✧ Blind ✧ Pureblood ✧ Unsorted ✧ First Year ✧ Albino ✧Oh broken angel, were you sad when he crushed all your dreams? Oh broken angel, inside you're dying 'cause you can't believe He would leave you alone, and leave you so cold when you were his daughter But the blood in your veins as you carry his name turns thinner than water⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯ᑕᙓᑕᓰᒪᒪᙓ heard the woman's voice and felt a hand on her shoulder. It was a firm hand, one that had clearly been accustomed to hard work over the years. The woman complimented her on her dress and it's softness. Cecille smiled in what she hoped was the right direction of the woman. "Thank you. And yes, texture is very important to me." she said, her voice small. The woman took her hand and pressed it against a fabric. Small, pale fingers ran over the fabric, rubbing it between the thumb and forefinger, admiring the feel of it on her skin. "Oh, this is wonderful. I like this one very much, ma'am." the girl said, smiling again. It made her happy that someone cared about such little things as fabric texture, for it was the little things that mattered most to her. ⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯You're just a broken angel...

"Weel, then, le's git ye a set o' robes fer school, then." She set to work on the measurements and the hemming and such, taking special care not to make any sudden motions that might startle the young lady. As she worked, she let the girl know whenever she was about to set to work on a certain area, tugging on a sleeve or if she needed the girl to turn. She worked quickly and surely, and finished her set in mere minutes. "There ye are, lass. Ye look lovely. Since the young man already paid, ye ken head on oot. I hope ye enjoy yer firs' year o' school." She turned to the dark-haired young man. "If ye could come here, please, lad, I'll git to work on ye."

Edajin Tarot Unsorted/First Year/Single/Half-blood Location: Diagon AlleyEdajin tilted his head quietly while he listened to the boy talk about Houses. 'So, you are sorted according to personal characteristics', he thought, noting to himself that, if the boy's descriptions were true, he was probably headed directly for the Slytherin house.
At the shopkeeper's voice, Edajin nods and turns away from the other boy after a short goodbye, stepping up to the woman with a quiet glance. ".. What do you need me to do..?"

He seemed rather uncomfortable. She wondered if he was just shy, or if there was an underlying issue. "Jes' stand still an' le' me git ye measured an' such. Then, stand still an' le' me do the hemming. I migh' need ye tae lif' yer arms a bi', but fer the most par', ye'll jes be standin' as still as possible." She waved her wand for the measuring tape to start its work.

Edajin Tarot Unsorted/First Year/Single/Half-blood Location: Diagon AlleyEdajin nodded at the shopkeeper's words, keeping as still as possible while his eyes flicked to the measuring tape moving all around him. It measured almost every part in him, it seemed, as it crossed his shoulders, then stood straight along his arms, then the length of his body, hovering in mid-air the whole time. Even as much as he studied it, his bafflement didn't seem to lessen at all. He wasn't sure he would ever understand charms..

Fiona McKinneyOwner of Madam Malkin's // Shop: Front Room // WearingCURRENTLY WITH // First YearsCURRENTLY FEELING // HappyCURRENTLY THINKING // 'Oh, so many kids...'═════════════════════════════════ Fiona noticed the interest with which the young man watched her tape measure move. She remembered that. Being unsure, confused. Amazed. She smiled a bit, moving on to the pinning and hemming. "Are ye a muggleborn, lad?" She wondered if that was why he seemed so quiet and unsure. When the other young man had began talking to him, he'd seemed shocked, as if it were strange that someone would speak to him. She'd been like that, too. She'd been certain that they could just tell that she wasn't one of them, not really. But, it'd all been nothing. Being sorted into Hufflepuff had helped, of course. She hoped the young man enjoyed school as much as she had.

Edajin Tarot Unsorted/First Year/Single/Half-blood Location: Diagon Alley"I'm.. Half-blood," he explained quietly. ".. I just grew up in a muggle world.. I didn't know anything about magic.. I only just met my father, who is a wizard.. And a sister, who attended the wizards' school for the first time last year.." He looked up quietly when the measure seemed to stop moving around him, his eyes uncertain. ".. Is it finished..?"

