Tenshi was surprised by the hoshigaki that had appeared. This had obviously been something serious to her, as she knew quite a lot about what had happened and set this whole thing up. Looking at her she seemed older... The way she was talking about the past was a little too eery for him. Not to mention it was a hoshigaki that was explaining all this to them. She didn't appear frightening, but he was sure she could with her teeth if she wanted to.
He followed after her, intrigued by the story she was giving them. The only person she recognized was Keon, whom he had only seen at the academy. Gwyn nor Keiko were nowhere in sight. He gave a sigh of relief when he noticed that Keiko wasn't here. He couldn't imagine working with that loud-mouthed, pure-energy-in-a-body in a mission needing to be silent. He was pretty much oblivious to anything going on around him besides the story. "Have you seen these spirits? I wouldn't mind seeing some... and they better be real, not some jutsu you would use to scare us or anything..." He wanted to know more and perhaps a spirit, if it was willing and able, would be the perfect thing to tell him of the past.

Masaraku ignored the boys questions, knowing that they would be answered in time. "Eight years before the Bloody Mist was shut down the Chunin exams were held there. Shinobi from crossed the world came to Kirigakure to participate, as well as several of our own ninja. Amongst these that participated that year were the infamous Savage Brothers. These two shinobi killed not only their own opponents, but the shinobi from the fights before and after them and several others. They were brought down in a rain of kunai from the jonin proctors of the exam, but before they died they cursed the stadium. They cursed it for making them what they were and what they had become. Every time the stadium was used after that, somebody always said that they had seen the brothers in the dark corners of the night. Some even say that the spirits remained after it was closed down." She chose now to answer the questions of the group. "This will be a first for me as well. Others of my clan have claimed to have seen them, and others still claim to have been attacked by them. As Batsu can assured you, I am not a user of genjutsu, so I am not out to trick you. I am merely looking for a little adventure during a boring evening and taking some others for the ride."

Batsu muttered under his breath as Masaraku finished her little spill. "So what you're saying is that we're little guinea pigs in this fairy tale land of ghosts and psycho ninja? Oh brother... this seems like a waste of ime and now I know my team mate is as loopy as her story."Batsu couldn't help but drop his head in disgust. Whatever Masaraku was trying to pull was a big waste of time. He hoped that something would happen soon. Otherwise he was gonna go home.

Not sure who Batsu was he figured it was the one who seemed to know her quite well. Not remembering anything about the Savage Brothers in his readings, but hauntings and the Bloody Mist were there. It seemed rather odd that two ninja who had mercilessly killed ninja in the exams would die from a mere storm of kunai, but he didn't question it. There had to be something to this story...
"I don't mind being a guinea pig. From the sound of it I am assuming we are going to this stadium? Perhaps there will be some left over weapons or something. That should be treasure enough wouldn't you think? I want to solve this mystery, anything else is just a bonus..." Whether it was a web of stories meant to scare newcoming ninja, or the truth, it seemed a little far out there than to be mere coincidence. He decided to go along with it and see where it would take him.

Gin took a deep sigh of annoyance towards the other person. It was proved years past that souls existed back in a long ago shinobi war. (read current manga) Heck this was a known fact since one of the first kage's who apparently had a jutsu that related to souls. (2nd and 3rd hokage) Gin was nevertheless getting pissed at this guy, the girl didn't have genjutsu but he did. Even if there weren't ghosts in this particular incident he would provge it to them. The fact that souls were as well believed as gravity in teh current age and yet this guy didn't believe in them was retarded. "So, do you believe the world is still flat too? Souls existing is old news." Gin notified everyone.
"Though I want to test out their capabilities. I do see one problem however, I seem to be one of the stronger ones in this group along with the guy stuck in the stone age and the blue girl. I'm a rather good genin but I'm not confident that we can beat 2 chunin leveled people, added onto that they are souls who are probally immune to some things." Gin let the Hoshigaki girl know. He was cocky at times but he wasn't stupid, he was really smart actually. People who were around his level he found himself as their vast superior, but to people who were a whole rank above him he could tell t he noticible difference. Also these weren't average chunin, they were peolple who killed a bunch of others, people who might have been chunin level and would have become chunin were killed by them.
"We have me, a close ranged Hoshigaki, a boy who doesn't believe in gravity, and two kids..... what are we waiting for." The ironic part was that he was the youngest probally in the group at the age of 9 but still he was quite skilled and was a genin. Would genjutsu or shuriken really work, logiccally they wouldn't so what would happen.

