Character:Raspbina Luckwyn Current Square: 8 to 9 Response:When the doctor Litch gave his name, Razz nodded with a wave. It was good to know there was someone out here that knew how to put Nightmares back together. She just hoped no one needed that kind of help on this trip.
She wasn't sure why she still followed the rude Grimm. Maybe it was because she didn't like being alone. She sighed and wandered toward a large and brightly colored flower in the center of a patch of grass. "Pretty," she murmured, moving closer and reaching out to it. One of her steps crunched and she stopped. That did not sound like a stick breaking. She looked down. Bones? She shuddered. This place was getting creepy now.
She picked up one of the smaller bones and wondered if it belonged to a creature or a Nightmare. It felt like they might have found a clue, though. She stepped away from the flower; it was seriously harshing her vibe. Even that Doctor Devon wouldn't be able to put that body back together. Well. Unless he was a necromancer. And even thinking that made her creepy feeling intensify. She scooped up her flitterat and held him close to her chest.
They really needed to find this Dr. Horn dude and get the hell out of this place. There was just something way off about it. Something wrong in the air. She looked around, trying to see what was going on with everyone else. Hopefully they had found more clues and they would all be able to put them together and figure it out.

Character:Lycos Current Square: 13 to 18 Response:
While still enamored with the paper with the pressed flowers, Lycos figured they'd make a few more movements, expecting Latros to follow suit. Butters stayed perched on their shoulder, and with an encouraging click of the tongue, clambered up their ear, and up on top of their head. Snuggling down with a content little 'hff', Butters decided that right then was a good time for a nap.
Lycos, on the other hand, felt the opposite. This was no time to be napping! There was a person in trouble! Maybe many people in trouble! Not to mention, there was...a lot of pretty flowers. So many. Pink ones and blue ones and yellow ones, and even the sky was so pretty and clear. There were streams and hills, little insects darting to and fro, and the gentle breeze rustled their fur in just such a way that it felt like they were being gently caressed by some unknown being.
Honestly, it was peaceful. So peaceful in fact, that upon swaying a bit on the spot, they were seemingly jolted awake again. It wasn't normally like them to doze off like that, especially with so much energy they were feeling! But with their mind at ease, and catching sight of the others searching, Lycos made a note that, if they bumped into that one hybrid again, to as if they had to apologize for something. Probably not, they didn't do anything wrong...but then again, maybe in their culture a wrinkled nose was rude beyond belief?
Not something to think of now, as they decided to continue forth, towards where they last saw someone stop and stare for a bit. Maybe another clue?!
Cyan was panting heavily by the time her and Honey had escaped from the swarm of creepy crawlies. Or were they flying creepers? Cyan didn't really care at this point. So far the search had proven to be incredibly bizarre. Nothing about any of this was making sense yet. Cyan felt like she was missing some sort of critical piece of information that would tie it all together. But what?
Just as Cyan was mulling over the events of the day thus far, something suddenly caught her attention. The flowers were all torn up. Why? Cyan removed her hand from over the mug to give honey some more air to breathe, kneeling down to pick up the feathers that seemed to be in the center of it. Maybe it was like a bird of paradise making its nest? Or trying to put on a display for a potential mate? Based on the feathers, that would make the most sense.
Just as Cyan got back to her feet she noticed in the distance a rather large bird swooping at one of the other members of the search party. Ah, maybe they belong to that one? It was the logical conclusion. After all, the colours of the feathers seemed to match up.
"You alright there?" Cyan called out to the other member, although Cyan had yet to be introduced to this one in particular. "That bird looked like it got the jump on ya'! If you need help, let me know okay?"

After speaking to the Doctor who suddenly appeared out of nowhere or at least it seemed that way to him, he looked about and saw tons of insects. Why so many of these here? He needed to look about to figure out why, but nothing seemed to be of any interest. Looking about for his new "friend" he wanted to wander to the next square but needed to wait for something!

