"Yeah, after I beat Winona I didn't have much else to do, so I did a bunch of training, learned some Italian, trained some more, got lunch, then trained again before heading off to fight the twins. But that still doesn't explain-" Unconvicned at Isis' attempts to change the conversation, Zero tried to move back to the matter at hand. Although, before he could, Yang of course stepped in. What followed was an exchange that half angered him, strangely, but primarily left him even more confused than before. Every fiber of his being felt the urge to punch the Zorua, in particular at his last line, but before he decided to give into the temptation, Isis lept up and chased the transformed Zorua out of his house. "...What just happened?" He turned to Nova again, who took a step back. "What?"
"N-Nothing, nothing..." The Gardevoir waved her hands defensively. Even without being a psychic type, the murderous intent was almost palpable.
Sliding out of bed, Zero quickly gathered his things and returned most of his pokemon. He only left Nova out in case he needed her, and Nu since, apparently, they couldn't get him in the house, so they just left him outside. Fortunately though Zero didn't have to run that far, before reaching the grass Isis had run to. He hadn't quite gotten there in time to catch the two battles, but he caught up soon enough. "So am I gonna get filled in on anything that just happened or...?"

"W-well.... When I left you before your battle with Winona, I flew to Azalea and ran into Leon. He was that guy at the Halloween ball who helped you when you had that heart attack, and also uh.... The man Yang is now in the habit of impersonating..... It wasn't as bad as he's making it out to be though!!! I was just upset so Leon read off a bunch of corny pick up lines. They were funny and they cheered me up, it wasn't like he's being serious. I mean... At least..... I don't think so...." Isis shook her head. She had a date with the guy already and she still wasn't even sure if he was actually serious about wanting to be in a relationship with her. Leon was so flirty all the time, she wasn't sure if he always acted that way or if he was just that way with her. She had no real way of knowing. He'd seemed pretty serious about the date though...

Zero listened intently as Isis explained what was going on. He quirked a brow at the end of it, on how she wasn't sure if Leon had been serious in his words. "How could you not be sure?" He asked, not nearly as aggitated as he was a moment ago. He couldn't get too mad about it, all things considered... Actually, now that he thought about it, why was he getting mad? It wasn't like he and Isis were together either...
Although, before he could really think about it, Yang chimed in once again, impersonating Leon. Though his expression remained unchanged, the urge to punch him returned until Isis returned the trickster to his pokeball. He let out a sigh, before his companion finally spoke up again. "Yup, everyone's gotten a lot stronger too." He motioned to Nu. At the mention of training, he perked up a little. "Sounds like a plan! Come on, let's head to Mt. Pyre. I know exactly where to train."

✿ ❀ Isis fidgeted a bit as Zero asked how she couldn't be sure if Leon was being serious in his flirting though. "I-I don't know! He just seems like the type to flirt and not be serious about it, plus he was only using those lines to make me laugh, that was all...." Isis frowned. It was just too weird. She never had seen herself as anything but plain, and a bit on the self conscious side ever since she'd been attacked by that Skarmory, always wearing long sleeves and pants to cover up the scars on her body. She was also pushy and pouty and got jealous easily, sometimes overeager and excitable to the point where she got really annoying. She just wasn't desirable, in her mind, so she found herself confused when someone like Leon flirted with her. Heck, she would probably be confused if anyone flirted with her at all. She didn't understand, and didn't want to potentially get hurt by assuming things that probably weren't true.
Isis turned her attention away from her rather dismal thoughts and back to Zero as he mentioned how much stronger his team had gotten, indicating Nu. Isis smiled at the Metagross. "Hee yeah I noticed! Congrats Nu~" Isis praised, though speaking of training and gym badges, Isis mentioned that she was looking to try and battle Wallace though she'd wanted to train a bit first. Zero seemed to perk up a bit at the idea, instantly suggesting they go train at Mt. Pyre. Isis froze at the mention of that ghost infested place and backed away from Zero. "Ooooh no. Nope. No way. I'm not going within fifty feet of that place. No way no how. You can forget it! There are plenty of better places to train. We don't need to go there right Raj--" Isis argued, turning to her snow leopard companion, but Raja had started following after Zero the moment Isis mentioned that Mt Pyre was a ghost infested area. Isis pouted, figuring she was outvoted on this one. "Unnfff...." She groaned, on the verge of tears already. She trudged along behind them, dragging her feet and continuing to pout until she got another text from Leon;
"Whoa, really? No joke? Guess we are just destined for each other, huh? ;D but no, seriously. That's so strange! Sharing dreams... I didn't think that could happen! Despite Isis' objections, Zero had already started walking in the general direction, Raja close behind. Of course, they'd need to fly or surf there anyway, so he stopped a little ways away to make the point that it was where he intended to go. When he turned back however, he saw once again that Isis had her face buried in her X-Transceiver. She wasn't blushing this time, though sniffling wasn't exactly an improvement, but it saddened Zero regardless. While Isis typed up a response to whatever message she'd recieved, Zero turned to the little black leapord that followed him, crouching down to pet it. "Heh, now I'm confused for a different reason little guy..."
Eventually Isis finished what she was doing and headed over to him, trying to get out of heading to Mt. Pyre. "I need plenty more training. Even with seven badges, I'm not strong enough. And once I am strong enough, I'll just keep training until I can't anymore." He said, still keeping his gaze vaugely on the little leapord, even if he wasn't addressing it. He looked away for a moment, grimacing as the memory of the final scene of his nightmare flashing in his mind. "...I will not fail a third time. He said under his breath, admittedly hoping Isis didn't hear him. "At any rate, I'm fine with you picking the spot. I just prefer Mt. Pyre. It's more... peaceful for me there." He stood back up, turning back to Isis with his normal neutral expression... something he hadn't quite had as of late. "I guess a change of scenery could be good though. Where'd you rather train at then?"

