In due time, however, they would find that a Pokemon could find them instead. Breeze would fly out of the way while Amaranth had to duck to avoid a Meinfoo trying to hit the two with a jumping kick. It seemed quite hostile about their presence, but rather than try to fight it, they'd quickly flee elsewhere in the meadow and try to get elsewhere before it could catch up.

Kaya didn't notice the Elecrike wandering past the end of the tunnel leading out into the meadow, too busy looking toward the horizon for what he might find. Look too hard and you'll see nothing, after all.
Tomoe, however, saw it fine and blew a Fairy Wind at it, sending the electric pup scurrying away.

Wandering further out of the tunnel and into the meadow, Kaya and Tomoe looked for a Pokemon they might be interested in adding to the team.

With the announcement they were corralling in the main area to increase the pace, Beau took off again to patrol the area. It was time to find him some kaboom bird damnit.

Tomoe caught sight of the Meinfoo staring Kaya down before he did, tossing a Magical Leaf it's way before it could properly attack. It didn't stop the incoming assault, though. Meinfoo struck out with a fist shrouded in spiraling energy, it's Drain Punch aimed at Kaya's back.
"Flabé!" Tomoe exclaimed as she flew into the way, blasting a Fairy Wind that diverted the attack away and end up causing Meinfoo to decide it wasn't worth this much effort to beat someone up. It simply decided to try again later if it had the chance.

"I already have one of you guys...." Kaya told a Marill as it rolled up beside him, heading toward the riverside. "Go play with that Meinfoo that tried to mug me a few minutes ago." He said with a small laugh.

And Meinfoo was back again! Soaring in with a Jump Kick aimed at Kaya's head. This time, Tomoe was better prepared. She saw it coming in and sent a more powerful Fairy Wind at it than her last one. Meinfoo cut through the attack with relative ease, swinging it's leg at Kaya's head, only for the hybrid to duck.
The Fighting-type missed it's mark and bounced off the ground behind Kaya, hobbling off to tend to it's now-injured leg.
"Weird Pokemon." Kaya noted.

It wasn't known how long Amaranth and Breeze had fled for, only stopping when they felt like nothing was following them. The Meinfoo that had been agitated with their presence either seemed to give up the chase, or decided that they hadn't been a threat after all and went back to its business. They'd both let out a sigh of relief, to say nothing about Cera way up in the sky doing similar out of relief.
Their collective relief, however, would be short-lived as something tapped Amaranth's thigh. She'd turn and look down to see a Farfetch'd with a determined glare. While it didn't seem to be hostile or anything, it did appear to want a fight. It wasn't long before its glance shifted towards Breeze, making a sharp cry to announce its desire to challenge the Togekiss to a round of combat.
Amaranth, however, wouldn't have any idea of what was being said. Her "new" form meant that outside of getting the context right or using a SNAG to translate, she wasn't going to be understanding any Pokemon natively. She took a confused step back as Breeze gave an equally confused chirp, both for different reasons. They'd only be met by the Farfetch'd pointing its leek outward, giving the same sharp cry from before and trying to make its desire clear. Clear for Breeze, anyway.
The Togekiss would look over expectantly, eventually realizing that maybe talking in confidence was out of the question. It was still a bit of a culture shock. The most she would get was a slight nod from Amaranth. Whatever this Farfetch'd wanted, it seemed like it would be worthwhile. Perhaps a bit of intuition or something, that or craziness. After what seemed like an eternity, Breeze would finally move forward as she and the Farfetch'd stared each other down.
Her nor Amaranth would get a chance to react or make the first move, however, as Farfetch'd moved in a flash and landed a Slash on one of Breeze's wings. A loud, pained cry came from the sudden attack, already making Amaranth a bit worried.
"Breeze!" She called without thinking, only to see the attack be shaken off after a bit. A sigh of relief came, though if she was going to give Breeze more of a reason to trust her, it'd be now. "If you're okay, hit it with an Air Slash!"
Though the Togekiss would comply and released the slicing gale at once, Farfetch'd would dodge it with ease. Then, it'd speak up, looking to Breeze all the while. It seemed confused, asking the Togekiss why she'd follow orders instead of siding with her honor and fight on her own. Amaranth would just stand there, confused as the two conversed.
She'd watch as Breeze lowered onto the ground, chirping furiously to say exactly why she would: If not because she was used to acting in tandem with someone else in battle, then because she wanted to trust the trainer with her. Even if she could make the decisions herself and do fine, there was something different when you had to trust someone else to make the right call. It all seemed to fly over the bird's head, who instead decided to tap Breeze with its leek to express how stupid that all sounded.
"Are you two going to fight, or...?" Amaranth asked, trying to figure out what they were squabbling about. The two immediately stopped talking, looked at each other, then looked at Amaranth, and returned to their sides. This whole "battle" seemed weird, though it finally went back to trading blows when Breeze conjured and flicked an Aura Sphere while the Farfetch'd had its back turned.
This prompted it to spring up at once, glaring and resisting the urge to call its opponent a disgrace. Instead, chi would collect around the tip of the leek in its wing, rushing and stabbing the Togekiss with a Poison Jab. Despite how blunt the leek looked, it'd cut like a sharpened blade and do quite a bit of damage for it. The poison didn't help matters at all, though it didn't seem to be enough of a dose to cause problems yet. Farfetch'd would go to move back after its attack, but it'd soon learn that its opponent had other plans.
Breeze was fairly upset with this bird by now, and with the leek slightly digging in, she'd start ascending and keep doing so for a bit, rapidly gaining speed before going into a loop. She'd keep doing this several times, the Extreme Speed attack subjecting Farfetch'd to a whole lot of sudden aerial shenanigans before it and its leek would end up flying off from the flight's force. A scream of sorts could be heard as Farfetch'd flew through the air with all the grace of a Snorlax's belly flop as it slammed into one of the trees within the meadow. It'd soon be joined by the leek smacking it in the head before finally sliding down, eventually getting back to its feet.
"Was that necessary?" Amaranth asked, trying not to have a laugh at how comical the end results appeared despite feeling a bit sorry for how much that had to have hurt. Breeze would give an agitated chirp. Yes, it was totally necessary and very, very much worth it. At least, until Farfetch'd took to the skies and swooped down with all the force it could muster, striking Breeze as it came through with Brave Bird. It'd land shortly after, faltering in its landing and barely able to stand. The feelings would be mutual, as Breeze would soon drop to the ground again. Both were heavily weakened, and by this point, it was unlikely either one would be able to keep fighting.
Despite this, they'd both look at each other, both panting and trying to work up enough strength to do something before Amaranth walked over. "Enough! Both of you," she remarked, finding the whole thing going from confusing to amusing to almost a little sad in extremely short order. "Breeze, you did your best. Just rest, okay?" She'd recall her Togekiss and start walking away, only to be stopped when Farfetch'd threw its leek to hit her leg.
She'd turn around in time to hear a sharp cry, moving closer. First to grab its leek, and then to look up. Perhaps it felt the two were worthy and wanted to come along? Or maybe it wanted to fight Breeze again later. Either way, it'd manage to smack a Safari Ball out of Amaranth's pocket with a light Knock Off, prompting her to pick it back up in confusion. Realizing what it must've wanted, though, she'd chuck the ball and hoped that she wouldn't regret the decision.

