Lewis Black is the closest thing to a benevolent god humanity can have. His gift is that of reason.

I can't remember the exact quote and the website isn't loading (fstdt), but there was one from last year that was an extended version of the 2nd law misuse, in which the creationist said "If there was something supplying the Earth with vast amounts of energy scientists would know about it!!!"

Hm.... you mean, like the SUN?

Quote:
"One of the most basic laws in the universe is the Second Law of Thermodynamics. This states that as time goes by, entropy in an environment will increase. Evolution argues differently against a law that is accepted EVERYWHERE BY EVERYONE. Evolution says that we started out simple, and over time became more complex. That just isn't possible: UNLESS there is a giant outside source of energy supplying the Earth with huge amounts of energy. If there were such a source, scientists would certainly know about it. [emphasis added]"

i have 2 things to say....since wen did a terrorist's bomb create life and existence, so how could a big bang?? Also evrything has a beggining, so wut was there before the "Big Bang"? The answer has to be a God or some supreme Deity or Entity. Even God has a beggining.........most likely not an end though.......................i am not accusing anyone of being heretic if they believe the "big bang" theory or trying to press my beliefs on ppl, i am just saying wut i believe and see as common sense and logic

Is the majority here unaware that a growing number of scentists are abandoning the evolutionist theory as more evidence contradicts the evolutionary theory, and major questions in evolution remain unawnserd?

how would a five or ten cell organisim work?

if life came from some primordial soup, why hasn't life been re-created in a lab, or created again in the wild?

why can't you remove blockage from the lungs of someone who chocked and bring them back to life?

why do we keep find Ancient art of dinosaurs from before we were supposed to know about them?

how did a complex organ like a stomach form? which came first, the acid or the mucus?

why do legs and eyes ALWAYS come in pairs on all but the odd mutant? couldn't SOMETING use three or five eyes in it's natural state?

Oh. My. God.

Although, I'll admit that the link to the ancient art; some of that was pretty convincing. Still, doesn't explain why there are so many fossils and not BONES.

TysonTheGreat
Quoted: "The human body is fairly simple, it's the brain that's complex. Evolution is not random at all, it's gradual process and takes millions of years to complete, and it's fairly precise as well. When a species find that something makes existance easier, they will evolve around it." by a friend of mine.

What was the Big Bang theory all about? It was all a random process where chemical one mixed with chemical two and they did such and such thing BY CHANCE. I capitalized "By chance" because it is a supposed belief.

What do you mean "The human body is fairly simple, it's the brain that's complex."? What have you learned in biology and life science? The human body is almost equally as complex than the brain. Look at the human heart and lungs. What goes on in there? Deoxygenated blood enters the heart, is pumped into through the right atrium and ventricals goes out the pulminary artery, is oxygenated in the lungs, returns to the heart via the pulminary vein, is pumped through the left atrium and is sent to the rest of the body through the Aorta.

This is what Wikipedia said about cloning (some think Wikipedia unreliable, but have your oppinion):

"Human cloning is the creation of a genetically identical copy of an existing or previously existing human. The term is generally used to refer to artificial human cloning; human clones in the form of identical twins are commonplace, with their cloning occurring during the natural process of reproduction. There are two commonly discussed types of human cloning: therapeutic cloning and reproductive cloning. A third type of cloning called replacement cloning exists in theory and is a combination of therapeutic and reproductive cloning. Replacement cloning entails the replacement of an extensively damaged, failed, or failing body through cloning followed by whole or partial brain transplant. It has been proposed as a way to greatly extend lifespan.

"Human cloning is among the most controversial forms of the practice.[4] There have been numerous demands for all progress in the human cloning field to be halted. Some people and groups oppose therapeutic cloning but many more oppose reproductive cloning. The American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) and other scientific organizations have made public statements suggesting that human reproductive cloning be banned until safety issues are resolved [5]. Serious ethical issues have arisen in discussions of harvesting of organs from clones. Some people have considered the idea of growing organs separately from a human organism - in doing this, a new organ supply could be established without the moral implications of harvesting them from human organisms. Research is also being done on the idea of growing organs that are biologically acceptable to the human body inside of other organisms, such as pigs or cows, then transplanting them to humans."

If I was considered a lesser being, I would have a strong spirit of Fredrich Neitzche's "Ubermensch." I would feel that because I am different, I am stronger.

Let us consider Uniformatarian Biology. Contradictions, contradictions, and further contradictions...

Let us consider the bacterial Flagella: A serious flaw to the Evolutionist's beliefs. How could such a simple life form have such a complex way of transportation?

Let us consider Carbon 14 Dating. We use this dating method by checking the ammount of carbon decay in a carcass. If it has a lot of carbon in it, it has freshly died. If one third of the carbon has decayed, we can say that the being died about 6000 years ago. If two thirds of the carbon has decayed, we can say that the being died about 14,000 years ago. If all the carbon is missing, we can say that the being died about 20,000 years ago. This doesn't mean that these processes are happening over millions of years. Are they evident at all? Where is the evidence? What do you have to say about the missing links?

This is my MAIN POINT: How could such a marvelous creation be created by an explosion? Look at something. I am looking at an LCD monitor in a dark room. How am I seeing it? First, the screen is projecting light and radiation. This light has entered my eye in a fixed ammount. No more, no less. The image is projected upside down and hits the back of my eye. That light sends electric signals down my optic nerve into my brain. There are millions of neurons in my brain. Some closest to my optic nerve recieve the message. The electical message is sent down an axon and to a synapse. There, the electical signal jumps from synapse to neuron from there the message is transfered to adjacent neurons...and so on. Finally, my brain consults my memory and tells me that I am logged in as Zaneak Trannyta at the 4kids forums and that there are words on the screen. Those words will soon be processed. All this happens in less than a millisecond. WOW. How could you, I, the materials in us, the materials in the floor in our houses, the atmosphere, this wonderful planet we live on, the Milky Way Galaxy, and all of Creation be created by an explosion? What rock can you stand upon? What can you say in defense? We are of God's creation. There are Evolutionists that have confessed that this is all to complex for Evolution. God has created us all in His wonderful image. All you have to do is truly Admit Beleive Confess and you
can live with Him forever in Heaven.

Amen.

This guy doesn't seem stupid, per se. Just... well, batshit insane. He doesn't have the slightest idea what he's trying to say.

hes trying to claim irreducible complexity, when we know that just isn't the case.

"Because God said so!"

I've heard that in various different forms from many people, online and offline.

Yesterday someone told me (here on Gaia even. Gasp!) that he believed in the Bible because he didn't find evolution realistic.
I had a good laugh, and heaven forgive me, but I could't continue a serious discussion with that man after that statement.

"If I disprove all other arguments, than mine must be right!
The Universe cannot have been caused by the Big Bang, because nothing was there. Nothing can't come from nothing. (Even though without a Universe we aren't sure the laws are still in effect.)
And The Universe can't have been around forever, because you cannot reach anywhere on an infinite time line. I win!"

"Then what created God? He can't create himself, and, according to your logic, he can't have been around forever."

"We aren't trying to find out if God exists or not. I'm just disproving other theories."

"But you disproved your own too!"

"...Shut up."

Yeah, I admit I added the shut up in there, but the rest is pretty much word for word.
