spanish or French.
Just 'cause I'm korean, have no asian culture (being adopted), and can't speak a whole lot of Japanese... doesn't mean they havae to question why i'm taking the class, right? sad

I have a question about Japan's money system: does anyone have a resource for the system of modern and Ancient Japanese money? As a writer, with a novel set within the feudal era, I want to make it as accurate as possible.

Maybe its kind of a silly question, but a lot of the times when I'm on Mixi (a Japanese blog) I see my friends using lots of little symbols that I have no idea how to type or something. Things like the little music note, hearts, stars, and such. Anybody know something about this, or doing such things on an American computer?

A while back, in response to this thread over at Tae Kim's forum, I found this page, which lists a whole bunch of codes, and the symbols they generate.
