Clyde hadn't realized he was staring. But the moment they made eye contact he noped on out of there.

This was not his day to die thanks.

"Leave to where?" It was a little sharp, his own eyes tight as his father started another lecture: this one inspired by his nearness to Zeke, the easy physicality, the way they leaned on each other, the things they did. Of course, Julian the first had no idea of any of this -- in order to know about Zeke he'd have to have spoken to Ever sometime in the last eight or so years -- but there was no logic to the words.

He'd known enough. Even before the great reveal, he'd known enough.

Ever shook his head, trying to ignore it, and tightened his grip on Zeke's shoulder to guide him through the fog. They certainly weren't going to find a way out by just standing here. A stab in the dark was better than nothing.

Aisha wandered in the white, bewildered by the sounds and faces around her. She was confused, so confused, and lost. There were pleas for help, something she couldn't really ignore, and the ghoul wandered towards them..

"I can help you just-" But no, phantoms. Just swirls of white and refractions of color.

Useless... but she was, wasn't she? She didn't know why she was anywhere, what her purpose was truly. Perhaps whatever this was, it was simply right about her. Aisha began to think she should abandon herself to this, this feeling of failure, to let it eat her up.. devour her..

But somewhere there was a thrumming beat in the back of her mind and it wasn't just her she was to be concerned about. She'd been instilled with value placed on life, or unlife in her case, but the preservation of it. What of her father? What of finding her true path? She wasn't a failure.. she didn't fail anyone yet.. Maybe herself but she was young..

Unfortunately the longer she wandered the less clear it became.. and the voices sounded like her friends and her dad and her logic got skewed.. What if? Maybe she had.. Maybe..

Something was close to her and she swiped at it. Fog blew and curled around her fingers and faces distorted and disappeared. Each step increased the anxiety.. the paranoia.. She could hear that hunter, the one that looked like her, laughing and calling her a monster.

Was she? Maybe she was... It was creeping in on her and moment by moment she thought less of getting out.

Terry had stumbled through the fog with a grimace rather than his usual blank expression. There was no one around for him to hide his feelings from, and with the voices whispering in his head, he didn't think it would do him any good in any case. He almost found it hard to distinguish Agata from the rest.

The lamprey monster was not pleased by her competition. She was upset and protective and possessive and prepared to literally shred anyone with her teeth if they dared try to harm her bonded. Granted she wouldn't be able to help herself from giving said protection. She might as well try not to exist.

But no matter if there had been other people present or not, the fog was making it so much easier for Terry to fall back upon freezing in response.

What sort of life would one have had where the memories that the voices chose to repeat were nothing more than snippets of old shows? Lines of dialog that were never really spoken to him insomuch as at him? He was a voyeur for most of his life, though a part of him would correct that as target audience. Terry wasn't certain which sounded worse.

On the one hand, at least his viewing was sought after and he wasn't being some sort of creep intruding on the privacy of others. On the other hand, he could be anyone and that anonymity was double-edged sword.

There was a sensation of a hug, of a presence trying to cocoon him mentally. Agata?

His weapon did not answer, not vocally at least. But it was her. It had to be her. Terry didn't think there would be anyone else.

The monster horse did not miss the voices. It wasn't to say that the whole thing was all new to him, he'd spent how many years in Amityville at this point? He genuinely thought simply not attending those dangerous field trips would mean (relative) safety. But whatever these things were, they clearly went for the school grounds. It wasn't safe there, not the way it used to be safe.

The question Petro now had was whether or not it was safe to be in Halloween at all? The Horsemen's arrival in Halloween World seemed to have caused something to shift in the way Halloween worked. There weren't any sudden sicknesses sweeping the world, not like the way it was now. But maybe that was just the Insanity talking.

Kimberly peered around the fog, squinting a bit as she struggled to figure out how to get out of the fog. She could hear other voices and knew that others were around her. Stumbling a bit she reached her hands out, seeking, needing to feel someone near her. There were things she knew and things she felt were slipping through the net of her mind like sands. She grit her teeth and kept walking blindly.

