Rilind Post 2

Rilind turned to look over at Yaholo as the man wrapped an arm around him, something that caused him to give a bit of a smile and then a slight shrug, "We need to do what is right for our family, to keep them safe, I will support you with that. Here's to hoping that your 'sisters' don't come here though. I'd rather we didn't have to get into a tussle with them, especially around the boys." He said the words in a hushed tone of voice, so that they wouldn't over hear him. The last thing he wanted was to worry them over what might not even come to pass.

Leaning into Yaholo he looked toward the boys who were all gathering up around Samoset now. He was glad that he was there since he had a calming effect on the boys. Not to mention the little one he'd brought along with him seemed to be a rather bright and shiny distraction for them as well. It was just a shame that they didn't know exactly where Kennet was exactly. They knew he was in Sauti, but that was sort of the last place he should be at the moment. The twins weren't Rilind's kids, they were Yaholo's kids through and through, but that didn't mean that he didn't worry about them.

Given what was going on around them he felt he should probably be acting tougher. Heck, he should be out patrolling to make sure nothing dangerous was thinking about sneaking up on them, and yet there he was snuggled up against Yaholo. Well, if things started to get worse then just the nearby people discussing options then he'd go about his normal routines, for nwo that it should be alright with him right where he was.

Lixes Post 2

Lixes glanced over at his parents, to his brothers, then lastly to Nim, wondering about what the boys said. He wanted to just 'stay with Aisha'. He wasn't really sure what that meant himself since he hadn't really been around Aisha since he had been born. He heard about her from his Daddy, but she was sort of a far off force that he didn't really feel he would ever meet personally. She seemed to be something for Alkidikes to meet with and since he was more Earthling then anything he probably wouldn't be allowed. Permission seemed to be important from what he gathered.

Ah well, that wasn't as important to him as looking after his brothers anyway, though he hoped that Nim would be able to visit with her since it seemed important to him then it was Lixes. He found himself completely distracted though when there was mention of story time. Wait, no! If they weren't going to get naps, or at least Inali and Drexl weren't, then they shoudl do something more fun! He shook his head, "No! No stories, you should play with us Samoset!" He said, hopping up so that he could hang off of his big brother in a manenr he did with his Daddy all the time, "Let's wrestle! It can be all four of us against you since you're bigger!"

Lasarra - Post Two
She cuddled into him. He was right, they had to have a back up plan just in case the elders wouldn't be able to convince the other sisters not to go and take away lands. Part of her wished she was there with the others, giving her own reasons why they should stay where they were. It wasn't likely they would listen to a hybrid like her, but she wished she was at least there to try.

"You are right... I wonder what the sisters that don't agree with leaving will do..." would they fight alongside the earthlings, or would they just go with the flow. She wasn't sure which was worse. "You know I will go where you go."

Rayolun post 2

Rayolun shook his head. "I would hope that they'd try and stop their more aggressive sisters.. but considering how may want to take Juahur away from us I don't know.. Maybe they'll figure that with some in Suati, they can split our attentions and take Juahur easier?" That's what he'd do, a pincer move to capture his prey.... not that he wanted it to happen! In fact he'd prefer if the Alkidikes backed off and lived happily with the lands they'd already taken from his people. But he doubted it would happen. Not when they were such a warrior race who seemed to think the land was meant for them. Silly people.

Niadra - Post Two
She frowned. She had hoped that the hybrid would say otherwise. That talking would work. She had heard that the Alkidikes were fighters more then talkers, but she had never had a negative experience with one herself.

When her question was tuned towards her she just shrugged. "I've seen the most intense arguments be soothed with words, and I've seen little problems result in injuries. You can never be sure which will be more effective. Though I do hope that talking helps. I'm not much of a fighter."

Chandra post 2

The poke in the cheek was hardly something he cared for, as it seemed like a childish gesture. He rolled his eyes as he pushed his brothers hand away in an annoyed manner.

"Hardly, if we were suddenly attacked you'd be too busy containing your herd to bother with anyone else." Chandra stated irritated that his brother still treated him like some hapless babe. The temptation to give his brother a mild shock was there but he refrained.

"Besides I can look after myself, I don't need you to worry about me. You should be more concerned with your own wellfare." The twin brother continued idly listening to the murmuring crowd trying to pick out bits of conversation to see where this gathering was headed.

Gerraden Post 2

Giving Rishima a reassuring squeeze hug he wanted to drag him away for more pleasant things. Now that they had their feelings for each other clarified his day dreams didn't have to be day dreams any longer, but then...well their 'sisters' had planned on taking over Jahaur and Sauti. Sighing he wished that he could just make everyone stop fighting, the peace they had only just regained seemed like something so fragile and perhaps that was the problem. Peace treaties never lasted long.

Looking at Rishima as he spoke about the mystic Aselia and how she was the one leading this assault made him frown. After all it wasn't Rishima's fault she grew up with this mind set.

