No wonder, why Shenny always preferred demons. Who else, she thought, can be that sexy, graceful and stylish at the same time? "Why do only demons understand", thought Shenny, "you have to be attractive to make a good company".

"Oh, thank you!" replied Shenny with a polite smile stepping into the shadow. "This thing in the sky.. it's much worse than I imagined. But I bet, we're better, than this poor undead ghoul", Shenny nodded in the direction of what should be an undead ghoul, muffled from head to toes. The ghoul was just passing near them.

"It's my first time in the Human's world, since I'm not a student... yet. I've just submitted documents to Amityville. What about you?"

"Admittedly, I'm a little curious about it," Jack stated, a little sheepishly, scratching the back of his neck as he looked at the newly green umbrella that she procured, feeling that this spot would be wonderful. "It's a new event, as far as I know, so everyone's going to be excited - I suppose. It feels a little awkward. . . " he strayed, his eyes straying towards Freya, eyebrows knit in a confused glance as the ghoul danced around in . . . whatever that was, thrusting her pompom around as she called at the top of her lungs, cheering on her obvious choice in teams, glee plastered on her face. "Especially with some parents around - I feel like I'm being scrutinized by people I've never seen." He finished. At least someone was enjoying themself already, he figured - and it hadn't even started yet.

Taking the initiative, Jack kicked off his heeled shoes and socks, feeling already worlds better as he set them aside, allowing his toes to dig in to the cooler sands under the surface, sighing audibly as he set his pack down and strapped his . . . beloved mask to it. Opening the satchel, he offered up the sun-screen to Tomoko as he started on his own little 'sand chair', his tail thumping along the sands as he worked, dark fur already starting to speckle with the pale golds of the sand.

"You are correct, I brought some water, but I figured we should hold on to it - in case we feel a little parched due to the remarkable weather. . ." He stated, looking past the umbrella's shade at the bright suns that scorched the sands, a sea of umbrellas opening up before him. "I wonder if those refreshment stands have any to spare. . ."

It was fun for him, being able to just enjoy some time off with his friend, even with that . . . nagging feeling at the back of his head again. He knew that the white one was back, every so often the gaze burning in his back - his fight or flight response already kicking in, under the skin, ready to jump if any chasing were to happen (which, he admitted, would actually be pretty exciting, even in this weather.)

For now he would let that laying down lay though, he had a friend to entertain.

Nodding to the other Reaper, Shun glanced down at the gator, who definitely seemed to be enjoying himself. Though, Cameron did have a point. Mitsu was fairly pale so the sun would most likely not be too kind to her skin. Getting some shade would be most ideal. Tapping her lightly on the shoulder, he motioned her over to one of the umbrellas stuck in the ground to provide such cover.

As he did so, he glanced up at a female dragon who approached.

"..Hi," he greeted in return as he moved over. The sand was considerably cooler in the shadows too, which was rather nice.

Though, his attention soon shifted back to Lou, who decided to call out to Xiu.

"You're treading dangerous territory there," he hissed under his breath as his eyes narrowed. First hitting on his girl, then on the one who was like a sister to him. The Vampire was quickly degrading on his personal shitlist.

"You shouldn't feel like you're being scrutinized, Jack. The parents are here to support their kids, I really doubt they're going to be comparing them to anybody but the other teams. Y'know, the whole 'My kids team is better than that team' mentality. We're not even on their radar." She assured. It wasn't like they were even going to be looked at.

Well, not with evaluation, anyways. They were just kids there to watch the festivities.

When it was offered, Tomoko took the sunscreen happily, kicking her sandals off as she smoothed the balm over her skin. It was really chill on her skin, it felt nice with the heat outside. However, putting said sunscreen on was a bit of a challenge that she normally didn't have to rise to, and soon she had sand sticking to her all over, even after rubbing it in. Probably because she couldn't stop wiggling all over.

Still, once she was done putting it all over - even on the back of her neck, despite the fact that her hair was protecting that, she offered the bottle back to Jack. "Thank you! Now I shouldn't come out of this being all...red and painful."

After a moment, she looked to the groups who were participating. "I hope they put on some sunscream too..." (SPONTANEOUS PUN FOR IT, I HAVE MADE IT)

"Don't worry about water, our not-watered chairs will probably be just fine too."

Chortling softly at the her antics, Jack accepted the tube again, using some sparsely on his arms, legs and - admittedly when no one was looking, he gingerly applied just a little to the part of his tail that curled out past the comfort of the shade, not willing to find himself stuck with a sun-scorched tail.

"I'm just not used to all the attention from adults." He admitted, before scrinching his face up, working the cream through his tail fur in to the soft skin under, fingers burried in black and green fur. "Er, well, without my intent that is - I figure they're enjoying watching their children show what stuff their made of, but it puts me off a little, at the least. I'm sure it'll pass." He finished, before putting the bottle away.

"I'm sure they've made sure the contestants are at least prepared," Jack reasoned, his face softening as he looked at the screens, his eyes flickig between the faces of those he recognised. "They wouldn't be that mean, I'm sure of it."

Smiling softly, not his usual wild smile, he offered up a soft towel that he had brought, his bag almost a never-ending supply fort. "Use this to wipe off some of the sand, It'll itch if you keep it on, I'm sure."

Content with their preparations, he made a little nook for the bag, stuffed it in and fell in to his 'chair', sighing audibly again as he curled up happy, the give and take of the volatile sands amusing him greatfully, like a kitten in grass.

Lumi smirked, Shenny was apparently on the right side of thinking.

"I have yet to see anyone that catches my eye but! Shenny you always pick out the powerful ones. You see get in good with them and presto we get in good at the school."

Not that Lumi had any idea about this but it sounded good didn't it? Her tails swished back and forth, sweeping sand. It was irratating being in this form dealing with everyone but perhaps the game would be good enough to take her mind off it. At least she had someone that seemed to be in the same frame of mind to talk with.

"Psst...what exactly are they doing anyways?"

She asked a little overly couriosly.

"Do you want there to be a next time?" He grinned and burst into laughter at her reaction; ever the entertaining one, this Amphi, "Sure you didn't! That's really convincing!" Because she was squeaking and everything.

"So..." He leaned away, stroking his chin with one hand while holding up the other in a 'wait' gesture, "Let me get this straight... You're saying that mermaids - and mermans, I imagine - go around... Naked? Did I get that right?" Why would she freak out about him taking his shirt off then? That didn't make any sense, unless merfolk look different?

"You go do that, darling!" She hissed and nodded with a determined expression, shaking the sand off her body before curling around the ghoul's feet, "I'll go with you! Assss ssssupport! If he daressss to be rude to you too, I will... I will... Do ssssomething."

Thanatos just grinned, "You ghouls go do that."