((All I meant by that is that I don't want people double posting between my post Hayate, though I thank you for attempting to reenforce the rules.))
Masaraku stopped and looked back. "If that part doesn't interest you Batsu, then maybe this will." She turned to face the boys and said, "Of the two brothers in question, one of them was a fierce taijutsu user, the more beastly of the two brothers. His indomitable will and seemingly endless stamina quickly brought him to the top in Kirigakure. He had only been a genin for five months prior to the exams, but he already had B rank missions under his belt. He was known as the savage dog of Kirigakure to his enemies due to his bestial behavior." She looked directly to Batsu and said, "The other brother was an archer, as well as a ninjutsu user. If he does exist you could stand to learn a thing or two from him, and if not his arrows may still be laying around somewhere." She looked to Jin and added, "Yes, I had the same fear that we may not be capable of fighting them, but Shinzu was supposed to meet us there, so hopefully that helps our case a bit."

Batsu looked at Masaraku with a raised eyebrow. What exactly was she trying to prove? How in the hell was it possible to learn from an archer who was dead and brought such disgrace to his family and village. Even if the guy was still around he wouldn't care. He was too set in his ways... even for a child.
What was odd, though, was that the boy felt an ominous presence encamp around him. He shrugged it off though but couldn't help but to shiver. Whatever was going on sent chills down his spine.

Tenshi looked at the young boy who had spoke, "In case you have forgotten, you seem to be a child as well." He wasn't sure if he meant it like an insult or not, but that was the way he took it. Nowadays, it was the way he took them. He didn't leave any room for someone to insult him. The adventure was exciting so he wouldn't let the kid get to him further. "What else would be there? Any ideas? I hope no giant walls to climb... I hate giant walls..." He looked at the hoshigaki...woman? Was she a woman? Or a child? The man he assumed was Batsu looked to be around his age, but the girl, Masaraku was a hoshigaki and they always seemed... older than they should. Maybe she was a few hundred years old and lived during those years? He was sort of creeped out by that thought.
He brought his mind back to the story and what the child had said. He wondered at what he would bring to the 'team.' He didn't know any offensive jutsu, nor did he have a weapon. He was pretty much considered baggage at this point. Perhaps he would find out what he was good at while away on this adventure.

Gin looked over at the acacdemy student and took a deep sigh. "And I've accomplished more than you have in all that excess time and I could take you out in one move." Gin let him know as he very quickly spun his hand out in front of him as he held a shuriken. The shuriken itself wasn't all that impressive but how quickly he was ready to pull it out and how quickly he put that to action was. An academy student saying they were no different than him.
Gin looked over to the Hoshigaki and responded. "I've done 2 C-Ranked missions already, I'm sure I'll be able to get a D ranked misison before I become a chunin but this should be a good way to test my strength. I've done two missions with Shinzu, what's so special about him?" Gin asked sincerely as he didn't really see much in him.

((Trust me, Patience is a virtue Hayate. We are going to have more combat than you can handle soon enough. Just keep your panties on and play nice.))
Masaraku stopped drew her sword and held it out at the mouthy genin. "Shinzu is my teammate, that is why he is special. Quit your bragging you arrogant little wart. I've done a B rank, two C ranks, and a D rank mission, but I don't wave it around in peoples faces. We are all shinobi first and thats all that matters." She closed her eyes and replaced her sword at her hips. Then she looked at Tenshi and said, "Don't pour fuel on a burning flame kid, he won't shut up if you do." She turned and continued down the way. "Forgive me, but it is some ways from the village. This is the best I could do for us." She pointed ahead at a flickering flame in the distance. The moonlight was becoming more and more scarce as they drew closer to the flame.

Although he was quite intrigued at the conversations moving around the group, he couldn't help but feel a chill down his spine. Something just didn't feel right. It was as if the temperature dropped much below freezing for an instant. He shivered and sighed deeply. "That was weird. he said lowly as he continued to folks close behind.
