actually,
all the guys i play with know that i can beat them and they accept it and love to have tournaments and stuff.
i mean there's always that occasional butthead that's like 'ooh, your a girl, why don't you go hang out at the mall or something?'
it makes me mad, but i just ignore them...cus most of the time, within an hour they know i fit it with them more than at the mall.

maybe it's true for some guys, but the guys i hang out with definately don't think that. i actually play more video games than some of my guy friends. sweatdrop another guy friend of mine has a girlfriend who's big into video games and he knows i like them too, so he definately doesn't think that either. he and i hung out not too long ago and i was hanging with some of his guy friends discussing video games. it kind of got intense because some of us had varying views, but it was fun. xd
perhaps some guys think not very many girls play video games because they're too into their games to notice girls like the same thing? *shrug*

Because girls aren't "supposed to" like anything that's not feminine or girlish. And very few popular videogames fall into that category.

That is messed up. Guys look at me funny when I sit to play to play Naruto or Doa or Tekken at anime cons. I love those games! Why is it so weird for girls to play games at all?

What do you think?? It's because of tv! Everytime there is a game commerical.. It's a boy playin the game. And because us boys belive that the games are not likin intrested by the gurls... cheese_whine

What do you think?? well it's a well known fact that... and several survey's say that... I really don't know lol personally the only thing that I assume about girls and games is that 80% of the girls I run into in MMORPG's are guys and the rest of course are girls lol, besides I friends with some local girls who play video games and TOTALLY destroy me in all figther style games lol

Because normally, a lot of girls don't. But now, gaming is becoming very popular among girls.
But the reason guys don't think of girls as gamers because they're used to girls who only play Final Fantasy and Pac Man and the like. Even in gamer society, girls aren't really known to go for 'guy type' games, like first person shooters.
What annoys me is the guys that assume that even if girls do play videogames, they'll suck at them. Like, there is a chemical imbalance that girls are born with that make them bad at videogames.

Guy assume that girls dont play cause they think all the girls just do make up which not all of them do....and if you want to challage a guy they say nah your a girl you dont know anything then we show them what we got and we beat them

Dark_Fluffy-Chan I guess it really depends on the guy, for me some guys think it werid and some are perfectly fine with it, scream But i hate the ones that think there all that and can beat u at anything, just cause there a guy and your a girl me too
