Mademoiselle Alvinette I'm a little confused about something...as cohosts, are we actually playing the CHARACTERS we have, or are we playing ourselves at a costume party, dressed as the characters? I was wondering, because I have a couple of ideas for plot twists and stuff, but that would hinge on the answer to my question. If we are actually going to be in character (like with me actually playing Maleficent), then I was going to say that I should be in character and come to the party "uninvited" (just like in Sleeping Beauty) and try to wreck everything, since that's why Maleficent casts the spell on Aurora (Aurora's family and the fairies didn't invite her with the other fairies to see Baby Aurora, and Maleficent is TICKED when she finds out she wasn't on the list). If we're just playing ourselves but in costume, maybe we could have a plot twist kind of like The Mask or like the artifacts on Warehouse 13, where costumes/costume pieces take over the personalities of the people wearing them. So someone dressed as Freddy Krueger would actually start trying to attack people, the ordinarily mild-mannered Maleficent cosplayer would suddenly become a wicked witch, etc. Sorry if I'm not making any sense. I've been in a different time zone for three days because I was vacationing in another state, and I'm super-tired now that I'm back home. blaugh You are playing as the character. But right now I have maleficent as 2nd in command for jack the pumpkin king, so she would be invited, unless she was supposed to be doing other duties at the time. I was actually thinking that I may want to change something, like have characters be those in the kingdom keepers series. (Yes I am a Humongous Disney fan if you haven't noticed yet) and I really like how they have the kingdom keepers set-up where these Disney villains come alive. If you haven't heard of it I will send you a link to the book series' website. I would need 3 guys though so I would need some people to play as guys. Reason why I am thinking this is because there seemed to be alot of interest in a Disney theme for the ball. Only thing though is if we were to do this we would have our setting right away. It would be Kissimmee Florida, and the Walt Disney World Resort, and that would then change the event from a party to a battle scene in with witches, pirates and ghouls come out to "play" where 5 kids (3 guys, 2 girls) come out as heroes. The only thing though with me on this idea is if something messes up I may go all perfectionist on it since I am a huge Disney Fan and don't like the plot messed up. We could though however create our own plot with the characters, just need to have same setting or won't make any sense.

Ah, okay. I think I am going to have fun as Maleficent! mrgreen BWAAAHAHAHAHA!!! ...And I think I love doing evil laughter far, far too much...
My local library has at least the first book in the Kingdom Keepers series, and I'm a pretty fast reader. I'll have to check those out. They sound like really fun books!

I am going to be changing around characters anyways. The hosts are going to be the kingdom keepers, minus the exception of alvinette who will play maleficent. You could use a mule to play a guy part, but with the new idea I have I would need 3 guy characters and 2 girls in the co-hosts and host minus one which would be a role-player.) I dont really like the battle idea, I think it would turn a lot of people away. Plus not everyone has been to those places

Many people have. Plus we can't make everyone happy. Plus we don't necessarily need to follow their plotline, I am planning a candy war. Which that leads to a contest.

Hey, I don't mind playing a dude. They're more fun anyways for me, since it's a lot easier for me to fictionalize. Just cause I'm a girl, doesn't mean that I wouldn't like to be a guy at times. Hey, you nees pirates? How about I play Jack Sparrow? Unless that doesn't go...but he's a guy! And a pirate! Plus, I know him better than any of the others. Or I could just be a random pirate captain...(Note to self: Needs awesome name.) I could always look up the characters, since I'm quite amazing at reading. I kinda like Mademoiselle Alvinette's Warehouse 13 idea too. It could mean several different characters, so it could be a bit more complicated, however, I will be checking this everyday, since I feel horrible for not checking in as often as I should, so I'm ready to get complicated. For instance, I'd love having some sort of Greek mythology character. I absolutely love mythology, so anything from there would be up my alley, so ask me if you want stuff from there to use. Maybe like the minotaur and Daedalus' maze. We could have all the partiers in there. Just as a note, the maze is near impossible to navigate unless you're a pretty normal mortal or you somehow have Ariadne's String. (Yes, I'm a nerd. Thank you.) I must apologize for not getting on. Life's quite unexpected and I've had a few new orchestras be all like "Ooooo! You're awesome! We want you!". If you really need me, please quote me.

I've never been to any Disney theme parks either, but it's still fun to imagine! whee
*still needs to go to library and check out Kingdom Keepers books* Maybe tomorrow I'll do that. I need to go get some history books anyway, for my comprehensive exam.

I never did get to go to the library (still waiting on my professor to tell me what she wants me to read next for my exam), but it's still on my to-do list (as is looking at the Kingdom Keepers books). I especially want to see how the villains play into the story. mrgreen
