But the tentacle didn't agree. It wanted to be friendly.

Candace stabbed at it with one of her runestones and quickly swam away from it. She had to find the others.

Apparently the seaweed gave some mysterious tentacles ideas, as the creature latched onto Shiloh's leg.

The tentacles were harder to fend off than the sentient plants, and left a nasty burn on his leg.

From the depths of one of the caves, some tentacles reached towards Mimsy, falling short each time. Aw, they were trying. She moved to offer a reassuring pat to one of them, then turned to continue her venture to find the mermaids.