Playing with some of the dreads on Rishima's head he leaned towards him,
"I doubt anyone would be blaming you, it would be like blaming a storm for destroying some ones house. You did the right thing, everyone is entitled to live but you don't have any control over that person when they grow up." Nuzzling Rishima he went back to observing the crowd around them. Some people were looking at them in suspicion like they may be spies though it was absurb to think such things.

After all it was the sisters who believed in tradition, in pure bloods who were causing the problem not hybrids. It did irritate him a little some of the stares but he only gave them a toothy grin until they were too uncomfortable to keep looking in his direction.

Nkole post 2

Nkole squeezed her hand again, honestly he could find the right words to say that her mother would be okay. Her mother was a pure alkidike, and having no idea about this current situation he didn't know if these traditionalists would demand assistants from all their kind. Would Maya stand against them? He would think so, since her own daughter was a mix breed herself and seeing how she treated him...he highly doubted she would be 'forced' into anything she didn't want to do.

"Your...mother is a strong woman, I doubt she is the only one who thinks hybrids are more then acceptable..." He began trying to figure out what else to say, though he gave her a questioning look when she suggested the find the 'others'. Just whom was she speaking of?

"Ah..others?" He inquired having a sinking feeling it would be those two brothers again.

Nimueh: Post 2

Suddenly there was someone behind him - causing Nimueh to jump and let out a yelp before he quite realized that it was just one of his 'uncles'. How they were different from his mama's sisters, his aunts, he didn't know - besides not being full blooded Alkidike, of course. They were also hybrids, like himself - which was so STRANGE, all things considered, being around so many at once !

After a moment, Nimueh pouted, turning his eyes to his papa at the offer of a story. It was tempting - very tempting, but he shook his head and stood up, tugging away from Drexl and stamping his foot. "N-no! Stories are for babies -- they're talking about my mom!! I wanna listen!" He cast a look at Inali, almost by way of apology - since the story had been his idea, but he felt annoyed that everyone was treating him like a baby an trying to make him forget about everyone talking about home!

By mom, of course, he meant Elsheba, not Aisha. And yet - as worried as he was, in the way a worry-wort of a child like Nimueh could be without really understanding what was going on, the offer of playtime (stories had always made him feel restless) finally made him relax, peeking at his papa almost hopefully. Although -- he didn't look in the mood to play. Not in a very 'no, leave me alone Nim, maybe later' way that his mom usually was - Samoset looked like he'd play if they wanted him to, but Nim could also tell that his papa had adulty things he wanted to do. So, instead, he bit his lip then suddenly turned and instead bapped Lixes on the shoulder. "Tag!! Now you have to catch me!" He called out, then turned and pattered past Drexl and Samoset. Tag was a silly game, especially high up in the tree- he hoped that maybe they'd be allowed to go down out of the tree to play, and they could get away from the big crowd too ? He felt braver with his uncles - though that was probably because they weren't full blooded, and so he didn't feel so out of place next to them.

Drexl Post 2

The child was a little off put by his nephew moving away from him, so instead he walked over to Inali and clung to him. Looking over to his father's he smiled brightly. He liked seeing them close like that. It reminded him that his family was alright. That they would remain together, so long as his Father's were side by side the child was assured that his family would be just fine. Looking back to his siblings as Nim tagged Lixes he blinked. Uh oh...Lixes never lost a game of Tag. This...this was about to get fun.

"Can we?" he looked up to his parents.

Issaly Post 1

What was all the commotion about, the small prentience wondered as he walked alongside his brother. Therus sat on the shifter's shoulder chattering away as they weaved through the crowd. Issaly chuckled, barely understanding the small sprite but he did reach up to run small fingers gently along the tiny thing. The chatter stopped at the sprite nuzzled the touch. Issaly looked around as he shifted his small cloak closer around himself. He looked to his elder brother.

Isaris Post 1

Isaris was on edge, Issaly had gotten distant. He felt it. The younger shifter was spending more time with his new found friend in the sprite than asking for the same stories of their brothers. He glanced worried down at the other male. Locking eyes before Issaly looked away with a small dismissive huff. Isaris worried that perhaps Issaly knew about his lie when he was a youngling. That was impossible unless Issaly found a hole in his story. He thought it over...and decided that he had to be on guard from now on. It hurt him, but he knew Issaly wouldn't react well if he found out he was lied to. Isaris sighed...

Licking her lips Antiope felt the nervous energy of the crowd beginning to ramp up. People were shouting their thoughts left and right. Some conversations would end up being shouting matches between specific people and not directed to the leaders at all.

As it was now however it seemed everyone was split. Many wanted to stop the Alkidikes from pressing into Sauti, which would mean they would have to stop them from advancing past Jahaur and Tale. There were also many who didn't wish to fight, it was hopeful for her as she wanted to speak with the leaders of the amazon women get them to see reason, peace could be reached she was sure of it. Watching Enki however it seemed he wasn't about to just let the alkidikes do as they please.

Raising his hands to get the attention of the crowd he wanted to get direct opinions from the people, not this mash up of conflicting voices.

"I am hearing many who are against the idea of engaging with the alkidikes, though there are many passionate people here who don't want them to advance any further into our lands. If we are to act as a blockade this could mean a potential war...."