Fiona McKinneyOwner of Madam Malkin's // Shop: Front Room // WearingCURRENTLY WITH // First YearsCURRENTLY FEELING // HappyCURRENTLY THINKING // 'Oh, so many kids...'═════════════════════════════════ Fiona gave the boy a smile as he shared his circumstances. Honestly, she'd expected a simple yes or no from the young man. He didn't seem like the type to share. But, the fact that he had made her very happy. One of her favorite things about her job was making small talk, learning about the children. "Tha's lovely, though, tha' ye go' tae meet them all, aye? An' Hogwar's is wonderful, I'm sure ye'll enjoy i'. I certainly did. I'm muggleborn meself, didnae know at all what tae expect. Bu' I loved it from the momen' I go' there." Her eyes got a little far away look in them at the memory, but luckily she was practiced enough that she didn't stick the young man. She was just finishing up on the final stitches when he asked. "An' as a matter o' fact, I am done with ye, lad. Jes' pu' tha money on tha counter fer me an' ye ken be on yer way." She turned to the last young man with a smile. "Yer turn, dear."

Edajin Tarot Unsorted/First Year/Single/Half-blood Location: Diagon AlleyEdajin nodded quietly when he was dismissed, thanking the woman with a word and leaving the heavy gold coins on the counter. He didn't glance to anyone as he left, simply clutching to his robes and keeping his head down. He'd had just about as much socialisation as he could handle. Now he just had to go and find his father, so they could head home. [Exit]

He asked her where the next stop on their shopping spree was. "Oooh. Can we go get my wand? Please?" she asked. The girl was rather anxious to receive her first wand. So anxious, in fact, that she was practically bouncing with excitement. ⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯You're just a broken angel...

Have you heard the news? Bad things come in twos. But I never knew 'Bout the little things. Every single day Things get in my way. Someone has to pay For the little things.
Uriel Adair Scott - Muggleborn - First Year - Eldest of Six - [feeling: Friendly] [thinking: I hope I'll be able to find them...] [with: Fiona] [at: Madam Malkin's] Uriel watched Edajin go and then jumped up eagerly, happy to finally be getting fitted. He stepped up onto the raised platform, giving Fiona a small smile. He wondered if his mum and siblings were still getting his books. Hopefully he'd be able to find them.
It all comes down to you. Let the headlines wait, Armies hesitate. I can deal with fate But not the little things. Armageddon may Arrive anyday. I can't get away From the little things.

She gave the young man a smile. "What abou' ye, lad? Animal, vegetable, or mineral?" She paused, pursing her lips a bit, realizing that he might not gather what she meant. Did children still play that game? She certainly had loved it as a child, especially when she'd gone off to Hogwarts. So many new things had been added to the game! "Wha' I mean is, are ye from a magical family, or are ye comin' from muggles? Non-magic folk, that is," She knew that, if he were a pureblood or even a halfblood, her explaning what a muggle was would seem silly, but she remembered her first time at Diagon Alley, all the question's she'd been asked that she didn't understand well enough to answer. It could boggle a person's mind.

Uriel Adair Scott - Muggleborn - First Year - Eldest of Six - [feeling: Friendly] [thinking: I hope I'll be able to find them...] [with: Fiona] [at: Madam Malkin's] Uriel's eyebrows raised and his brow furrowed. What did that mean? Was it a trick question or something? Just as he was about to ask, she explained what she meant. "Oh. I'm a muggleborn, but I was raised in a magical family. Well, except for my Da. He's a muggle. But Mum says he knows so much about magic by now he's practically an honorary wizard." He grinned. His father was so used to magic by now, it rarely surprised him. Well, except for the Toaster Incident. But that had been an accident. Mostly.
It all comes down to you. Let the headlines wait, Armies hesitate. I can deal with fate But not the little things. Armageddon may Arrive anyday. I can't get away From the little things.

A muggleborn, but raised by magic folk? How very odd. "Tha' mus' 'ave been a verra interesting childhood, aye?" she asked as she started working on the sewing of his hem.
