Welcome to The Rift Door - Youma Battle Guide! Here is all the information you will need for winning and collecting potions, status effects, knowing your HP and attack limits and all other bits of information for when you get the chance to battle one of the Youma from the Rift Door in these staff run events!

Please read all information provided. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact Matisha or the Destiny City mule.

Red Potion = Health

The health potion can give you back 5HP.


Green Potion = Revival

On passing out this potion will bring you back to the fight with half of your HP


Orange Potion = Speed

User ImageYour speed is increased, depending on certain attacks you can automatically dodge them! Last 2 rounds.


Blue Potion = Defense

User Image Your defense is increased, you can deduct 2 hit points from any attack. i.e A Slash attacks takes off 5 hit points but you would only receive 3HP damage if you have cast defense. Last 2 rounds.


Yellow Potion = Strength

User ImageYour strength is increased. All attacks will increase by 5 points.


Mystery Upgrades

It has been said that gathering 3 of the same potion can result in an upgrade! Try to collect as many as you can and see what happens!

RP Guide

1) These potions can be drank or if you so wish, you can go for the old "smash and splash" method! As long as you get the potion on/in your character one way or another it will work!! If you RP it rolling away from you, well then, that's just silly of you...


Guide

1) These potions can only be used in events run by the staff mule. They can not be used within every day RP's done by players. If you happen to drink them outside of an event then you have just wasted a potion! If you do that you must post in this thread that you have used it up!

2) Potions can be won through mini games held in the thread and also found throughout RP's (battle & reg, not solo) if you have marked the title with a * and also if you can quote the DestingCity mule to allow a staff mule to drop on by and run a mini finding event in your rp.

3) If you find a potion during a RP you must complete that RP before claiming the potion in this thread! Acceptations can be made on this under extreme circumstances but the bottom line is all RP's must be completed before posting for a claim!

4) To be able to keep track of all the potions being won and used you have to post in this thread. If you dont post in this thread and then proceed to use the potion it will not be counted and the effects will not happen. So remember to fill out the form below!

5) You can swap potions between friends if you wish but that must be done though this thread using the correct form. Not only does the player who found it has to post the change but the person accepting it also has to fill in a form quoting the other players post. (Almost sounds like too much work to swap!) For an example see below.

6) Remember you can only ask for a mule to stop by if its apart of a battle RP with another player (or more) or a regular RP (again with another player) Solo RP's do not count, although you can RP out a solo about finding the potion and trying to work out what it is, thats fine!

To be able to upgrade a potion you need to quote the mule and post this form. The mule will reply with you new potion! You can not swap 3 potions found by different characters.

There are currently two methods to finding a potion.

1st Method - RP

You can now request the shop mule to stop by your RP (both regular and battle) by having the * symbol somewhere in your title.

By doing this you allow the mule to make a post randomly in your RP thread. Unfortunately this may mean your character's see's something twinkling in their field of vision as they get punched in the face! So you may have to come back to quoting the mule and rolling your dice!

It doesnt matter how many people you have playing in the RP either, everyone has a chance to roll for a prize unless you decide you dont want too!

But the main rule is that you have to complete the RP your in to claim the potion! If you try and claim a potion before you have finished it will not be accepted!

The blurb can change from post to post but the same basic rules apply!

Rules:
.Roll 1 six sided dice for a chance to win a potion!
.You need to throw either a odd or equal number number depending on what the mule has throw out (it doesn't have to match the number but what type of number it is!)
.Please quote the mule when you throw a dice. If you forget don't worry, just re quote the mule with a new dice throw and the original will be ignored!
.Depending on what number you throw will show you which potion you will win!

1 = Health Potion
2 = Revival Potion
3 = Speed Potion
4 = Defense Potion
5 = Strength Potion
6 = A potion type of your choice!

. And dont worry if you both/all roll the right dice number, you will all get a price! If you dont then better luck next time!
. And please dont cheat! There will be lots of chances to win!

The mule will pop up randomly to throw some mini games your way. They can be anything from dice throwing games to finding certain images and posting it in the thread! Keep on the look out for the Destiny City mule popping up in the thread somewhere near you!

The rift has revealed a terrible secret!

During a mission two agents of the Negaverse stumbled across a door, sealed shut by giant chains. There is no indication of how the door came to be, who had locked it and what terrible secrets lay beyond. Yet despite all this the door was opened and the outcome was terrifying to say the least. Huge youma, uncontrollable by all agents, came stumbling out fleeing into the rift to seek revenge. Now as time passed the effects of opening the door have become very apparent. The Youma are finding their way to earth and it is up to everyone to try and stop them!

This below information is dedicated to battle information when fighting these youma. Read all that is available and get ready for the next fight for survival!

Please familiarize yourselves with your characters HP guide and attack powers.

All characters have a number of Health Points (HP). This is what you start off with at the beginning of each battle. Depending on your level the difference in HP can be quite large so you must be certain you want to join in on battling a Youma or you could find yourself KO'd fairly quickly!

Remember due to Chibi low attack strength then have bigger defense allowing them higher HP.

Negaverse Agents & Knights hold the same HP & attacks.

Everyone can attack a Youma including civilians! You have two types of attack, a physical attack (for all characters) and a magic/weapon attack if you have a powered character. There are some limits to certain attacks so be wary before trying an attack that might not work!

Attacks are based on dice rolls.

Depending on your power level you will need to roll a dice, the number of dices you roll depends on your level! So if it says 3 x 10 you need to roll three 10 sided dice.