"IF we cannot reason with their leaders."
Antiope quickly jumped in seeing how people were already brandishing weapons as if looking forward to a blood bath.

Seriously Enki...she tossed him a look that told him that peace was the best methods.

The look Enki returned to Antiope was of annoyance, okay so perhaps he wasn't about to include peace talks but he wasn't about to state they should all throw themselves at the Alkidikes. Licking his lips he nodded his head slowly, he couldn't divide their people now and show how Antiope was irritating the heck out of him.

"Yes... if we cannot reason with the alkidikes we should be prepared to fight." Enki was more careful of his wording this time, war was so final..and brutal.

Painted Moose

Talisia 2

"I guess it's the one thing this world shares." No matter where she traveled war would find a way inside the borders. The hybrid let out a soft sigh. What would happen to those who shared blood with the enemies as well? No one could chose what heritage they were born too after all. Still she worried that others would suffer because of a war that they wanted no part in. What about the poor hybrids in the area? Already outcasts in their own ways a war against half of their blood would only result in more tensions for their existence in Jauhar. For once she was thankful that besides being half shifter that she was also just part of Zena and no where else. If Zena and Jauhar fought in the future what would she ever do then? Let's just pray that day never happens.

At the words from Enki the hybrid murmured towards Dris, "Looks like they agree with that statement." She bit her lip thoughtfully. Surely reason would work right? Did the Alkidikes really believe that conquering someone else's home was their destiny?

Any god or being that wanted such destruction held no love from her.

AMINAH POST 3

Aminah ran her fingers through Jerami's hair now, soothing herself with the touch of her children. She nodded her head and smiled to them both, their innocence to war was lovely, and what she wanted to keep with them. Let them never find out what it was like to be put to battle. To have to have those you love or those you know be hurt. "I think you're right, Jerami."

Her sister's familiar face parted through the crowd and Aminah lit up. "Sathe! You're here. So you've heard the news then? About the Alkidike?"

JHANA POST 3

Jhana made a face to her brother. "Almost no one looks happy now. Everyone's talking so fast, all the growed up for sure." She tugged on her Mama's shirt. "Mama, are they upset because they want to go to Sauti, too? Were they not allowed to go?"

She moved her hands from her hair then to play with the ends of Jerami's dress.

SATHE POST 3

Sathe nodded her head, though her face was rather grim. "I've heard. It doesn't sound good. And it seems like everyone's gearing up to help fight them off. Antiope talks of peace, of speaking to the elders, but I don't know how that will possibly solve this."

She scooted to sit on the bench with her sister. "I'm hoping that they don't go through with it. That the Alkidike are just a bunch of talk, maybe angry with the last war or something." She shook her head and rubbed her temples. "What do you think?" She added. "If it came down to it, I would help."

Nyiim- post 2

All of the breath left Nyiim in a huff. War. The word almost hurt his ears. He had spilled his own blood fighting the Obans, and to have it all begin again with a different foe? It was so soon. Alkidike had banded together with the other races to defeat the invading threat, and now they had become it. Maybe there were so few of them that a 'battle' was a bit of an overstatement. Maybe they would fail without struggle. Then again, if they were to fight one Alkidike, would the rest consider it an attack on the race itself? Nyiim frowned deeply and straightened his back. Whatever had to be done, he would do it. He just hoped it wasn't all-out war.

Vukasin- post 2

Oh my. War? He'd heard of the war with the Obans and how terrible it had been, and now Tendaji was preparing to lunge into action again. Why was violence the only way for so many people? Of course if the Alkidike didn't respond well to peace talks then they would all have to do what needed to be done to protect Sauti from another invasion, but what was he going to do? He wasn't trained in any weapon, he didn't truly know the finer points of battle. Would he just be in the way?

"The Alkidike are not well known for their appeals to reason... he murmured, more to himself then to anyone else.

TAU POST 3

Tau laughed out at his daughter's answer. "See? She has the idea." He joked to Liira. He bounced little Tynn on his shoulders before turning around. Even though there was serious talk going on there had to be some stalls still open at the festival. "I'm starving. And this group's not going anywhere anytime soon. Let's eat."

He stalked off in the direction of the vendors, determined to not ruin his daughter's first festival with this talk of war. How lame was that?

LIIRA POST 3

Liira sighed. There was just no getting through to him. Though she had to laugh at her daughter's naivety. She was the most adorable thing she had ever made, and probably the only earthling Liira could stand all the time.

Tau turned toward the food stalls and Liira huffed. "We can't just leave the discussion. What happens if we miss something? If they decide our village will become a war zone? What then?" But he was already stalking off and with longer legs than Liira could keep up. It looked like the only thing she could do was follow suit.

TYYN POST 3

Tyyn clapped her hands and agreed. "Hungry! Food! Yummy food!" Her daddy started to walk off and the bounce in his step had her feeling like she was riding a scorra she was so high up and so fast. But even bigger than a scorra. Daddy's scorra was not even close to as tall as him.

"Mommy can I have sweets for desert?" Her eyes got big as she totally and completely forgot about the group behind her.
