"Much better than I was, yes." She smiled and looked down for a second, "I appreciate the help you gave me...I shouldn't be so reckless..." She looked at him and smiled, "You really did help me out there..."

"I hope you're right. I don't really know how strong he is...he took some blood from me once, and since then he won't leave me alone." Alian suddenly looked a little distressed for a brief moment before looking at them again, "I'm beginning to wonder what I should do"
"Hmm..." Aittus looked up and started to think that something was seriously up..."I have a bad feeling."

"Heard you the first time," Ibsen smiled at her. He then shifted his weight to his back leg, "So, how's everything else going for you?"

"Well, you can always try to get back to Empyrean as quickly as possible. Or you know. . . Figure out what the hell he wants?" Jocasta suggested. She started heading for the stairs the the main chamber. The one where the large golden golem resided. "Let's get this finished up, yeah?"

"Right" Aittus followed after the female mechanic with his hand in his pocket, "Let's get goin' kid."
"Right" He quickly followed, thinking of what Jo had said...Maybe all he did want was something...but was was the question. He was worried that he'd get slammed into a wall...or maybe worse...but he decided not to thin about it too much more.

"I'm feeling much better so I'm going to get to work and get some training in. My friends are waiting for me." She looked up into the sky, "If I don't get back...they'll all be worried...not that they aren't already...."

The heavy pounding of the golems' movement shook the ground. Exodis, scholars, steel, clay, bronze and the big gold himself. They were scattered all around the gold one, ready to pummel the dungeon fighters into the ground.
Jocasta pursed her lips and looked at the men, "You guys ready?"
The soul bender looked over, "You're going to make them do this alone, aren't you?"
"I've done this routine plenty of times. I figured you boys should have some fun instead of me bombing everything before you get to it," Jocasta smiled. "Besides, if that zerker shows up, at least I can stall him."

"Have any idea on what to look at for your training?" Ibsen asked as he crossed his arms. He looked back up to the sky, "Plenty of people would be worried. Have you seen the number of Empryeans here? It's like back home, only. . . With more Aradians."

"Yeah...it is...As for my training, I was working with my friend on becoming a ranger. He says I have some great skill when it comes to that. So I should pursue that dream..." She scratched her head, embarrassed, "I'm hoping some good will come of me working on it"

Aittus looked at Alian who looked a bit concerned. It was time to show off what he could do to everyone else..
Aittus smiled as he pulled out his crossbows, spinning one in his hand as he smiled, "Alright, let's do it then." He went in for the attack and Alian followed suit.
"I'm sure we can handle this situation!" Alian smiled as they were suddenly attacked by quite a few of the Golems.

"Hoping anything isn't going to get you anywhere," Ibsen frowned. "There's practice makes perfect, but if you're practicing the wrong way then you'll be nowhere near as good as you want to be. Not looking to insult people, but it's the truth."

The golems swarmed in on them. They swung left and right to knock the Empyreans back. They slammed their weights down and even made the attempt to run them over. It was quite a brawl.
Jocasta whistled, "Look at them go."
"You're cruel, Jo," Seifert shook his head and sheathed his blade.

Aittus wasn't going down so easy, slipping just between some of the golems with only a scratch.
Alian on the other hand was too danger prone to dodge the harsh attacks, nearly getting killed a few times...thank god for Loton's potions.... He continued to try to better himself but most times he was too focused on the one ahead of him.
Finally Ai slapped his head...duh! Take out the one controlling them...god how stupid could he get? He ran past a few of his enemies and finally laid eye on the commander and opened fire. It was time for this to end so they could get to the big guy.
As the other two Empyrean continued to fight, they saw the Berserk make his appearance finally, his crimson red hair flowing behind him as his eyes gleamed darkly. He was watching the blond one, but he didn't make his way over to him...not just yet. Yes, he was a full fledged 'zerker...and it looked like his pray was Alian, almost as if he was some sort of interest.

Verla gave a nod, "My father always told me the same. I intend on honoring that factor and working hard...that's why I was where I was....maybe that was a very bad idea..." She looked down, embarrassed, "I'll be continuing my journey though. I intend on being a Ranger like my grandfather was."

Jocasta noticed the berserker enter the room, "That him?" She looked over to the Soul Bender. "Doesn't seem like he's going to charge in there for Alian."
"Well, if he's an opportunist 'zerker. . . The empyrean's screwed." Seifert nodded over to the gunner in question. "He's not doing so great. . Looks like fresh meat."

Ibsen rolled his cigarette to the other side of his mouth, "Then your problem is getting too far ahead of yourself. Skill wise, I really can't tell since I never saw you in action."

She looked a little embarrassed for a moment again and she shook her head, "In over my head haha....yeah" She looked away for a moment and looked over at the sky again, "I'm an alright gunner. My parents died when I was rather young...so I don't really know how to explain myself. I never got the proper training to be a Ranger, my mom was a spit and my dad was a Jack of all trades. So I guess most of my practice came from hand-to-hand thanks to my boss back at home. He never did like to use guns for some reason. He never told me why, but he could win any hand-to-gun fight he was put in."

