“And where exactly do you have in mind?” Richard asked, an amused undertone in his voice. He wasn’t sure if he would actually take the teen up on said offer but he was curious if he had any place in particular in mind. Maybe he would decide based on what kind of answer Kit was to give.

“Anywhere you want, sweetheart,” Kit answered smoothly, “but if I had a preference, I’d offer to show you around my apartment. Good place to unwind. Maybe you can bring along your guitar to replace those strings and play me a tune or two.” He smirked. “We might have to pick up dinner first, though. All I’ve got are microwavable meals and some fruit juice.”

Oh yes, the kid had obviously done this before. Richard bit back a smile at the ‘sweetheart’, amused that the kid had no problems using it like it was an everyday term. He took a moment to think about the offer then gave a shrug. “Eh, sure why not. I even have my guitar in my truck so that would work out there.” He said with a smirk. He hadn’t had a one night stand since he had joined the Negaverse a few months ago so why not. As least Kit hadn’t said they should use his place, he would have said no to that since the kid had already implied he was fine with stalking.

“Oh, good. Then we don’t need to make any side trips,” Kit chuckled. “I really need to find out what you have stuck up your a** because whatever it is has been keeping you from giving so much as a proper smile all this time and my curiosity is killing me.” He urged Richard on with the arm about his shoulders, attempting to lead him out of the mall in the direction of his place if he would allow him to do so. “Maybe I can get you to let loose.”

Richard gave a chuckle and a smirk to the teen rather than the smile that his first reaction would have been, just to mess with Kit. “Maybe you just haven’t tried hard enough yet to get a proper one.” He said teasingly. He did end up allowing Kit to lead him out of the mall, letting the kid do as he will for now. “So do we need to meet up at your place or did you walk and we need to take my truck?”

“Yeah? Well maybe trying harder would constitute doing things that would be considered scandalous in the public eye,” he replied. “Hence my apartment.” The teen turned to look at Richard. “I walked. But alright, ‘old man’...if you need to save your energy for later on, I understand. We can take your truck.”

“Oh, so now you are worried about that?” Richard teased more than asked. “Sure if that’s what you want to believe ‘kid’. I’m pretty sure this ‘old man’ will end up showing you a things or two.” He said then started to steer the teen off to where his truck was parked. He had no plans on doing a ‘walk of shame’ back to the mall to get his truck later.

“Well, if you really think there’s anything you can teach me, I’m all for learning,” Kit purred. He obediently followed where the other man led, his mind already churning with the influx of possibilities.