To live in a game, to just watch time pass and not have to worry about doing anything. She kept reaching, kept seeking. There had to be a reason for her being.. a reason she lived. She had always intensely saught the connections of other people, but usually it was for no reason at all. Or at least to no avail.

Why had she been trying? To feel something inside. Had she always felt so cold down deep? Yes, she had but she could cover it well couldn't she? A smile on the face and a knife in the heart. Why try? She could just give up here right. Sit down and let the mist settle around her. It was so tempting. Drop her hands, sit down and just.. stop.

Kimberly stopped moving, a sense of someone near her, someone close to her. It was almost as if she was standing back to back with someone else, but she could not tell who or what it was. A sense of closeness though almost making it through the ice forming around her.

Give up.. just stop..

She wanted to, but she had to have some reason for being, she had to try and find it inside of herself.

No, don't bother, it will just hurt you. They all leave.

Yeah, they do don't they. They all find something or someone else more important. There was someone near her though, the sounds of fighting, the sounds of danger. One hand rose to her head, her head felt like it was splitting. She had to find out.. who.. what was it that was so important that she had gone on this long.

Not who, what... no.. not what... who... no.. no...

Agh, there was nothing. Her mind couldn't hold the thoughts in place. She leaned back a bit, supporting herself on the back behind her. Something felt nice about that..

As strung out as Zeke was, he didn't seem to register the tone in Ever's voice, or at least want taking it personally. It was hard to tell. "Away from here." Anywhere had to be better than this fog drenched nothingness with it's ceaseless whispering.

He grieved, thoughtful, as they started moving, pale eyes turning to Ever. "Do you hear it too?" Maybe not the same thing, but something.

After the horseman replica disappeared, the petite Death huntress moved on to search for an exit out. What Shu didn't notice was the fog slowly wrapped around her as she walked, when she realized she was within a thick fog of nowhere, it was already too late.

"Z, Z, are you still there?" She called her partner urgently to confirm they weren't separate again, amidst a field of greyness and complete silent. She could hear clearly someone was approaching and then voices.

Hallucinations.

Her heart bounced in alert and she kept on reminding herself what she saw and heard won't be the truth. She summoned Z, clung onto it to tell her which was the reality. Shu knew she wasn't a smart person but that was the only method she could think of.

Please end my suffering, a voice said. Another voice seemed despair, they claimed there was no hope and that they're gone. The fog seemed infinite, Shu swung the hammer hoped to fan off some to no avail.

You've killed them all!

Suddenly, she heard a familiar voice, so familiar that her heart beat skipped. That moment had shaken her stand, the voice was soaked in anger and grief. She knew the voice. Shu's eyes dilated, she moved backwards while her eyes fixed on the shadow. For a moment, it looked like it would gain shape into the person she had in mind. Whole of her body was rejecting their existence, she incessantly shook her head and wanted to run away.

Yet, her body was frozen, her legs felt like petrified and stuck on the ground. Shu seemed to see the woman looked at her with deep grudges. "N-No....It was an accident." Her own voice trembled. "I love them, I love them so much, why would I want them to die?"

The petite Asian can't even fight when that was her - her - You're a monster! You come to destroy our happy family. "Please - please don't say that, I always want the best for all of us, not the worst." She felt helpless that person thought she was like that.

"Please, don't say that."

"Please, Mom." She besought in a feeble manner, indulged in the unforgettable past.

Petro had gotten accustomed to ignoring the voices as he traversed the fog. He had no positive experience with this weather, be it since his first year going on a field trip, or now when it was all around him simply because it was. He was tired of it, tired of everything, but he wasn't going to just give up! That was not the way he was raised and giving up was not how he managed to survive for this long.

The voices were getting worse though, familiar words spoken in unfamiliar tones had a higher likelihood of getting to the monster horse. He resorted to covering his ears, uncaring if anyone should see him in that state. But that proved futile as the voices continued their tirade.

