Otto's gaze flicked to Ami, "No I don't." He sassed back defiantly, as if he even knew how he looked.

"Next is Rin, lucky girl. Choose a buddy, any buddy."
Just as Mark was about to draw a second name, Sam and Charlotte arrived, both of them decked out in rather nice dresses, purses, and frankly, a lot of make up.
"Can you guys not mess up our shopping day." Sam pointed to her and Charlotte, "We're going to head of first without you stooges, oh, and our cab boy too." There was a finger jab at Otto, and then a gesture for the Death Hunter to come along now. He owed her after all.
"Yeah, I'm sure- I'm sure they're working on it, or something." Mark turned to take a look, only to see several lab techs screaming something about an electrical fire while dousing it with sea water. "Yeah, I'm sure it'll be up any second now." He fastidiously looked anywhere but at the lighthouse and pulled out a third name from the third box. DRAWING 1. Bix 2. Ami 3. Candace 4. Wilson 5. Kat 6. Cass 7. Marcus

"Okay third up we have Ca-"
-BOOOM.
Mark paused. And then slowly, very, very slowly turned around. "Did you guys mess the wires up again, I taped them, red one goes into like the red-"
"Actually," the Life tech hollered back from the twenty foot distance between them and the Lighthouse portal, "It's working now. I kicked it and it's working."
"Okay!" shouted Mark back, "But why are we yelling?"
"I don't know!" Shouted the Life tech back, because this was how nerd conversations with scientists went.
"Well good news!" The Death assistant stood up, forgetting about his boxes entirely. "Portals in order, so the remaining two slots will be ahem auctioned off, proceeds going to yours truly-"
"You said I got fifty percent, a*****e!" shouted the Life tech from the portal.
-"and his helpers," Mark muttered begrudgingly. "Anyway, bids start at five-hundred bucks. Do I hear a thousand?"
Sam slowly put a palm on her face and just as slowly slid it down.

Konstantin stared blankly at the blatant capitalism going on. Seriously. Seriously.
"Or," he said, squinting suspiciously, so suspiciously, okay. "You could be letting us take our leave..."
Kostya looked at Obadiah. "He is division assistant. Maybe, ah, unvise."

"Or I could punch him," Peyton offered at Taym's right shoulder, eyes narrowing down on the Death assistant.

"Unvise part is being the punching, Obadiah."

Oh goody. Two chics were gunna drag him shopping. Errand boy to the extreme. But, seeing as Sam saved his life once, and was always getting him out of trouble, he owed her ten fold. Otto sighed and slowly strolled toward Sam, who seemed busy facepalming at Mark. "Careful, ya might smear yer face." He sassed in deadpan.

As he watched the proceedings, Lucky wondered if he should have felt more concerned than he did. This was almost becoming normal. He met Kostya's gaze with more of a tired one than anything else. He didn't know what had transpired between the Russian and Mimsy; as far as he was aware they were just as much of friends as ever. He had to admit being slightly curious what would happen to the 'winners' if the portals weren't as fixed as they were claiming. It was probably the only thing keeping him here now, at this point. Well, that and the fact that Mimsy had an iron grip on his hand. He knew, he'd been testing it experimentally every five minutes or so with a casual (and very limited) arm movement. "There is alvays next time..." Lucky shrugged, glancing between the lighthouse and Mimsy. The more he thought about how many ways a portal could go wrong, the more he hoped Mimsy was above bribery, especially of Mark.

