Still a no, still a determined woman. Kes paid out again, blue eyes flashing dangerously as she withdrew another collection for the toss.

The DJ wasn't giving in easily, and she was bound and determined tyo win, even if it cost her the food trucks and seeing how spicy some places were. Who cared?

SHE HAD A MISSION NOW: OPERATION SAVE FISH.

It happened again! Could I really be this lucky?

Alphonse was amazed at his luck. He had won a second fish now on top of his previous one - that pretty little goldfish he had won in his first round.

He watched as others around him got their first wins. They were of all ages. An older business man. A single mother. Some college kids only a bit younger than himself. And a boy of a mere ten years and his sister still to young to let go of his hand. Everyone could enjoy this.

The young man didn’t believe in pushing his luck, but what was he to do? He just had to try for a third fish and that koi upgrade now!

Alright, let's see...Brendan screwed his face up with concentration, perhaps to amuse some of the kids watching him, and gave the booth a shot. Ping...Ping...PONG. "YEAH!" he said, pumping his fist in the air. One of the kids snickered at his display, which made it worth it to him.

Now he had the fish! Excellent! Sort of. Again he was faced with the issue of, well, deciding whether or not the fish was worth taking at the moment. He shook his head at the booth manager. "Nah, dude, I'll see if I can go for the koi. Keep me in the record or something?"

Cue finger guns. Man, he needed to stop just randomly doing that.

With two fish, having picked which two he wanted, Xi-Wang was feeling a bit better about things and paid once more. He was hoping for that third fish so he could get a koi - he really did want a koi fish...so pretty.

Ping pong balls handed too him, again, he took careful aim and threw each once gently....hoping to get at least one more into a bowl...oh he really had his fingers crossed. Nischal wouldn't mind fish - right?

What was with this game!? She couldn't land a single point! Already, she could imagine her younger sister laughing at her as she seamlessly won all the goldfish only to drop them in a pond. (And boy, did she wish she was making that up)

"Hiya!" Evren yelled on her turn as she threw the ping pong balls. Only to give a sigh of defeat when none of them entered in any fish bowls. Puckering her lips as it seems she wasn't freeing any fish this round.

"Yah!" The sounds Evren made were way to over dramatic as she just threw all the balls at once instead of one at a time like a normal person. This time she was lucky enough to get one into one of the bowls. She smiled as she was handed a goldfish. Evren stared blankly. "Unfortunately, Sir Buttonwood one of you does not a rescue mission make... I must win more so we may release you a proper tank because it's not a good idea to just randomly throw fish into a river."

Evren threw all the balls and none of them went into any. Letting out a breath of air her bangs. Holding the goldfish closer to her chest she squinted. "We're going to win another friend Sir Buttonwood... or go broke trying." It seemed Evren was determined to go through with operation save the fish and put them in a bigger tank.

Evren once again threw the balls into the bowls. And this time she managed to get another ball in one of the bowls. With a smile, she took the goldfish handed to her. "Alright with Sir Buttonwood and Lady Evalyn and together we shall collect even more fish!" Yes, she was just beginning on her crusade to free these fish.

With a huff, Evren managed to miss all the bowls she was aiming for this round of throws. Holding onto the bags that held the goldfish she decided to back away from the game and get some snacks before coming back to try and get some more fish.

Only two fish...still just two fish. Sighing he handed over some more money, sort of not really wanting to pay more but he really wanted to win.

With some more ping pong balls in hand he tossed them, trying to toss them from above into the bowls. He really wanted to get at least one more gold fish - he really did. If he was lucky he could get at least one more before he went broke...or before someone or something cut him off from continuing this game.

Toss, miss. Toss, miss. Toss...miss. Dangit! Di huffed at how much she lost compared to winning. It didn't seem right. Though a lot of other people were playing... Pretty crowded, pretty competitive.

The thought didn't make her feel much better, to be honest. A grown woman, doing poorly at fish... That was carnival games for you. She knew that. Even getting two at all beat the usual odds, probably.

Okay. She'd cool down and try again later.

Fish. Fish fish fish fish...

Another dollar went toi the Attendant, Kes nartrowing her eyes to focus a third time as she scowled.

Was she going anywhere?... Nope, and she played again, expression dour. She HAD to save a fish!

Goldfish games! Loren loved goldfish games! Granted, that was partly because they were a recurring trope in his favourite dating sim games, but he couldn't deny the excitement when he saw the booth for catching swimming goldfish. There was absolutely no hesitation in his step as he hurried over to get in line. The best part, to him, was that he'd get a goldfish if he won (or even a koi). His parents would be bemused at best for him to bring it home, but he was excited at the prospect. Besides, it wasn't like he was a little kid. They'd be okay with it as long as he took care of it and bought the things to keep it alive.

And not a tiny, tiny bowl, either. He knew the "1-inch-1-gallon" rule.

Oh, it was finally his turn! He took the balls and gazed up into the tank of water with the fish in it, watching the fish swim around. Loren studied each one, trying to figure out which fish he wanted to try and take home with him. That one had more energy, but that one was actually seeming to interact with the people playing the game...

And there was the koi, of course.

Speaking of, it was his turn, and he should probably actually play the game. Focusing, he gave a toss for each of the balls he'd been given. Two of them actually got really close! But not close enough, and he didn't actually win a goldfish. Well, okay, it could have been worse. He was definitely going to try that again.
