He landed and lashed out with the bladed axe head, clearing a spot for him to actually swing his halberd. For he was okay with close quarters, but he excelled at reach. The shadowlings however, where hard to hit, whisping out of the way and diving him mad as they dodged his attacks. He swore they were laughing at him! He growled, his single remaining eye narrowing with anger as he charged.

"Ah! You can't be that sneaky to a lady!" She yelled at the winged shadowling planned to attack from her back when she was busily clearing those in front of her. It left wounds on her shoulder but she shortly put the chakrams together to push it back and swiftly turned around to further attack with a spring on her left leg.

This was going to be interesting. Na'ima tightly grasped the handles of her two chakram while hanging in the back waiting for her chance to strike. It wasn't long before a shadowy creature came too close. She adjusted her grip on the chakram and flicked her wrist, throwing the blade at the creature like a disc. It embedded itself into the creature's back, causing it to shriek with displeasure and rip it out, throwing it right back at her. She caught it with her arm, hissing and looking down briefly at the new cut before picking her weapon up again.

A large shadowy creature came leaping at him from the front. He crouched down briefly before thrusting his sword upwards to try and catch the creature onto his blade.

It slashed at her and she ducked, wincing when a claw managed to scratch her forehead. Ignore it, ignore it. She jumped up, spinning from one foot to the other to get around the shadowy creature while slashing it twice with her chakrams. The bleeding scratch on her forehead was wiped with her arm, though it only served to smear the blood around and not actually stop the bleeding at all; she was grateful for her dark skin in that moment. She didn't have time to distract herself with anything, she needed to keep fighting.

Getting up off her knee, a foot raised and slammed against the creature's side, sending it to the ground. She pinned it down with her foot, her heel digging sharply into its chest as she threw all her weight down to decapitate the shadowy monster.
Something else came up and slashed at her arm in retaliation. "Damnit..!"

It latched onto her arm with surprisingly sharp teeth. How did a shadow have teeth? Especially sharp ones? With a growl she threw her free arm out and over, ripping the blade of her chakram through the monster's neck and shaking off its head. "Disgusting."

Chel followed Morgan to the courtyard and what opened before her was carnage. Bodies cut and mangled under writhing shadows that threatened to push their way past the army and into the castle.
She intended to not give them that chance.
Her swordstaff was pulled off her back and Chel held it out, poised to kill. She wouldn't let them get past.
