Anna recognized the boil at the booth, though she rather hoped he wouldn't recognize her back. She still wasn't sure how they'd stood after everything... ugh, she'd been so lame. If she won the game, though, she'd be less lame? Hmm...
Still, the notes seemed really unfamiliar, and Anna's face slowly turned from 8) to 8|.
Maybe if she listened for longer? Hmm. It sounded a little bit familiar... she tilted her head to one side, putting one hand up absently to steady her hat. Still, she couldn't quite place it.

Mort had taken up Roch's offer to stay in the beanbag chair and nap off the alcohol, though even after a couple of hours he still woke up with a small buzz. Then again, no liver to filter out the good stuff from his body. "Mrrr . . ." He stretched out and yawned, wringing out the rigor mortis one joint at a time. "Thanks for letting use beanbag. Er, 've got a favor t'ask though . . . Know anyone who -" he paused to take out a crumpled piece of paper out of his coat pocket to read from, " - 'Eats all the things' or c-can make contracts?"
At the sight of a ghoul in a hat, Mort sat up and had Bella's name on his lips, but this one was . . . distinctly not red in any capacity. "S'it on tip've tongue too?" he asked with a little smile. "Had that issue earlier. Awful thing, memory."
":An' the horsewoman got it," Roch said, shoving the box of prizes towards Heidla. "Pick one."
Then he looked at Anna, a strange expression on his face. "Y'startin' t'look like Hel, there," he said blandly. "Don't look like insanity, though... y'alright?" he asked.
Then he looked up at Mort's question. "Go find a grue if y'can, Nahm, Ahm, pretty sure their granddad's not here, though. If not, you could PROBABLY get away with me signin' it. I won the school eating competition. But I don't eat strange objects like the twins do. Far as contracts go--"
He glanced at Anna again. "Where's your familiar? That'd work. Him or a demon. But... reaper, reaper, horseman, and--" he pointed at Anna, himself, Heidla, and then looked curiously at Angeline, "Reaper, right?" he asked her. "Are you a student or just visiting?"

Anna nodded cautiously at the strange boil, then jumped as Roch noticed her. "Oh! Um... yeah, I'm fine," Anna said, quickly, though she frowned as she spoke. That was kind of rude of him, saying she looked like hell... and then he asked about her familiar. Of course he did.
"I don't have one anymore," she said, with an edge to her voice; she summoned her weapon, the blackthorn bow sprouting from her hand. "See?"

Angeline slowly turned to look in the direction the voice had come from. "Me?" She pointed at herself, eyes staring unfocused towards the far wall past Roch's shoulder.
"I'm a student. Newly enrolled..." she tapped her scythe against the ground. "Yep. Reaper."

The unfocused eyes, the tapping with the scythe... she was blind? He wasn't sure, but it made sense. Otherwise why would someone have their scythe summoned just to walk down the hall?
"Name's Roch," he introduced himself. "Roch Scythe." Then he looked at Anna's weapon, a hint of confusion on his face. How the hell did someone with a familiar wind up with a weapon? He didn't know, but he figured stranger things had happened in this school. "Cool," he said a bit belatedly.
His fingers had found a new song to play, and the music was yet again a song that was right on the tip of your tongue. How many songs did this kid KNOW?
"Well, like I've said before, feel free t'grab a beanbag, or make a plate of food--if any of y'can play an instrument or sing, you're welcome t'try out for the club," he said. "I'm the president... I think, so it'd be fine t'do it now. Or just ask talk, it ain't like I'm doin' anything other than sitting here."
And he had no clue that Anna didn't know who Hel was--or that Hel was no longer two toned.

After standing there for a few minutes, she goes over to the table gets a couple cookies and a drink then plops down in one of the bean bags against the wall. Watching all the other people coming into the room.

"Angeline. Angeline Nielson." She seemed to suddenly turn her attention towards Roch's guitar (scythe, but she couldn't tell, sadly), a small smile coming across her face. "Have to admit the music attracted me." It was an easy confession, but it seemed, based on how Roch was talking, there was someone else with them too.
And she could hear another female talking. Angeline looked towards Anna. "And you are? I.. you are right there, right?" She suddenly frowned. Knowing her luck, she was talking to a living drumset or something - those did exist, right?

"Eating contest winner works for me," Mort answered with a small shrug, wincing as he leaned out of the beanbag to give Roch the paper and pen. He wasn't sure what had brought on the edge in the witch's voice, but it was curious to him that her familiar had changed into a weapon between years. "Reapers can do that? Mrr, strange creatures..."
And then there was the third one who...Huh. Funny eyes. Reminded him of his partial cataracts. "Music b-brought me here too," he commented as he sat up, joints popping. Ack, he felt a crick in his neck coming on. "New here, huh? Havin' fun?"

Danny frowned. Roch was making fun of her for joining the baking club. Oh she knew it was a stupid idea. "No, I didn't," she said glumly.
Since she was close enough to smack him on the head, she did so and said, "I'm just helping out Xiu, okay? Sheesh you think I told you I was painting my face pink or something." Grumbly Danny was grumbly.
She looked at the group of ghouls that had seemingly appeared out of thin air. "Who's your friends?" she asked curiously. Roch wasn't the type to chit chat with ghouls. It was weird.
Marosa, happy with being a wallflower, focused on trying to recognize the song.
He wasn't very good at guessing, but he did hold somewhat of a tune. (To be honest though, he'd gotten out of practice.)
He tried to nod his head to the music, but ended up jiving to the wrong tune. He stopped, embarrassed, once again trying to just listen and guess the tune.
A few of the words were familiar, but Marosa shook his head, unable to guess the song. It was far different music than what he was used to, and it was a little disappointing to find out that he just didn't know it at all.
Shaking his head for a third time, Marosa just gave up, his wings drooping in disappointment. The music was far too different for his tastes, but he would hang around and see if the ones who were playing the music would be interested in taking any requests.
Hopeful, he looked at the stage, his wings flittering just slightly.
Had he known what Danny was thinking about chatting with ghouls he probably would have hung his head in shame. He'd already screwed up enough with females--if Amphi found out he was just hanging out, chatting with a room half full of them--
Eh, good thing he was oblivious. "That's Anna, that's Angeline, that's um... no clue, no clue, and Mort," he finished, taking the sheet of paper and signing it for the undead. "I'm tryin' t'recruit for FMC," he finished. "Although, really, I'm just exhausted as hell and being a bum with a guitar."