Character:Latros Current Square: 12 to 13 Response:
Latros bounded after Lycos, a little upset that they had spotted the neat page of flowers first, but still joining in the excitement. ”Ooooo, do you think it’s a clue? Do the flowers mean something maybe?” They weren’t sure if a message could be coded in a sheet of pressed flowers, but it was all they had so far, had to make the best of it!
They looked around the area, searching for more pages to help unravel whether or not this was a message or just something that got lost. Unfortunately, there didn’t seem to be anything else in the area, just flowers and bugs and...ooh! A pretty bug! Stooping down to inspect it, they were suprised when their flitterat companion leapt at the bug and chomped it down in a few bites. ”Hey! Buggy! You could have waited until I was done looking at it first!”
They frowned at the flitterat, pretty sure the name was fitting given their behavior so far. ”Fine, but I’m eating the next bug you want to look at.”
Glancing over at their twin, they shrugged slightly at the lack of things to do, and pointed off in a promising direction. ”How about that way? Looks kinda peaceful.” Not that they really had any better ideas, they were just guessing at this point, but also trying to cover as much ground as they could between the group. There didn’t seem to be that much dangerous stuff out here, just...remnants of people passing through. Boring, but could be worse they supposed.

Character:Sierra Current Square: 14-19 Response: This was not making any sense. The person, Coralynne was talking about seeing something in frost……..when they were in the middle of a giant meadow. They also mentioned finding something similar to her parchment…. and also did not seem to be very keen on the idea of meeting up with her. Which of course made her even more suspicious. She could very well be a doubleagent. She was a kirin and there for a daydream afterall. Who knows what she could be up to. They had come from out here….from above at least. Sierra didn’t have the firmest grasp on Above geography. But Sierra knew hiding things…...and there was something about this Kirin that rubbed her fur the *wrong* way. Best to follow to be safe. She heard murmering ahead and possibly another voice calling out…..these blasted flowers were everywhere… how could anyone make sense of a thing here. Sounds seem to come out of nowhere, and the horizion had vanished on one side as she waded into deeper flowers.
With great resolve she shook her muzzle and re adjusted the handkerchief to keep the pollen out. Then the grimm heard another shout, Coralynne again going deeper into this...frost… patch. And from the voices faintess she was turning away from Sierra. Bloody night she was gonna loose her. Picking up her pace slightly she altered course to follow the spy. All the while stroking her Precious raton her shoulder Curiously the squeaks of the flitrat had fallen quiet. Sierra took this as a sign and was ready for danger.((wc 264))

Prompt for Square 9
There are insects everywhere, but one in particular catches your eye. It's a chubby, hovering fluffbug! It's so full of nectar it doesn't seem to be able to fly very high, but it sure seems friendly.

Prompt for Square 13 It seems as though you've wandered into the middle of the meadows now. All around you are flowers, hills and streams. It would be so easy to lose yourself here forever... but wait, why were you here again?

Prompt for Square 14
You're wandering towards the tall, grass-like flowers now. You've lost the horizon in one direction, and in all the others you can almost be blinded by the beautiful flowers.
Aria Starstone
Prompt for Square 18
You've strayed into a very small forest that stand near the middle of the meadows. It is only a few trees deep and, at the very centre, there is a fairy ring of mushrooms growing. Something tells you that it wouldn't be wise to lick one of these mushrooms. In the middle of the ring, there is a clear indent in the grass; it looks like something heavy has been placed here before.
You have found a Clue!

Prompt for Square 19
Something blots out the sun for a moment. Looking for the source of the sudden eclipse, you see a shadow dive towards you. A 'woosh' goes past you and suddenly you see a large, brightly coloured bird land on the small tree in front of you. It sits for a moment with its large wings outstretched, soaking in the light. You've never seen a creature quite like it, but it seems intrigued enough to follow you.
Milady Emerald
Prompt for Square 24
You're surrounded by flowers, but with the edge of the forest near you, suddenly the atmosphere has shifted. Your feet are surrounded by leaves and sticks instead of beautiful flowers. On one small patch of wildflowers, a circlet of twigs and leaves sit on the flowers like a crown on a pillow. Who could have left this here?

Prompt for Square 25
Closer to the forest than the flowers, you can see a wide lake stretches out past the meadows. With the sun glittering off the surface, it's impossible to tell how deep the water is. Better not test it for now.

