Ginger crossed her arms, "So I was right before then." She lifted her chin up triumphantly, "It's true, you're not used to being worried over by a commoner." She rolled her eyes, "Well don't allow me put that horrible burden on you." Ginger snapped sarcastically, turning back to the railing and leaning against it.

Elliot stared up at her with a blank expression. "This is the first time someone actually gave me choices... Thank you Ginger. Perhaps we should get to know each other ..."

Ginger facepalmed, "I wasn't literally giving you a choice per say, but sure..you're welcome." She looked down at Elliot with a slight smirk, "And sure if you'd really want to know me." She grumbled, looking down at the sea.

The prince only gave her a bright smile, having nothing else to say. He was quiet for a while, trying to create conversation with her. "You always seem mad," Elliot said suddenly. "You should be happier a d spend your life full of happiness. Afterall, we humans have a short life span... Enjoy life to the fullest. "

Ginger only rolled her eyes, "What do I have to be happy about?" She huffed, not looking up at him, "I was born and raised a poor child, my father died last year, my mom is probably devastated right now, if I ever return to Japan I'll probably be executed for the assumed crime of kidnapping the prince." She blew a strand of hair out of her eyes, "Oh yes, I'm a very happy child." She growled sarcastically, frowning.

Elliot lowered his gaze. "You're right. I'm sorry about your loss... I had no idea of how complicated your life is..." He sighed. "I don't ever want to go back there. You don't want to go back either right? I think I will like America. It'll be different from Japan, but that's okay. America is a diverse country. You could say like a giant pot of all the countries in one place. "

Ginger shrugged, "I guess that's one point of putting it." She flopped her arms over the railing, "It still boggles me as to why the Prince of Japan doesn't want to go back to his jewel studded life."

Elliot looked up at her. "I guess I shouldn't keep secrets from you since we are on a journey together.... Well I never got to explore the world. I want to do that now. So even if I get caught and sent back, I will at least feel satisfied with my life. I will have no regrets when I die later on in life. "

Ginger looked over at him, pulling one arm over, and propping her head up on her elbow on the railing, "I've never been outside of that house unless I was going to school." She sighed, "I guess you and I have a little bit in common when it comes to that. She looked back at the sea, "I wouldn't mind being a princess.." She grumbled, leaning back on the railing again.

Elliot snorted. "You still wouldn't get to make choices in your life. I heard that girls have less freedom than males. Their fathers choose who they marry and often times the husband is arrogant and snobby. I don't think you want that. You dont want people controlling your life right? "

She shrugged, "I'm sure every girl has hoped to be a princess. You make it sound so horrible." She smirked, looking over at him, "But if I would've accepted your 'proposal' I would've been in the same position, huh?" She poked his nose, turning back to the open ocean.

Elliot grinned at her. "I can't help it. The girl who I marry will suffer similar fates. Then they will become queens and have to bear many children to ensure that there is an heir to the throne. If we had triplet, then that would be a problem. But usually it's decided by who comes out first. Do you have wide enough hips to bear children? You can always have the opportunity of becoming a princess and a queen. "
