He took a deep breath, walking down the way, and stopped at a group of people singing carols for charity, and stood behind the onlookers to hold his mittens up as if to play along, but instead seeped a bit more energy. It was crazy how many people were around and paid no mind to a reindeer mascot acting oddly.

Oh, a charmer. Acanthite blushed slightly, and hoped the warming of her cheeks would be taken as a reaction to the cold.
She curtseyed in reply, as it felt like the right thing to do while in a little skirt and crinoline. "Lovely to meet you, too ... Matt." Picking a name out of thin air, the dark senshi winked at him. Easiest that way, she figured, than trying to come up with some other way to discreetly refer to him.
Maybe looking sufficiently like a charming couple could help both of their causes, especially since she had been running late. She rested her cheap frilly parasol on one shoulder, batting her eyelashes at a pair of passing girls clearly checking out her outfit. Smiling sweetly, Acanthite attempted to pull some energy from them as they passed....
Okay, maybe the grin was a little too much. She extended her free hand to 'Matt' again, asking him, "Where haven't you been yet? Can you show me around a little?"
It seemed that perhaps whatever luck Cinnabar had had thus far had finally run out. Her deadly prowl through the fair had netted her quite a bit of energy, but once people started to take notice of her, it had gone downhill from there.
It took her a bit to find someone who didn't notice her right away when she wandered up... most people glanced her way with questions on her faces and she had swerved away, not wanting to risk drawing more attention to herself.
Finally, she had swept past an old lady who was busy searching in her purse and she brushed her hand down her coat sleeve, trying to be subtle... but the drain on her energy was too much and the old lady cried out as she sagged, wobbling and falling to rest on the booth. Voices raised in concern made Cinnabar drop the energy she had gathered from her and she quickly moved away, hoping no one would link her to the incident.

Azurite made a cooing noise when Cyllene pulled her in for a hug. "I'm fine, you?" She asked, giggling at the blonde's enthusiasm. "I'm kinda bad at it too. Some old lady hit me with her purse earlier. The last time I tried this... I got into a fight with some white mooner.." Ahaha... that was fun. ....Didn't hurt the senshi she had to fight was cute too. She blinked, staring when Cyllene turned and kissed some girls cheek. "Oh I see how it is." She said, her tone teasing and playful as she adapted a fake hurt expression. "Give them a kiss but not me! Fine! Two can play at this game!" Azurite tried not to giggle as she prance up to some unsuspecting male and kissed him on the cheek. Only to be slapped by the guys boyfriend.
Ow.
"Aaaand I think I'm done for the night." Azurite mumbled as she rubbed her cheek.
Erythrite slipped by her General's booth, giving Ilmenite a brief polite smile and a nod as she collected the caroling book, and she wasn't entirely sure why she was doing that. Singing wasn't her forte; her siblings were the musical ones. Cookies and cocoa would have been a better choice, as she learned very quickly.
She sang a little, but while she had many talents, singing was not among them, and very quickly people were giving her strange looks and avoiding her rather than getting close enough to drain.
Feeling desperate, the Lieutenant had rushed to approach the last person and hadn't even made it close enough to try and drain them before they frowned at her, making it quite clear she was being far to creepy.
Damn it... ******** this s**t.
Spinning on one tall heel, Cinnabar stalked towards the entrance and out of the fair. It was time to turn in her energy and get some ******** coffee. The rest of them could go freeze to death for all she cared. A couple of people on the street stepped aside to give her room as she passed, looking nervously at the murderous expression she wore.
Pretty much absolutely done with this caroling crap, Erythrite returned to the booth and set it down, this time picking up some of the cocoa and cookies. She wasn't going to get a ton of energy out of this, but she could at least try the least-risky method and get some rather than keep risking herself and get none at all. She benefitted almost immediately - as soon as she got out, someone took a sample and she was able to drain a little from them.
She'd found a new spot, humming first, and not yet starting to drain energy. Finally shifting to singing Schörl gave it through one whole rendition of "Riu, Riu, Chiu" before considering starting again. The shoppers near didn't look to attend her presence one way or another, so it had worked for establishing herself as just background ambiance. She leafed through a few of the carol sheets she'd grabbed, considering which might be considered too 'religious' considering the public nature of the market and the pervasive airs of political correctness in city events. It probably didn't matter, if they were there shopping at the Christ's mass market, they could deal with the occasional christian carol. So she leafed to "Gaudete", and lamented briefly that she didn't have anyone else near to have a full range of parts for a harmony. She liked the song well enough for that aspect of it. The captain started into the first verse and started trying to draw energy again, but only got to "Mundus renovatus est" of the second verse before an cranky looking woman and child came over and again interrupted.
This time tearing the music out of her hand and leafing through it crossly. "Don't you know ANYTHING in English? What booth are you from? Go back to it and stop making everyone tired just listening to you, you're ruining the mood."
"Well, not on your authority, anyway, " was the captain's reply, turning on a heel and leaving the woman holding the music dumbly. That was three. Not one success. Dismal. Need a day focus on less head cracking and a few more basics of Chaos-multitasking.
Once again, her method of smiling and flirting with people over the cookie tray was paying off. Erythrite was draining slowly but surely, and while she knew she wasn't likely to match the Lieutenant in leather (who she was definitely going to have to chat with after this, what a hottie) she could at least get a few, and feel less useless on the whole. Unfortunately a holiday fair didn't exactly cater to her strengths, but hey, it all worked out, right?
