Character: Ligeia Choice: C RP Response: Ligeia skid to an unsteady stop as a ravine opened up before her. A groan of uncertainty escaped her as she debated her options. She didn't want to trust her luck with trying to jump the ravine, not having wings to carry her and a distinct lack of long jumping training made that a hard sell. A couple of others seemed to drop into the ravine, sliding down the sides and out of sight. That could be a possibility, but if the hunters caught up with them and found them? It'd be like fish in a barrel. Of course, it'd probably be difficult for the centaur to reach them down there, or an awkward retrieval process. No, she should keep going. Having hidden in the brambles had given her a little space from her pursuers. If she was quick, she might keep that distance. The centaur could probably clear the ravine with enough lead up and could cut her off then, but better a bridge than broken or sprained ankles. If she lingered too long they'd be able to cut her off on both sides and might cause her to fall. Not an option. She had to keep going!
Racing down to a fallen tree that stretched across the chasm, Ligeia jumped up on the log and made her way across with a light and hurried pace, using the occasional skeletal bare remnant of a branch to help her maintain her balance. 'Quickly, quickly. I can't let them get me! I have to get home!' The briars had gotten a few good scratches at her, had snagged at her clothes, but adrenaline is a hell of a drug. She wasn't about to let the stinging of relatively minor wounds slow her down.

Character: Tabi Choice: A RP Response: She'd lost Eir entirely now - stars above. This was a disaster, and it wasn't getting any better. Tabi came upon a ravine and, desperately, knew she couldn't jump over it, and she'd be too slow trying to walk across the tree trunk forming a makeshift bridge. So she slid down the side and hid for a moment, catching her breath, taking gulps of air for just a moment. If only she could see better - thanks to her missing glasses, she had no clue where she was going.

Character: Raspbina Luckwyn Choice: B RP Response: So far, so good. She'd been lucky not to get caught again. She skidded to a halt when she spied a chasm up ahead. "I can make it...I know I can make it," she said to herself, running back the way she'd came until she had enough room for a running start. She leapt at the last possible second and took a tumble when she landed on the other side. Bruised and scuffed but nothing broken. Good.
She kept going. She needed to get help.

Character: Cian Choice: C RP Response: Another ravine. Cian narrowed his eyes as he thought of his near mishap in the forest before. Of all the luck...
A fallen tree trunk looked to be of suitable length to bridge the gap. He moved to drag and shove it into place. Hopefully, it wasn't rotted and could bear his weight...

Character: Troy Choice: A RP Response:
Troy's gamble paid off as it seemed the brambles were something the centaur avoided....which was good for him and anyone else who decided the path of most resistance. He pulled himself out of the nettles, already able to feel the sting of quite a few cuts on his skin but he couldn't dwell on it. He stood up and started up his run again, not quite sure where he was going but looking for things that could give him a tactical advantage over the centaurs. He saw the ravine coming and paused for a second a ways away from it, looking about to assess his options as fast as he could. A nearby log....he could use it but then his hunters could use it, as well. He couldn't jump thanks to his wounded leg and he was certain the centaurs had enough muscle to make the jump without much effort....so really there was only one option that made the most sense and would be the most likely they would avoid. Troy ran to the edge of the ravine and slid over it, sliding down the rocky wall until he finally reached the bottom. The sudden landing made pain jolt through his body, grunting as he held back an agonized yelp through gritted teeth and taking a moment to breathe while keeping himself pressed against the wall. He looked over and saw someone else from their expedition party, recognizing Tabi and realizing that she didn't have her glasses. He carefully made his way over to her, still pressed against the wall, and lightly grabbed her hand. "Miss Tabi, my name is Troy. I'm from Clare's expedition. If we hurry and stay low, I can guide you." If she agreed, he would carefully lead her close against the wall along the bottom of the ravine, crouching down to stay out of sight until they could find a way to get out of it safely.

Character: Bertie Botts Every Flavour Beans Choice: B RP Response:
Sherbert tried not to think too hard about the grunts and cries he heard behind him, nor the sudden silence that followed. Where the woods had once been filled with the frantic panting of the hunted, now he only heard the not-so-distant sound of hoof beats. Would they kill them right away? Or would they hold them as prisoner for a while longer...?
He could not help it. The image of a half dozen carrion birds hovering over a dismembered arm seared across his retinas.
Sherbet stumbled. He grabbed hold of a low hanging tree branch and used it to steady himself. His other hand he clapped over his mouth. He paused there, tense and shaking. “Not now,” he chided himself. Concentrating his effort, he swallowed back the bile that threatened to rise. Keep thinking forward.
He turned his eyes to the path ahead. Not too far from where he stood, maybe fifty meters away, a jagged ravine cut through the forest undergrowth. Sherbet snapped the branch in his grip. A grin spread across face. Finally, a bit of luck. If he could get far enough ahead of the centaur, he might be able to slow them down a bit...
Making a break for it, Sherbet hoisted his wings and bounded into the air.
Sherbert is currently an NPC.

Character: Maarika RP Response: Maarika swore as the 'taurs came at her, grabbing her and hauling her back to the cages. She struggled, as hard as she could, trying to use her horns to slash at their arms and sides, because what the hell else was she going to do? Sit peacefully and let them just carry her? It's not like they weren't using a Nine be damned unfair game, and unfair tactic, in this... After all, they had twice the limbs, which was more powerful, AND they had the advantage of knowing the land.
These centaurs were jerks and if she got out of this, she was going to come up with an Anti-Centaur enchantment to keep the assholes away from her.

Aritao hesitates for only a moment before charging into the trees, her group of hunters following eagerly. Their herd may be one of the plains, but the thin forests bordering their territory and the denser trees was a common terrain for game. They slid easily between the trees, with some Centaurs having the perfect fur and skin colour to nearly camouflage themselves in the forest.
Aritao watched with satisfaction as some of the beasts were scooped up and dragged back to their glade. Some of the creatures kept bleating as they were hauled away, but that was common amongst their prey.
After a successful hunt through the trees, the Centaurs skidded to a halt as they were faced with a deep ravine. After a few seconds of consideration, they...

Character: Amity Choice: B RP Response: Amity clambered over the edge of the ravine when it was safe enough and continued her run through the forest, glancing back every so often to gauge just how much distance she might have put between herself and the centaurs.
Spoiler alert, it was definitely not enough.
She swore as she began to tip forward on the steep slope of the ground, leaning back as she ran. This only made her slower, though, she had to figure out something new. Looking ahead and gauging where the trees were, Amity took the road of potentially least resistance. She dropped to her knees and then to her side, rolling down the hill as fast as she could to the bottom.
Less resistance. Definitely not less painful. But hey, every rock she bumped into was a reminder that she wasn’t dead yet!