✿ ❀ Isis honestly couldn't argue against Zero's training. No one was perfect, there was always something to improve on, sure. But.... "I meant like..... You need to take a break.... You can train more wherever you want some other day, but dammit Zero you wore yourself ragged and pulled two all nighters just to train night and day for two days straight. What you need to do is sit on your butt and rest for a while. You're gonna kill yourself at this rate!" Isis frowned, not sure why he was suddenly being so aggressive in his training. He'd never had this "train till you drop" mantra going on before. He muttered something under his breath, which Isis didn't quite catch, but before she could ask what he'd said, Zero mentioned that he had no qualms with her picking their training spot, he personally just felt more at peace while in Mt Pyre, which Isis knew but could never really understand herself.
However, Zero then admitted that a change of Scenery could be good, asking her where she would rather train. "Well, I mean, if you want to train at Mt Pyre, theres nothing stopping you, I'd just rather train somewhere that.... Isn't ghost infested..." Isis frowned. She'd had more than enough of her fair share of ghosts and zombies and creepy places from that Halloween Ball, she didn't need any more. "I think I see a few trainers over there in that grassy area over there outside Mt Pyre. As long as I'm not going inside it, I think it would be okay just to like.... Kinda stand around outside it and battle them if you wanted to head inside...." Isis offered as a compromise. Plus Raja seemed to want to go and battle some ghosts, so if she was going to train the snow leopard, she may as well go to a place Raja actually wanted to train in. ✿ ❀

"...To be fair," Zero tried defending himself. "I only trained for one day. The other day was spent... well, you know." The whole ordeal with the Halloween Ball and its aftermath were all draining experiences, even he had to admit it took its toll on him. Even after sleeping, he probably wasn't in the best shape still, not that he'd admit it. "And besides, I can't afford to fall behind any."
After offering her to go somewhere else, Isis offered a compromise. He was admittedly a little surprised, given how she was the first time she went there with him. And after the ball he didn't expect her to go anywhere near the place, but he wasn't complaining. "Alright, that's fine with me."

"Actually, I meant the day we got back," Zero clarified. Though, technically it was only a single night, it was still before he went around fighting and training. But regardless, the topic was dropped, and Isis commenting on it not being a race. "I don't intend it to be." He sighed, his cryptic comments not exactly helping his case that much. But once his companion was ready to go, he nodded, already pulling out Ashen's pokeball. "Works for me, though you might have to come back for me if Ashen drops me again." He joked, letting the dragon out of his pokeball and climbing on to his back. The Charizard acended with Isis' Noivern, and the two sped off towards the mountain, Ashen lagging a bit so Zero doesn't go flying off.