You have 5 attack slots you can use per round . For example you can use a physical attack 5 times within one round but you can only use your magic/weapon attack 2 times. So if you attack with just your physical abilities 5 times you can't then use your magic/weapon attack. Make sure you use your attacks wisely.

For magic, no matter if you have a power that is more offensive or defensive, healing or otherwise, all magic attacks you perform will injure a Youma. In the case of your Senshi having a healing/defensive power they will no longer work and instead be used in an offensive mode (their names can remain the same). To help someone in regards to healing or defense the use of potions can be used.

So Remember!


. You HP is set on your character level.
. You have 5 attack slots per round.
. Physical Attacks can be used 5 times.
. Magical/weapon attacks can be used 2 times.
. BUT remember, you can only attack 5 times!

One off attacks are powers that cane be used only once in battle and there is no need to roll a dice as they will automatically hit for the number quoted below.

Royal Crystal Attack = 100

General K/Q mega attack = 100

Guardian Cat Laser Beam = 100

When posting in a fight you need to have this form at the top of every post to help you keep track of your HP and attacks.

Positive Status Effects

User Image Defense status
You can gain this status effect by using the blue defense potion. For every attack a Youma does to you, you can deduct 3 hit points from its total. For example a Youma strikes you and hits for 5 points. You can remove 3 hit points from that total so only 2 hit points are taken from your HP.







User Image Strength status
You can gain this status effect by using the yellow strength potion. All your attacks can be increased by 5 hit points. For example you roll a 2 x 6 sided dice and get 8, you can add 5 hit points on to that total making it 13. That is how much you will attack for in that post.







User Image Speed status
You can gain this status by using the orange speed potion. You can automatically dodge certain attacks by Youma if you have cast it before the Youma attacks.






Negative Status Effects

KO'd status:
Once you have run out of health you are KO'd, unable to move or attack and this will last until the end of the battle. Put this symbol in your post if you have been KO'd.
If you have a revival potion on your person it will automatically crack and revive you with half of your original HP points. If you don't have a revival potion you will remained KO'd until the end of the battle.
Another player can use a revival potion on you to the same effect.




User Image Poison status
If your character is inflicted with poison they will lose 2hp points every round. After 3 rounds the poison will wear off and you are returned to normal status.
Unfortunately there has been known cure found for poison, even Senshi magic has no effect on this status.





User Image Paralysis status
You character is unable to move or attack or roll for defense. They are vulnerable while this status is active and will wear off after one round returning your character to normal status.
Unfortunately there has been known cure found for paralysis, even Senshi magic has no effect on this status.

Name: Fey'irela
Bio: Trapped within the rift Fey'irela has spent centuries cultivating a hatred for all that lie beyond the door including anything that may bring a person happiness. On finding herself free from her confines she is the first to emerge on this earthly plane and is attracted by a music event and the excited cheers of hundreds of fans.
Type: Physical & Status effects
HP: 4000
Physical Attacks:

Slash & Hack
If Fey'irela singles you out she can slash at you with her claws, hopefully you have enough defense to shield yourself from this attack!
Roll one 6 sided dice, the number is how much her attacks inflicts on your character.

Razor Petal Shower AOE
Fey'irela starts to spin throwing up her skirt of petals to reveal a layer covered in deadly sharp razors. The petals will start to fling off into the room at random catching those unprepared.
All active players must roll one 100 sided die, if you roll under 30 the attack misses you. Roll over 30 and deduct 10hp.

Status Attacks:
User ImagePollen Paralyze Supreme AOE
Casting purple fog from her hands Fey'irela sends out thousands of pollen pieces that can paralysis a character holding them in place. If a character breaths in the pollen they are unable to move or attack for next the round. Roll one 100 sided dice once this attack has been played.
If you roll a number over 50 your character has been struck by this status. You character can still be injured in this state.

User Image Sweet Nectal Illusion
Fey'irela spits out black globs of poison. If it lands on your character they are inflicted with the poison status, removing 2hp points every round. Roll one 100 sided dice once this attack has been played.

When are these battles going to happen?
These events can happen anytime! The Destiny City Mule will post in the main thread with information of when the battle will start.

If this is a Youma battle and I have already completed my 1 x Youma battle requirement per characters stage, can I still participate? And does it count as a battle requirement?
Yes! Because this is a staff run event it doesn't count as your 1 x Youma battle that you can complete on your own. So you can participate in as many of these battles as you wish and each one would be a battle requirement you can claim.

I only have a civilian character can they still play?
Yes they can, they are a lot weaker than a powered character of course but that doesn't mean your civilian couldn't help out if they wanted!

The Potion, HP and Attack guides are really confusing!
If you have any suggests to make them easier for players Matisha is all ears! With feedback after each battle we hope to improve the game play to make it easier and more enjoyable. If of course you see anything glaringly wrong with any of the guides please let Matisha know.

I want to get a potion, how do I go about this?
You can get potions in a number of ways though RP or mini games run in the main thread. Be on the look out and make sure you collect as many as you can!


What happens if we dont defeat the Youma?
Who knows! It could continue its rampage or flee back to the rift to recover its health to attack another day!

Do we get any special prizes for beating the Youma?
We hope to one day include prizes and achievements as we develop these battles so watch this space!

I want to design a youma to have everyone fight, can I do this?
Any suggestions would be very welcomed. You can even design you own youma at the Birthing Hub and provide images or back stories for them.

Can I give feedback on the battle?s I want to be able to help out with suggestions for next time!