Character:Maarika Current Square: 14 to 199 Response: Maarika moved north, petting Ander as she moved. Her new companions talked quietly together. She found herself baffled by how the horizon could disappear... This whole area seemed to be pretty flat, so surely there wasn't much between her and it? Still, she kept moving, and did take amazement in the incredible number of gorgeous flowers.
She did have to keep herself from thinking too hard about that one she'd spotted a bit back, though, and insidious thoughts it caused her about how that might connect to how rich this place was. Instead,s he just took her photos, and made mental notes about things she wanted to try when she was back home. (WC: ?)
Character:Devon Current Square: 9 to 14 Response: Well, that interaction ended as well as they thought it would. Devon sighed to themself, shifting their bag- carefully as not to dislodge their new flutterrat friend. They didn’t know what they were expecting. Most people didn’t really go out of their way to speak with them. Not that they blamed them, they weren’t the best conversationalist and they had been told their personality was a bit dry. Though they didn’t really come here to make friends, did they? It was strange that they had to keep reminding themselves that- normally they were very work oriented. Perhaps it was the utter lack of medical work that they were finding in the current situation. And all this walking around with nothing but their thoughts? Hum. Well, it was probably best for everyone if they didn’t have much to do- that meant that people weren’t getting themselves hurt. Which was good. Except it left them feeling a bit useless.
Distracted by their train of thoughts, they almost didn’t notice the little fluffbug that fluttered near them. They smiled down at them. “You do look a little weighed down. Would you like a ride? It seems I’ll probably be stuck in this field for the foreseeable future and I would not notice the extra weight. Besides, it seems familiars are the only ones that will stay in my company for extended periods, so I would not mind you staying.” They chuckled, reaching their hand out. The little fluffbug landed, and Devon placed it on the top of his bag. What an odd trip this has been.

Character:Coralynne Current Square: 24 to 23 Response: Coralynne heard a voice in a direction she had not known anyone to be in. Looking over to her right she saw that someone else was walking beside the grid she was in. Calling back, Coralynne says, “Oh ya this beautiful bird about scared the wits out of me, but ill be ok thank you.” It was very nice of the hybrid to offer to help her though. “Thank you for the offer though. By the way my name is Coralynne.” Not wanting to be rude, Coralynne adds “If you need anything at all I can try and help.” She added since she had yet to meet this person yet.
Turning back, she could hear Sierra following close behind her. The grimm had a very suspicious look directed and her, but Coralynne wasn’t sure why. It was however awesome that Sierra was following her but a little worrisome since Sierra was the one she told about going into the forest. “Did you tell anyone that we are going to the forest?” She calls to Sierra hoping she had. Coralynne couldn't help but be cautious; this was the Lost Lands after all. Plus if they did get lost someone should know to come look for them.
The meadow far behind her now, Coralynne was now walking through a leaf and pine needle covered forest. There is one small patch of wildflowers. On top of these flowers sits a crown of some kind made of twigs and leaves. “What the chicken is this?” she says to herself. Better yet who made it? Her muse asked. Unsure of what more she can do, Coralynne adds the crown to her bag and starts off in the zag to her zig pattern. But not before she calls back to Sierra to say, “I’m heading this way if you would like to follow me?” Coralynne points to the left and starts to move that direction.

Character:Sierra Current Square: 19 Response: Wait a miniute…………….there had been no flares sent up………………...and the kirin could do magic………………….and Clare who was a Day Dream never told anyone about the flowers………...something was rotten here and Sierra was gonna find out what. She HOWLED
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! EXPEDITION ROLE CALL……..WHO CAN HEAR ME! ALL WHO CAN HEAR ME SOUND OFF OR COME TO MY VOICE……CLARE- CLARE WE NEED YOUR LEADERSHIP
Coralynne seemed nice enough. Cyan offered a good-natured wave towards the other member of the search party, who seemed to be busy with a straggler. "I'm all good! Glad you're okay!" Cyan was a little relieved to see that they were genuinely alright, then turned to continue along their chosen path.
After some more wandering (and careful looking) Cyan somehow ... ended up by a lake? Man, this meadow had a lot going on, and now really wasn't the time to go for a dip as much as she really wanted to stick her toes in the lake. But, there were more important things at stake. Honey, on the other hand, had other things in mind. The flitterat jumped out of the cup she had been carrying them in and scurried off towards the water's edge. The way that the sun glittered off the surface of the water certainly seemed inviting, and Honey had fallen victim to its serenity.
Well, perhaps a little break would help Cyan clear her head and absorb what had happened to her so far.
Cyan joined Honey by the edge of the lake, settling into the grass but keeping her legs crossed. With the weird swarming bugs and all the abandoned mugs, there had to be something else going on here. But what? What could it possibly be.
Cyan huffed loudly, scratching at her jaw. She had to start piecing this together. There had to be a reason for all this.
The hybrid lost perhaps twenty minutes before coming to their senses. They had to get back to it. Break over.

