Dev’s ears twitched as she attentively listened to the secretary. Occasionally her gaze shifted toward the other students around her, lips twisting into a disapproving frown as she watched them mingle with each other as the staff spoke. Her eyes lit up at the deluge of Clan information. Her expression turned serious, but curiosity continued to glow in her eyes as she soaked up everything the secretary said. Territory. Old traditions. Culture. She quickly straightened up at the mention of responsibility. Of course she would do her best to make Halloween proud. A toothy grin slowly made its way onto her features at the mention of homework. Dev wasn’t fond of homework, but this one was easy. It was exactly why she had decided to participate in this program in the first place.
A high-pitched noise caught her attention. She shuddered, small hands reaching up for her ears while Dev searched for the source, a difficult task given the cacophony in the room. She noticed one of the students leaning a smidge too close toward another. They were only a seat away from her. Fangs bared and ears pressed back, Dev leaned toward the boil. “Don ye know th’ meanin’ ay personal space?”

" Yeah," Mitsu nodded again. " I will be fine." She tried to sound reassuring but she wasn't sure how well she had managed. Leaning toward Shun she placed a kiss on his left check and then one more, very gently, against the bandage covering the remains of his left eye. " Don't worry okay?" Sitting back in her seat she tried to focus back on the stage to see what else would be said but once again the chatter began to overwhelm her and her eyes zoned out.

Turning to mist sounded much, much nicer, but like Herryk Mort was not going to press the topic. The assembly was hardly a place to talk about it anyway, especially since it was quite fresh on the mind. "Er, shouldn't methinks," he tried to assure. "Most coming here n'way. Can't, er, find much trouble like so yes?"
And as far as the Scarentines question, it took him a second to figure out who he meant. "Taryn? Seeing? Er yes, did see. Was team captain." The entire point was missed.

Shun wasn't entirely convinced. And quite frankly he was probably going to be fussing about this for awhile. "I can't not worry about you," he said quietly after she settled back into her seat. ----- Demon_Pachabel Text to Shehk: Don't worry about me. I'll be fine. Learn some cool stuff ok?

Bongani may not have been vibrating on the spot like the person a few people in front of him, but he was listening attentively to what the secretary had to say. As an exchange student, he felt he had to be doubly on his best behavior. If he screwed s**t up he could end up insulting three different groups of people instead of the usual one.
So, that's why Bongani was trying his hardest not to throttle the people nearest to him. Bunch of over excitable loud mouths who needed to hush. He felt an eyebrow twitch as his irritation rose and he fought to smooth out his tumultuous emotions. No, this was not to the time to be a cosmic jerk, as he'd so recently been called. He was here to make friends, not enemies...that is if he didn't managed to maim anyone first. He really needed to work on his people skills.

Shenny noticed a demon boil she met at the first Trial; she remembered him being incredibly nice and gentle. And cute, yeah, he was quite handsome. She could finally understand why he was a little bit shy of his outfit back then, it turned out that the boil had quite a good taste and was dressed in a very elegant way. "Hii!", she sent him a soft smile and waved her hand in boil's direction.

Kettil meandered on in signs y'know he signed up for these shenanigans so he might as well partake in it in some fashion, Endzela for the moment was all cradled up in his arms like a small owl-faced infant as he gently rubbed at the feathers upon her chest. She'd been making a fuss at him about possibly being late and what not.
As far as he is concerned he was on time for all the things. All of them.
Now they just needed to hurry up and wait it seemed.

Amanna. Auri was sure she had heard the name before. YES! She had. That family was loaded. Maybe an alliance with him wouldn't be too much of a waste of time. I just need to make sure he doen't turn the tables on me.Auri glanced at JD... Yep, nothing going on up there... She turned back to Ace. "It is quite quaint," she said, looking around the room. "Your business card?" Auri held her hand out to accept it.

