Liryn swiped out at the youma once again and once again felt his claws hit shell.

Despite parts of it flaking and plenty of evidence of much scratchings, attacking the shell was hard going...

And whilst Liryn had considered the kitty beam for all of the moments it had taken to launch himself at the youma, he had also discounted it - at least for now - because whilst the kitty beam was perhaps the strongest thing he had to give - it was also something of a two-edged blade and one which took its toll in energy.

The kitty beam, he decided, would be kept in reserve for now - because if he opted to use it then he'd have to make sure to make it count.

[Liryn hits for 3 damage]

Snowball had jumped just before it started hacking hairballs. . . . and hitting the light. However, when the light shattered Snowball caught some of the shards in his back giving out a hiss of pain the cat tried his best to land somewhere on his feet and not in youma spittle.

He turned to see some red staining his back and the cat groaned. He was going to be in so much trouble for that he was sure of it. . . . He was getting tired of the beast and decided that since they were wearing it down fairly decently it was time for a change in attack plan maybe. . .

His landing was a little clumsy but he managed well enough and moved to try and find a spot where he could have a clear shot, which happened to be on one of the computer banks. Hopefully this wouldn't cause the monster to come towards them and with his stance placed firm he fired his forehead lazer. Of course, this was going to leave him a bit wiped out.

A change in game plan was in order Liryn decided after his last attempted swipe once again hit shell.

The rather obvious one would be to go for the kitty beam - and in fact it seemed that one of his fellow mauvians had already resorted to using their beam - but the fact that he would also effectively be left pretty wiped out and not for much held him back slightly.

Biting was another option, although Liryn wasn't sure that he wanted to go that route either given the youma's demonstration of it's toxic, smelly, floor-eating spit and whilst he was slowly chipping away at the youma - in fact they all were chipping away at the youma - it was still persistently hanging on.

With biting and the kitty beam both out for the moment, that left either going high or seeing if they could find something to push over at the youma - although given that most of them, himself included, were limited to paws then perhaps that last was a little too ambitious.

Which left trying to go high, a nearby counter acting as a handy height booster slash running platform as he used it as a way to try and launch himself upwards and at the youma, hoping to have his claws dig into something a little more yielding than the thing's shell.

The Mauvian Senshi's face twisted into a disgusted expression, tongue sticking out in distaste at the youma's little display. It smelled revolting, and even worse, the ooze that came out seemed to dissolve the nearby objects.

Her fellow Mauvians didn't really have the advantage of larger figures or opposable thumbs. It was as she glanced to the side to the other feline that had joined her in the humanoid form that she considered what had to be done.

"ASH!!!" she called out in an effort to get her attention. "We NEED to get the devices out of the vicinity!!! Hurry, grab all that you can so we can move them!!"

Knowing the other Mauvian, Sailor H was pretty certain that she didn't want to see her work liquified.

Before the Mauvian senshi set to work, she chucked the last blue glowing ball of energy from her hand towards the centipede beast.

Sheena grinned, actually having fun, youma destroying headquarters aside and getting knocked away after delivering some nasty scratches. She felt invigorated and she knew that they could take it down. She back up and ran forward towards the thing as fast and as hard as she could, she fully intended to head butt it.

She hoped she would do more damage to it, than to herself. "Coming through, "she shouted launching herself at it.

Ash jumped as she heard ********* calling her name, scrambling towards the littered pieces of electronics. She scooped them up and they disappeared as she went, collecting in her subspace pocket where they'd be safe.

"I've got them!" She called back before she grabbed another large chunk of stone and lobbed it at the youma beast. They were making headway, but it was not out yet.

Gathering herself as she scrambled backwards, the cat-turned-girl grabbed her visor on either side and braced herself, a light growing in the center of her forehead. It burst from her in a beam of light aimed for their enemy.

Attacking for 3 + Kitty beam for 5 = total 8

Liryn could hear someone call out something to Ash about the devices and heard Ash's voice call out in return.

His focus however was very much on the youma and in doing his part to get rid of it.

For his next tactic he decided to use the counter that he'd used earlier as a springpad.

It was time to use the kitty beam.

He aimed, feeling energy gather in his forehead star and sent the beam winging at the youma.

Liryn is using his forehead beam and hits for 10 damage

Carmen had pulled back for a bit to get a better glimpse of the battle, but now that the thing was puking up apparently corrosive stuff, action needed to be taken. She wasn't quite sure how she knew how to do this, but she focused her energy carefully, and out shot a beam from the star on her forehead, the force of which nearly stunned her.