"One thousand, to the Moon Hunter with the nice coat, gorgeous modifications by the way, do I see a two thousa-"
-CRACK.
"I thought you had it fixed!" the Death assistant shouted back to the lighthouse.
A pause from said lighthouse. "I did, but there's-"
"There's....?" Mark trailed off, raising an eyebrow. "Phil? Phil?!"
The portal behind them responded, or well the portal attempting to be fixed, by glowing a dark, angry red. The runes that were supposed to be regular runes begun to turn black and wither, the portal itself running rampant, out of control as the glow encompassed the entirety of the beach portal party-
- There was a loud quake that shook the entire expanse and then everyone everyone was gone.
Everyone would wake up in a separate cylinder. There was nobody around, just a transparent glass-like cylinder, just long enough to contain a singular human body, closed off. Everything else was dark though there was the sound of humming. The time frame from when everything had turned permanently dark to when each of them woke up was uncertain. The time of day was uncertain, though many would feel slightly hungry. Wrapped around one of their wrists was a strange cuff that glowed an angry red. It sealed off any access to their weapons, an almost familiar technology, warped and modified.
"Ten."
A voice began counting down, as lights light up, blue lights all around the cylinder at the base and at the top in perfect circles.
"Nine."
The room encompassing them light up to show multiple cylinders each with a Hunter inside. Each with a Hunter that had accidentally fallen prey to the unstable portal.
"Eight."
Water was flooding into the room now, though thankfully the cylinder provided some sort of airtight insulation.
"Seven." The water was rising higher now, and as it did and covered the room in mere seconds, the voice became more muffled.
All the lights turned a deep red, and revealed four exits. One on each side of the wall, all equal distances away. They seemed to be tunnels. Water now begin to filter into the cylinders.
"Once the water has fully reached the tip of your cylinder, you may begin." It was a voice, but not one that any of them had heard. It continued to talk, within the cylinder itself. "You call yourself Hunters, but you devour yourselves completely. You are incomplete, you are unwholesome, you will destroy yourselves. We are only here to prove what you already know, to broadcast to the rest of this island these events happening, to every cell phone, to every Hunter not here with you, to each of your precious Division Leads and Assistants. You are fallible and will destroy yourselves. You will destroy yourselves. I will allow from your group five victors. These victors will walk free, unharmed. All other fallen will be our prisoners. If there are more than five victors, then all of you will instead, be killed. The serpent consumes what needs to be consumed."
Silence.
And then the cylinders pushed upwards as water funneled in at all directions. There was no air above just four tunnels to either side. It was dark, cold, and smother water. It stung the skin and burned the eyes. Large blocks of ice floated through the water, moving slowly, sluggishly.
There was only a matter of time before they all fell.
OOC THE SWIMMING BOX:- General rules: When a Hunter has hit 0 HP they are considered "KO'ed". If you continue attacking even after KO'ed, well, you're pretty hardcore. When you are KO'ed you are OUT OF THE GAMES and your body will be retrieved and probably used for science or something - You CANNOT summon a weapon - You must escape through one of the four pipes. All Hunters have 24 hours to respond to this. If they cannot make an escape by then they will pay the price and nearly asphyxiate. They will be eliminated from the games. - You may encounter RUNIC WEAPONS during the games. IF you find one, you can use it as you please. Some can be used offensively, some can be used for heals, others used defensively. - Your HP is HALVED. You cannot attack without finding a RUNIC WEAPON - To escape from the underwater part, roll 1d4. This determines how much damage you take. Take note of your exit. 1: You swim, and a nearby iceberg nearly impales you. It scrapes your skin and leaves a bad cut. -10 HP. The current pulls you into NORTH EXIT. 2: You swim, and small ice shards cut into your sides. -5 HP. The current pulls you into the SOUTH EXIT. 3: You swim, but the current is too strong. It pulls you into the WEST EXIT 4: You nearly sink but the current pulls you away. You are pulled into the EAST EXIT.

SOUTH EXIT
The night was dark and full of terrors, and waking up in a closed off tube was but one. He twisted inside it, unsure of his location and situation.
He did not panic. There would be time for panic later: there was a task at hand. The water rose, and the voice talked, informing Kostya of his fate, talking in riddles and metaphors before condemning them all to a battle royale.
The tube slowly rose, and he took in a deep breath before the water rushed up to greet him-- and swam. Ice sliced into him, and the currents pulled him through one of the exits.
He tried to summon Syntax...But he was alone.

NORTH EXIT
The portals were working because they kicked it? Mimsy stared incredulously in the direction of the lighthouse, endlessly amazed by the lack of scientific integrity here. It seemed that the portals also disapproved of the idiotic tactics - an angry glow tinted everything red, and the ground began to shake, filling the air with the rumble of shifting earth.
Then she woke up.
She blinked until it all came into focus, and was immediately outraged by the fact that she was being held like some sort of human specimen. Unacceptable. As the countdown began, she gently tugged at the bracelet, frowning when she realized what it was.
This was another experiment. Like the one she'd unwillingly participated in before her arrival on the island. Her eyes narrowed suspiciously at their instructions as she watched the water rise in the room beyond the cylinder.
She really hoped that Lucky remembered their pact.
But he was nowhere in sight when they were finally released into the water. She would just have to do this alone for now.
The closest thing that she could manage to swimming was an awkward sort of paddling, which made it impossible to avoid the obstacle of an iceberg nearby. The ice sliced into her arm, and she let the current carry her as she tried to apply pressure to the cut, miserably wishing that she'd never started venturing out of the labs.