Docking at Lilycove City, Ko found herself rushed by nostalgia. She hadn't been in the city for long, but it's familiar sights and sounds and smells made her squeal with excitement. "It's been so long since we've been here." Ko announced, rushing down the pier. "It's only a city...." Kezia replied with a roll of her eyes. Ko turned with a feirce look in her eyes. "Of course it is, but now we can enjoy the sights a bit more then we could during that race." Kezia huffed, motioning across the city. "Don't you have to find out about someone before you can 'enjoy' anything?" Kezia replied, reminding Ko of Ohm. She paused nodding. "Right, okay." With that the duo headed for the Pokemon center.
Nearly a ten minutes later, Ko found herself at a transfer device, waiting for someone from home to pick up the phone. Within the first few rings, the receiver was picked up and an image of Vana flickered onto the screen. "Ko-dear, and Kezia-dear!" She called, a shocked expression on her face. "How is the festival treating you?" She pondered. Ko shook her head. "We got seperated from Ohm not even the first day in, but.... a lot of things happened and I couldn't go and look for him." Vana's expression was enough to make Ko frown. "He's alright though, I got a message from the Hospital in Veilstone." Ko continued. "They're sending him to the house, our house, since... Well, He has nowhere else to go." Vana nodded. "I'll be waiting for him. His room is still prepared. But where are you dear?" Vana asked, looking as though she was trying to see around Ko to determine what Pokemon center she was in. "I"m in Lilycove, He told me in a letter to continue traveling, so that's what I'm doing. I'll get everyone stronger so we don't end up separated any more." Vana nodded. "Mom, could you send Emyore over? And a change of clothes?" Vana nodded once more. "I just went shopping and I found your favorite outfit, so I'll send that off right away, it should take at least a day to ge there." However fetching Emyore and sending him via transfer system took but a few seconds. "Alright, now be safe dear." Vana waved. Ko ndoded, waving back as the screen went black ;the call ended.
Standing up she found Nurse Joy and procured a room for the night.

As expected it took nearly a day to get her clothes. A familiar fabric that she loved to wear in a familiar pattern. Quickly changing she sent back her mother's robes, taking her leave of the center. Traveling along Lilycove, Ko headed up to the large mall that stood tall over Lilycove City. It wasn't long before they reached a split in the path. One way lead to Fortree, the other to Maville city. Of course Ko wished to take the shorter route, calling Emyore from his ball as they neared the end of the small dock to the north of Mount Pyre. The Penguin emerged with a grin, effectionatly rubbing up against Ko, half-way hugging her with his giant flippers. "G-good to see you too, Emyore... We haven't been apart that long have we?" She mused, hugging him back. "Well, I need to ask if you'll ferry us across this water?" Emyore glanced towards the direction they were heading and nodded. Quickly walking his way to the edge of the pier. With a quick belly-slide he was in the water. emerging once more he smiled up at Ko with a grin. "Alright, let's head-" Before she could finish her sentence a blur of white flashed from her bag, and darted off into across the water, using it's natural body heat and some help of ice beam to create stepping stones in which to cross the water to the mountain at the center of the lake. "Fone!" Ko called, getting no response as the ghost leaped up the mountain side and into a window. "What the heck got into him?" Kezia pondered, stepping forward. She launched herself to one of Fone's ice steps, only to slip and fall backwards into the water. She emerged a moment later, shivering. "S-sh-ee- Why i-is the w-wa-water so c-co-c-c-cold!" Climbing onto Emyore's back, Ko and the penguin traveled over to Kezia, which allowed Ko to pull the fox up onto Emyore's back. Spitting out some fire, the fox attempted to warm her fur. "Must be because of the mountain." Ko motioned. There wasn't any snow surrounding Mount Pyre, but there was almost always a fog near it's peak, which often created a cool current and blocked out the sun from warming the lake at the mountain's base, making it fairly cool year-round. Some people joked that it was because Mount Pyre was also a graveyard... "Well, we have to fetch Fone in any case." Ko signed, tapping Emyore's back. "We'll dry you off inside."