It seemed to do a good number on the beast, putting a decent dent in its shell, but Carmen couldn't really rejoice at her successful blow, as she now felt incredibly woozy. She didn't know that could happen, but she considered her lesson learned as she sat down to regain her bearings.

Carmen uses her kitty beam and hits for 15 damage!

Fighting a youma was in no regards how he wanted to spend his evening. In fact, he didn't FIGHT youma at all. His tactic was that being far away from one as the best and only option. The fact they had to attack left him nervous, stressed, and his heart racing. But with unmeasurable surprise, the youma was defeated. DEFEATED! BY CATS!!!

When the dust settled, Arthur coughed and shook his body free of a layer of dust before sitting down. Taking a paw to his chest, he looked up. "I feel numb. This is it. I'm having a heart attack. Elenaor, I'm coming to you." He looked up, sure that his left side was going numb and Did he taste copper?

But after a while, nothing happened and when he found he would be living for yet another day, his eyes looked about before settling on the kitten that had jumped in the hole in the first place. Ears back, his tail puffed still from fear, and throat raw from dirt, he got up on all four paws and headed over straight to the kitten from before.

"YOU! Have you ANY idea what danger you were in by just jumping into random holes?! Did your mother ever tell you that's an INSANE and dangerous thing to do?!! HMMM!! What if that had been a sewer drain? You could have been swept up into some pipes and drown. Or some pit where rats live that could have nibbled off your tail! Or the heavens know what else! You are NOT a tribute, and what a small tribute you would have been fi you were. You're life has been too short to throw away on random openings in walls! My heavens, do you children even think for two seconds before jumping head first!"

He bristled before looking down at the kitten.

Snowball's tail twitched waiting for the youma to do something before it busted to dust. The cat coughed a little before catching a curious potion. His head tilted and looked at it then looking towards the other two that also got a weird potion. "Well, this is interesting. I'm glad he didn't cough up more acid. . . . "

There was a pause before, "Everyone okay!?" He paid little attention to the lecture being given to the poor kitten. Soon he was looking around the command center. There was a lot that needed to be rebuilt. "Well, damn. We've got a lot of work to do." The hole that the youma busted out of it seemed had been covered by Rubble and likely too dangerous to explore further for the time being.

There was also the matter of finishing the communicators. "So uh.... We've actually have gained a few new things on our list of to dos it seems. Fix the command center and finish the communicators. . . eventually clear that and see what else lurks in the dark, might be better when a few more of us can do the two legged thing . . . ." He looked at Ash before glancing at everyone else, "And of course uh . . . we can figure out how the youma got in, in the first place a bit . . . uh later right?"

It was their great fortune that the many cats present were so resourceful and brave, taking on the monster and dispatching it in short order. As the thing dusted, Ash sank down to plop on her backside, her knees together and feet splayed by her hips. She clutched tech bits to her small chest with a petulant expression, a line between her brows as she glared around at all the other cats.

"That was horrible!" She declared, her tail puffed out and swinging behind her. "And now this place is a mess... and we've not even started on the communicators."

Ash huffed and grumbled as she set the pieces down, spreading them out again. Her motions jerky with left over adrenaline, she hastily assembled a headset and set it to the side, sans custom cover.

"HERE. Make your own if you want, or just come get one of these and finish it. I am so not cut out to be a teacher..." The cat-girl grumbled as she flew through assembling a handful of communicators the way she had been trying to show the group how to do.

She was so DONE with this. She had dust in her fur, she was tired and hungry and she wanted nothing more than to go find one of her senshi and get doted on for the rest of the night.

Snowball's brows knitted as he moved over towards Ash. "Oh come on, that could've been worse. He could've gotten the computers." The ragamuffin pointed out as he sat down watching her finish communicators without the customized cover.



His tail flicked as he rooted in a pile of random soft plastic covers, looked at it and inspected it. "Okay guys soo uh.... easiest part? Picking out a cover for your com. You can totally change it, should work with most human ones even if it you have to adjust the shaping a little bit to fit... and well change the colors in general. . . . "

The one he grabbed had a snowflake on it. He popped it on the com and showed them with a grin.



"There's all kinds." He added pausing. "Some of them might've gotten a little damaged but you can see what sort of stuff works at least."

After a few moments he nodded, "Yeah that's all I got. Any questions you guys can hit me up or . . . maybe Ash won't mind questions laterrrrr?" He rolled his shoulders in a kitty shrug. "As long as everyone has a device before you leave we're good I think."