A fog, a thick, dense expanse of fog was all there was all around him that he could see right now but he had a disgusting feeling that there was more to this place than he had yet to witness so far. Danirate wanted out of this place and with this goal being the center of his present focus, he walked on in search of a way out.

And then he saw something else eventually, a shadow here and then a shadow there. The appearance of a stalking shadow became more frequent as the seconds ticked by. And then the voice started talking, mocking him, continually questioning him about what he really wanted, if what he wanted to do was get out of here or actually to leave behind what existence he knew of himself, the existence that comprised of him being who he was as a Amityville student and all else that his past consisted of.

He remained silent as he proceeded, attempting to ignore the shadows and the voice that sounded so much like a familiar presence yet sounded nothing like her at the same time. The voice, taunted him again, going on to question his state of mind by making sense and yet not. His mind had begun to bend and be inclined to question similar thoughts as well about what he really wanted, how he really felt. Did he want to get out of here so as to go back to his past or did he really want to stay away from his past, to keep away and further distance himself from there or to escape from here?

The fog itself was not entirely unfamiliar, and it's presence, swirling like cold currents around her, left the djinn on edge, her senses raw and straining. She didn't like it here--and why should she? She had encountered nothing but nightmares up to this point--and didn't have a clue how she'd gotten there, or how to get out again. Searching for an escape seemed futile, the more she walked, the deep she felt she was getting, and the louder...

"How does it feel to know you're a monster?"

Yaya's teeth ground, but she'd snap back a retort after a short stretch of weighted silence. "I am a demon. Insignificant cur."

"You are a murderer."

It was hissed just beside the shell of her ear, and Yaya jerked, swinging an elbow back to strike the offender, and finding nothing.

Which was as it should be, but why could she still hear the hunter that had stolen her face? Yaya checked the lifeless body, the woman had been dead.

"Are you sure of that?"

"Oh yes, I am very sure. Human's are such fragile things." The djinn snorted softly,a small smirk forming on dark lips. "Your lungs filled with water, and watched as your fought to breath past it. You are dead." It was cold and satisfied. "Now leave me alone so I can find my way out of here."

"Is there a way out? Are you sure?"

"There is always a way out." With a turn, Yaya continued walking.

Sherry was almost sure it was her imagination, but the fog seemed to grow a little bit thicker with every step. That was usually how it was, wasn’t it? The fog gets thicker and thicker until you find something you don’t want to find.

I’ve found you.

Sherry stopped and looked around. “Who said that?”

I’ve found you. I’ve found you. Found you dead.

“What?” Looking around in the fog was pretty useless, but Sherry did it anyway. Seeing nothing but gray, she stopped to listen. Nothing. Silence. She was hearing things again. With a sigh, she continued on.

aha.

Dead.

Broken.

The voices were there, just on the edge of her hearing this time. So clear but so faint. Sherry stopped again, straining to hear. Nothing.

I am something. Her own voice, the voice of her other self.

“You’re dead.”

Or you are. Sherry could hear the laughter in that voice.

“No,” Sherry shook her head. She knew she’d killed her other self. She knew it. She just had to leave –

This way. Over here.

Sherry stopped again. “Which way? Who are you?”

No, this way. xxxxxxxxxx All liars, this way.

I’m you. I’m the better you. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxAll dead, everyone is dead there’s no way out.

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxThis way is the way home, come, come.

Dead. xxxxxxxxxxx Safe.xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

I’m coming for you.

“No, no, no, no,” Sherry said, just to fill the silence that the voices didn’t. To bury them. “No. I’m fine I need to keep moving.”

She looked down at her hand. When had she summoned Armagnac? How long had she been holding her that tightly. Just as well. Just as well.

Sherry took a deep breath. She couldn’t do anything about the voices until one actually attacked her. “Just keep moving.”

There’s nowhere to go.

"I hear something..." He hesitated just a tiny bit, shooting a look back down to Zeke, his own eyes dark and serious. If Zeke had heard the things his father was saying, though, he thought the other man would look less hollow and more...angry. Ever grimaced a bit and tangled fingers with Zeke's to keep a good hold on him as they made their way through the fog.