Rumbling as he was addressed, the Púca's eyes turned to Dev, glowing a bright and iridescent color that seemed sharp against his otherwise dark skin. His ears folded forward as well, quivering to the sound of her voice. Another curious creature! How fascinating. The horse grinned at her, moving in Dev's direction, though he coiled a possessive arm against the back of the rabbit's chair. After all, he'd laid claim to it -- her! -- and now she was his. That was just how he viewed it, and anyone who dared to say otherwise could try. Humming deep in his throat, a sort of would-be growl apart from the distinctly equine like nature, Fallow leaned in, nose to nose now with this... ah, whatever she was.
"Maybe." He snickered again, the same high-pitched sound. "Doesn't mean I have to abide by it though, does it?" Without hesitation, the Púca lent forward and closed the distance between Dev's forehead and his, rattling their skulls together.
"Hmm. Hello. I like you, I think."

Rafael shoved his hands deep in his pockets. There was a hole in one pocket, and he nervously poked his finger in it, worrying with the hole, tugging at loose threads. It was a good thing he never had any loose change, or he'd be dropping it all over the place. His other pocket had a book in it, a particularly tattered paperback that was missing its front cover and was falling apart at the binding. He was glad he'd remembered to bring a book. Not that he'd really have any time to read it, but it made him feel better to have it with him -- like a security blanket. His ears twitched, and he glanced up, taking his eyes off the enrollment list. He wasn't sure what they were all supposed to be doing next. He glanced over at the podium, decided that no more public announcements were going to be made, and then let out a defeated noise. They were supposed to be socializing. ...How in the world do you make friends with people you don't know?! Hadn't he always been raised NOT to talk to strangers? Taking a deep breath, he pushed his way back toward the back of the room, where students seemed to be milling about. He cast his gaze around, searching for a possible friendly face.

Aurian listened with rapt attention to the assembly speech. Generic and not-so-helpful as was the norm, but she nodded along in the right places anyway. She already signed up for the classes that the Four Clans were offering, and the homework that was being assigned was nothing that she hadn't been planning on doing anyway. Of course she wanted to learn more about them! Admittedly they hadn't had the greatest introduction - Aurian was never getting over that stupid boat trip and island fiasco. But at least half of that had actually been the Hunters, so Aurian was willing to give the Four Clans another try. The Trials hadn't been too bad, after all. (Or so a little bit of time and distance from them had Aurian thinking. She refused to speak of the 24 hours after the trials ended, which she'd spent sobbing into her pillows, the nightmare of the Death Trial still lingering.) The speech was over and excited chatter filled the auditorium as the students turned to one another. Aurian glanced around and sighed. Fishing her phone out of her belts, she sent off a few texts. Random Artist Hi Vaith! R u in hall? Can't see u newhere. Find me? ): <3 Aurian peipur Mai, r u even awake? Did u hear announcement? What classes u taking? <3 Aurian With a sigh, Aurian settled into her seat. Her red eyes were glued to the phone, willing it to beep with a return text.

Willow's ear twitched as she looked at the yellphone, she was pretty sure she didn't hear that vibrate, but it was too loud in here to tell for sure. "Tell Mei I said hi." She said as Bul walked off.
"Looks like I'll have to find someone else to watch my two mini pets." She seemed a bit disappointed. Her tail flickered as she looked at Cady, "Do you know anyone not going that can take care of my minis..." She paused, "And not eat them." That was important to add in there.

Ace winked in reply to Auri's question. "Is quaint, yes," he said, now returning to the subject of Amityville. "But there ain't nothing wrong with that at all now is there? Better a school that gets all of the news coverage and spotlight where money can be made... rather than a stuffy institution for boils to produce fine spookie-cutter delegates for the dry-a** world of politics."
Such talk from a boil no older than 16.
Ace glanced back to JD now, blinking curiously as the demon seemed taken back by something. SOMETHING. "You uh.. you alright Johnny Boil?"

Reiko hovered towards the back of the crowd, hoping, no praying that none of the people she had run into at the Trials of Famine were here. She wasn't really sure why she was showing her face at Amityville again, other than sheer stubborn determination. She needed to get out of okaa-san's house and meet new people and deal with this...boil...thing so she didn't immediately determine that any boil was out to hurt her and betray her and generally make her life more difficult and oh my, there were so many boils here.
The onryo shook her head. Now was not the time for such thoughts. She had listened carefully to the secretary's announcement and she was sure she could adhere to whatever standards of behavior were required. She had chosen Death and Famine as her classes, and she was actually rather eager to see the Four Clans' home.