The ball's immediate success practically caught her off guard, half expecting it to just open or something. Instead, it just sat there after making its telltale click. No fight or anything. "This Pokemon is weird..." She'd comment to herself, kneeling down to pick the Safari Ball up and making sure to keep to relative safety while things began to wrap up.
Up in the skies, Cera would have her head in her hands, sighing. "Great, another nuisance in her party of misfits... kinda realizing why I don't usually come along," she'd remark before starting to take her leave, feeling that maybe she should try and contact Sol after all. Amaranth seemed to be holding up fine, but things still weren't making a ton of sense to her. Plus it meant time not spent listening to Breeze go on about being the only sane one.

It had been hours since he had last seen anything resembling a Pokemon. He was beginning to doubt that a Delibird actually existed within the bounds of the arena. Even this supposed narrowing of the field offered no perceptible difference from his previous efforts to track down anything resembling a Delibird. But then he saw a flash of red and white dash through the brush. His prize awaited! Popping open a Pokeball and feeling a set of talons hook around his shoulders, Beau would point dramatically towards the fleeing form of the Delibird. "Tally ho!" The Vivillon hybrid cried out as the pair took off into the air and spotted the fleeing Delibird.
Taking off in pursuit, the pair would begin to pursue the Delibird, ducking and weaving around the trees as they dove towards their chosen prey quickly. Releasing himself from his Fletchinderès grasp, Beau would dive headlong towards the Delibird and slam into the bird Pokemon before it began to blur. And in the time it took Beau to roll across the ground and put whatever he had grabbed in front of his face, Beau would find his Delibird had become a Zorua. Staring at his prey as his Fletchinder soared overhead, Beau would blink a few times before hurling the Zorua into the air. "Damn you Zorua! You are tearing me apart, furball! You made think you were a Delibird and you betrayed me!" Beau melodramatically cried out to the sky, watching as the Zorua began to fall back towards him. Well, before Red Baron slammed into it with a Steel Wing that sent the Zorua sprawling.
Walking over to where the Zorua landed, Beau would stare at the Pokemon for a moment before it leaped up suddenly and began to scratch at his face. Hell of a feint, Zorua. Also, oh god my eyes. Beau would eventually separate the small fox from his face with a small whimper before staring at the Zorua. "Alright. You get one chance. Come quietly or this gets serious."
The response he received was a point blank Night Daze that blew Beau off of his feet and sent the swooping Fletchinder sprawling with the shockwave. Slowly getting up to glare at the Zorua that was quietly scampering away, Beau would snap his fingers and point at the Zorua. A quick Ember would fly across the field and slam into the Zorua's behind and offer Beau the chance he needed to throw a Safari Ball for the trickster.

Kaya caught sight of it first this time but when he saw a Swablu fluttering by, he signalled to Tomoe. "Let's go, girl!" He encouraged her, pointing out the avian Pokemon overhead. Tomoe nodded and fired off a Fairy Wind, blowing the Flying-type off it's lazy course and sending it tumbling toward the ground.
Swablu tumbled down low before it caught itself, spreading it's cottony wings and spraying downy feathers all around with Cotton Spore.
"Not so fast. Misty Terrain!" Kaya called out, covering his mouth to protect himself from the feather-like spores. Tomoe nodded and spewed a pink mist out from her maypop, covering the ground in the area. "Follow up with Petal Blizzard!"
Swablu saw the attack coming and puffed up it's wings, wrapping itself in it's cottony down , leaving only it's face exposed. After the swirling blizzard of flower petals ended, many of them still hanging in the air, it's cotton-like wings exploded in a show of glowing feathers via Feather Dance.
With spores, feathers and petals all around, Kaya almost felt like he was lost in a realm of fairies and magic. But then again, he was mid battle and lots of battles felt that way at times. "Fairy Wind!" He called out at last. The tiny fairy nodded and conjured a sparkling pink wind to buffet the bird parallel to it.
Swablu wobbled in the air for a moment, crying out with a disarmingly cute and pained voice.
Tomoe pouted at the sound, not really wanting to hurt Swablu. "It's okay, Tomoe. It's over." Kaya said, grabbing a Moon Ball from his backpack and throwing it while Swablu was feigning it's pain.
