With some difficulty, Lilith managed to get the kitchen door open and set the empty platters into the sink to wash. The feast seemed to be getting slightly tense, and she did not wish to return right away. Instead, she busied herself with washing the dishes and preparing more sweets to replace the ones that Lazorus had demolished.

Knocking softly on the door to the kitchen, Tuomas opened it slightly and peered inside.
"Lilith? Is everything alright?"
The youth walked inside and sat on an empty stool.

Lilith looked over to see the other servant enter and gave a small smile.
"Yes, I'm fine. Just a little embarrassed is all."
She placed some cookies in the oven to bake before leaning against one of the counters,
"I know I haven't served here as long as the others. Am i going to be scolded?"

Shaking his head, the servant stood up and set out a clean platter for the cookies once they were finished.
"No, I don't think that is necessary. You apologized, didn't you? Besides, you didn't commit a serious offense."

Lilith looked up, a little hopeful.
"Really? Oh, I'm so relieved!"
She breathed a heavy sigh of relief and gave Tuomas a hug.
"Thank you so much! You have no idea how worried I was."
The oven timer went off and she jumped to retrieve the cookies before they burned.

The youth smiled once more, and helped her transfer the baked cookies onto the plate.
"Are you going to come back out to the feast, then?"

Lilith shook her head, looking at the other bowls of dough that she had mixed up.
"I still have to make a few more replacements to the pastries that Lazorus ate, but I'll come back as soon as they are ready."
Picking up the fresh batch of cookies, she smiled.
"Could you please take these cookies out there?"

He adjusted his glasses and carefully took the platter.
"Of course."
Nodding politely, he excused himself to head back to the celebration.

Whistling a simple tune, Malphas walked through the kitchen giving Lilith a wave before disappearing into the kitchen's basement.

Lilith had just finished putting the pastries on some clean plates when Malphas walked through. The servant shook her head with a sigh.
"That guy and his wine. It's a wonder that he's still able to stand."
Picking up the plates, she made her way back to the Feast.

Tsuki had tured back into a cat and fell asleep in the corner.

Lilith set Rosalie down on one of the chairs in the kitchen, carefully checking her wounds from the ruined festival.
"Can you hear me?"
The servant's worry increased, and she retrieved a damp washcloth to place on the girl's forehead.

Rosalie heard a voice in the distance. She didn't want to open her eyes. Something felt terribly wrong. Her neck throbbed painfully, but it was nothing compared to the lump in her throat. The smell in the room told her she was in the kitchen...how did I get here..She sat still while the past events flooded her thoughts. Her heart skipped a beat when she recalled Katsu's face. "Katsu!" She screamed, bolting up and almost falling off the table in the process. Rosalie's eyes scanned the room but he was not there. She looked to Lilith, "Lilith.." Her voice was filled with worry.

Jumping at the suddenness of the voice, the servant looked over to Rosalie and carefully helped her sit up.
"Be careful, you have a really bad injury. Don't want to pass out again, do you?"
Lilith bit her lip, knowing what was worrying Rosalie so much. Still, she wasn't sure if she could bring herself to tell her what had happened.