Walking the trek back to Lilycove was tiresome. By the time Ko reached the Pokemon Center she was to beat to even ask for a room. Kezia took care of that, as well as carrying her troublesome trainer to the room for the night. Looking down at Ko as she laid the woman in the bed, the fox started to think about all the things she'd argued about with ZK back at the festival... she couldn't believe she'd meet him again, there of all places... It was good to know he was alive, and doing okay for the most part. Shaking her head she stood up and tossed a weary look to Emyore. "I'm going to contact Ko's family." Kezia stated, hiding her true intentions of speaking with her own mother and brother.... once they found out ZK was alive, and that... he'd run away like a chicken... She knew Tsukaza was going to be pissed.
Finding the phones, the fox quickly called Ko's home, finding Vana on the other end. "Kezia-dear, how are you? Ohmaru has been here for quite some time... Is Ko alright? She hasn't called, or-" "She's fine, Mrs Tevenwood." Kezia quickly interrupted the woman before she could go on a tangent. "Ko decided to head out to Hoenn for awhile, but I think worrying about Ohm has made her second guess herself...." Vana offered a smile, she could see through Kezia's blatent lie. "I see, well.. He came back in quite a mess. He's been a dear however. I think he'd liven up a bit more if Ko-dear came back home though. " Kezia nodded. "Send Tephinger over, Ko would likely want him, since Ser is still on vacation." Vana chuckled and nodded, quickly leaving the screen to fetch Tephinger. Inkari slipped in, having been watching from the Kitchen. "Mom..." Kezia started, getting closer to the video screen. "I ran into ZK." Inkaria's eyes widened at this news. "He's... doing well. Apparently he's 'hired' a human to look after him...." Inkari remained silent, though her face suggested she was deep in thought over this news. "Mom, he ran away... like a scared little baby..." It would likely be a long time before she got over that bit of information. Inkaria finally moved, shaking her head. "Kezia, we all ran... We were all scared, humans hardly ever came to our home. For humans to break through our illusions to come into the woods was scary enough as it was, we were all not thinking properly." Offering one her famous motherly smiles, the down-to-earth Zoroark smiled. "It's good to know he's alive right? Your father would be happy to know you'll be well taken cared of then." Kezia narrowed her eyes. What did that mean?
"Here he is!" Vana called, returning with Tephinger's ball. Hurry back now, I'll be sure to tell Ohm you'll be here by tomorrow!" "R-right, thanks, Mrs Tevenwood." Kezia nodded to her mother, then quickly said her good-byes and hung up, bring Tephinger's ball with her back to the room. Perhaps her mother did have a point.

Upon returning to the room, Kezia found Ko tangled in her blankets, hugging a pillow. Apparently in a deep sleep, and a peaceful one at that, the fox didn't want to disturb her, so sh walked to the nightstand, placing Tephinger's ball down. She then sat down on the adjacent bed, and laid back. She hadn't expected it, but for the first time in forever the fox closed her eyes, and actually fell asleep.
The next morning, Ko was up bright and early. Looming over Kezia, the fox woke up to find Ko staring down at her. "Good morning, Kezia." Ko stated with a smile. Kezia grinned sitting up slowly. "I see you must have called home?" The blonde asked, holding up Tephinger's ball. "Yea... Ohm is there, he got pretty hurt, and I guess he's crashing there for awhile." Ko's eyes widened. "How hurt? His letter from the doctor explained he was alright, but I didn't get details." Sitting on the bed, Kezia hugged her knees. "Just a broken arm, and his leg is apparently messed up a bit more than it was. " Ko glanced away. Why hadn't she returned home sooner? She though of quick reasons why, but each sounded stupid in the end... just excuses, she shouldn't have just went off without him... or at least contacting him. "I guess we're heading home than?" A rhetorical question, Ko quickly lead Kezia out of the Pokemon Center. And within a few minutes she and Kezia were on Tephinger heading home.

Arriving well before Isis, Zero took the opportunity to clear his head a bit. He'd spent so much time running around, fighting, or having mental breakdowns, he hadn't realized just how tired it made him. Once he landed, he returned Ashen to his ball, and began to walk head towards the shore. None of his pokemon had popped out, unfortunately that had a calming effect as he stepped on the sands. He looked around for a moment, finding the beach mostly empty, and the seas calm. Perfect time to just sit down and relax. He walked a rough path of stones that acted as a natural seawall, hopping all the way to the biggest, flattest stone, and sat there. Now all he could do was wait again, to see if Isis was going to meet back up with him and reflect in the meantime.