It was time, now the 'zerker knew that the Empyrean was in trouble when he hit the ground hard from a strike with the golden golem. They noticed him step forward and charge in to the fray without hesitation and pick up the blond Empyrean before he was crushed again. He growled lowly, and that was only a warning. They could see a cold exterior about him. As if defending what was his.
Alian winced when he looked up to see the 'Zerker carrying him. That caused him to struggle a little, confusing the zerker as he looked at him, "Let me go! Put me down right now!"
Aittus looked a little confused as he fired his gun off destroying the puppet master and forgetting the fact that there was a catch...the Golem souls surrounded him, "Oh ********!" He jumped out of the fray as they all tried to hit him at once, "Hey Alian, a little help here?"
"I would if he'd put me down!"

"When it comes to skill, explaining something doesn't cut it for me. Nor do I care where or who you learned it from. The latter just makes your teacher look bad if you're bad yourself," Ibsen frowned. He sighed and looked at the girl, "Alright, look. I'll help you out. . . As long as you don't wind up in that same situation back when we found you in Poison Thunderland. Deal?"

Jocasta facepalmed, "Should we help-"
The soul bender ran straight into the fray. He swung out his katana, creating a wide slash of ghostly energy at the golem souls. The slayer didn't need much of an invitation to help. Being a soul bender, his attack worked rather decently against the spirits. He looked over to Aittus, "You okay?"
The red haired mechanic sighed, "Right. . . . Corona!" She clapped her hands and out came the oh so familiar energy firing flying robot. She ran in towards the golden golem and opened fire with the combination of gattling gun and her corona.

Verla said nothing to the comment. She folded her arms, but said nothing at the comment about her SIC. She gave a nod at the offer, "Deal. I'll do my best to not wind up like that again. Just do me a favor and don't mention my teacher again like that." She looked down briefly before she smiled, "I'll get myself ready."

Aittus laughed, a little embarrassed, "Yeah. Thanks for that."
The 'zerker looked at the group before noticing the blood that ran down the side of the blond's head. He leaned forward, the blond paling a bit as he licked the blood away.
"Okay...um...you need to really quit doing that...it's not sanitary for one, two? It's creeping me out!" He panicked as he looked at him with this curious gaze once more, "Look, I know you can hear me, just...just put me down and stop licking me!"
". . . ." The 'zerker surprisingly listened and put him down watching as he went to help the others.

Ibsen gave a nod and blew out a puff of smoke to the side. Oh man it was going to be a long road and he knew it. As long as he was unaware of what she was actually able and unable to do, the ranger couldn't come up with anything to use as a lesson plan. In any case, either he had to start from scratch or try to fill in the holes that her previous mentor left behind. Both cases were difficult, but the first was a little less frustrating. The second was a guessing game of shooting beans on strings in a barrel and hoping the bullets would hit.

Jocasta was holding off the big boss well on her own. Gattling gun pushed it away, land runners kept it busy and the corona held it back long enough for the next volley of gattling. The engine of her corona started overheat, it was time for a change. "Corona, transform!" The mechanic commanded as she covered her machine with another round of bullets.
The machine whirled and clicked. Motors turned and clamps moved from within until the bulky corona split itself into three rotating energized cores. They spun around her like a shield and zapped the gold golem in front of their creator.
The golem was pushed back from the stun and was forced back even further from the bullet storm. It roared and raised its arms, ready to charge at the mechanic.
"Right. . . About that. . ." The imperial mechanic ran out of the way, throwing a grenade over her shoulder. "Gentlemen! We still have a golem problem! Now is not the time for a honeymoon vacation!"
"JO!" Seifert yelled through his teeth. "Out of the gutter and quit tormenting the poor guys!" He charged in after the golem with a mountainous wheel and a follow up of moonlight slashes.

Verla excused herself and got herself dressed. She reappeared with her hands together and a polite smile on her face, "I'd say we should start now."

"Coming!" The blond haired launcher made his way in with force, his eyes gazing at the golden golem.
As for the 'zerker, he watched from a distance, waiting calmly.
"You could help you know!" Aittus snapped
"????" The 'zerker made his way forward, but he didn't attack just yet.

"Let's go then. To the dragon nests with you," Ibsen motioned his head towards the sky tower. He started walking towards the tall structure with his thumbs hanging off his belt.

The golem continued its rampage. Its health was being whittled away by the gunners and one soul bender.
"I can't die yet!" It roared as it slammed its fists at the male mechanic.
Jocasta frowned as she threw a another round of bullets into the side of the golem. "I don't remember it taking this long the last time I ran in this place."

This was a bit embarrassing to the mechanic as he jumped out of the way and took the chance to change to his revolvers, "Looks like this is a bit harder than I thought!" He frowned as he loaded a clip into the golden golem before coming in with a few landrunners. Today was just a bad day. He'd have to start thinking as he once was if he was going to get out of this alive. He had to think...he picked up a grenade skill...didn't he? He smiled. "I've got it!" He took cover and loaded some of his grenades, strapping them to some of his landrunners, "Sorry babies, but this is a chance to test something out that I wanted to in the guard" He sent them out in a line, feeding a string to them carefully, "You guys might want to move!"
"What?" The blond turned his head and noticed the landrunners...the string...and...wait....were those grenades!? "WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!"
"What? I can't have some fun and blow stuff up???"
"This can't end well!"

"You got it Boss" She followed behind him quickly, trying to keep up with him was a bit of a task since he had longer legs than herself.