Character:Kerrick Current Square: 9 to 14 Response:
Not seeing his new friend anywhere he decided to move on to the next area to investigate. His familiar friend who he decided to call Misfit for the time being was perched comfortably on his shoulder. Their little nose twitching here and there causing their whiskers to brush up against his hair which tickled his face. He laughed it was a carefree laugh. Shocked he stopped dead in his tracks, it has been so long since he actually laughed for the joy of it and not to play "cat and mouse" with his mark.
"Maybe coming here was a good thing, what do you think Misfit?" he asked the cute familiar. It seemed to respond by twitching its nose and he laughed again.
As he walked into the beautiful green grass area his movements caused some insect familars to began to flutter about in the air. He began to slow his steps but the insects kept dashing about in the air, some hovered really high up above his head others hovered chest level with him and a few at his knees. But one little one was barely hovering at all. It was as if it was either full or just exhausted.
It has made eye contact with Kerrick and Misfit did not seem to be agitated by this familiars presence so he decided to sit down and try to coax it to him. Kerrick had a weak spot for familiars although not many knew that. His schooling, job and his "night job" kept him pretty busy but he did want a few of his own. Now he has a Flitterrat and maybe just maybe a Fluffbug who was just that fluffy but cute!
Putting out his hand he made soft noises to see if the Fluffbug would come to him and after a few minutes it made its way over and gently landed in his outstretched palm. It tickled but Kerrick did not mind, it felt good. Those tiny little hairy legs were cute.
So engrossed in his new friend he forgot what he was there for!

Character:Sierra Current Square: 19- 18 Response: The sound of her howl still ran in her ears and that thrumming hum of vibration that ran through her acted like a slap to the face. What was she doing!? She was gonna blow her cover and get herself killed or worse…….the family could be far….far worse.
She shuddered hard, and as she did she shook her muzzle and her handkerchief fell off. Reaching automatically to catch it, the thing fell open, it was covered in yellow pollen. And pieces clicked together. She’d fought so hard against the Euphoria that her psyche had run the other direction straight down the frennikit hole of paranoia. Whelp. She’d made her bed and now she’d lie in it. Make it work.
The sweet motherly lady she was portraying would have had little defence against the flowers, and being afraid she’d called to rally people. It made sense, with enough luck she could spin it that way. Tell anyone who heard her howl and call that someone...er…. Coralynne….the KIRIN was heading into the forest…...and shed got frightened by the bird and combined with the effects of the flowers she’d panicked.
Speaking of the bird….it was still sat on that small tree, staring at her…...Did it want to eat Precious? Cautiously she held her other arm out like a hawker and the bird came to land there. Apparently if she didn’t get along with the citizenry she got along fine with the animal kingdom.
With that she started to head backwards or as backwards as she could tell, to the carriages.

Character:Clare Current Square: 8 to 13 Response: Clare was glad to see a few familiar faces, offering a small wave to the other expedition members in the area. They'd spread out so far that it was a relief they could still run into each other. She was so eager to say hello, she hadn't noticed the strange area she had found herself in. It wasn't until she heard a crunch under her foot that Clare stopped, still as a statute. Where had the flowers gone? It was a circle of... nothing. She stared at the single, yellow flower, swaying gently in the middle of the dead ground. It seemed so innocent, its sweet smell surrounding her. She took a hesitant step back, inspecting the ground where she'd stood."Bones...?"She muttered. Some sort of predatory flora, then - it emitted a sweet smell to lure prey and then... what? Why were they scattered about? She needed to mark this area off, make sure no one touched it-
Shouting. Her name. Clare's head snapped towards the direction of the call. It was that way, right? No... that way. She began to run towards the voice, tears pricking at her eyes. What had happened to make someone so desperate?'Please be okay, please be okay.'She chanted to herself. After a few minutes of running, she had to stop and catch her breath, apologising to the flitterat for the bumpy ride. Leaning back, Clare twitched her ears up, hoping to remember where the sound had come from. It was too far away, the valleys and foothills too inconsistent to carry sound in a straight line. She stopped, still panting lightly, staring into the sky."Some saviour you are,"she mumbled bitterly to herself.
Clare is always available if you have information or questions !
