Degobah shrugged. "I mean, if I got mooned I guess I'd be pretty pissed, too. I'd... I dunno.... throw a rock at the guy or something. Not helping would be a good way to see if they mercs are worth a damn."

Vahn would merely start walking towards the jeep again, secure in the fact that his female partner was behind him.
She could handle the talking, and if anything being apart by long distances shouldn't be a problem if she could ring up his head. He was ready to pull out at a moment's notice from her.

A large man wearing an apron came out, wiping his hands with the apron he wore. Towering over Alexiel, his face was somber until he smiled, his mustache then reaching from cheek to cheek.
"Yes'm?"

Masuyu began to slide himself into his battle mindset, slowly chanting to himself the four noble truths. He reached into the trunk area of the jeep and retreived the helmet to his suit, sliding it on as the man approached. "Dukkha.... Samudaya.... Nirodha.... Magga...." he stated the names of each truth, recounting their meanings in his head.

Wow. Alexiel looked up... and up... at the man who towered over her. He seemed polite enough so there was no reason to fear him and Alexiel gave him a bright smile and bowed politely. "I'm searching for clues that might lead me to petals that are involved in a game. They're called Petals of Chaose. Two very nice penguins informed me that you may be able to help me."

"Petals..." He began to stroke his mustache that was really more like a fu man chu..."Petals..." He looked off to the side and frowned. "No, I don't think so missy..."
He turned back and yelled something in an odd language to someone in the house, who responded in kind before he turned back to Alexiel. "Was one weilding a sword?"

"I did just leave a penguin who was weilding a sword. He rather polite too, awefully mean to those poor melons though." Alexiel paniced inside, though outwardly, she was as cool as ever.

"Stupid..." He grumbled, his fists tightened, and they were as large as Alexiel's head. "I'm sorry missy. The penguins in this neighborhood mix up p and m all the time. He must've thought you said metal."

"I see. Perhaps you could help me find the penguin again then, so that I may ask him about the petals. He mentioned something about looking for jello."

"Jello?" He thought carefully. "Well, there is this little tribe of Jello men down in Durem. The guard tower."

"Thank you kindly sir. I appreciate your help." Alexiel smiled gratefully. "Have a nice day." That said, she turned and was moving through the crowd again. 'Durem... The Guard Tower, the blacksmith says the penguin might have gone there and he's our best lead right now.' Alexiel's voice was once again echoing inside Vahn's head as she paused long enough to mount her horse. 'How do we ditch your oppenents and get out of here?'

A blue light fell from the heavens and jammed itself into the ground. Moments later the earth cracked and rumbled at that point. A full sized statue of a merchant burst through the ground.
Only instead of a scale it held a platter with both hands. Laying on said platter was one quarter of a golden circle, inscribed with runic patterns. The quarter coin was about the size of a human fist.

And of course, said merchant statue bursting out of the ground immediatly caught Allen's attention. I mean, how often does that happen? Not in normal Gaia, at least. So, obviously, it had something to do with the Chaos. Leading Allen to wander over to it, reach onto the platter, and pick the object with the runes up. Inspecting it.
"Huh. Interesting."
If nothing interfered, it would go into his bag, for him to inspect more later.

It was solid gold whatever it was. All with ornate designs that seemd to cut off abrupty on the flat edges.
Under the coin the word "truth" was inscribed.
The minute Allen read it, the statue would crumble into pebbles. All that was left was the coin.

Alexiel was planning a quick get away... until the sky fell and the statue appeared. How interesting. Daemon was already up and in the air, circling over the statue as Allen picked up the coin. The bird was rather jealous that the man had gotten to the shiney before he had.
