 In the kitchen, Lilith quickly put away the groceries that she had bought and breathed a sigh of relief. The servant wasn't quite positive what was happening in the Dining Hall, but the dangerous aura was enough to tell her not to interfere. She pondered whether or not to still make a cake for the newly arrived guests and finally decided that it would help to steady her nerves. The vampire quickly got the ingredients out and began mixing the batter.

 The timer finally went off, signaling the end of the baking process. Lilith carefully removed the cake from the oven and sat it on the counter to cool. She smiled, satisfied with how it turned out as the scent of chocolate wafted through the castle.

*Faith walked in from her chambers trying to find something to do* "Is it okay I stay here and watch you cook? Wow...that's really sweet."

Lilith blinked, but turned and smiled.
"Oh, welcome!"
The servant bowed politely.
"You are most welcome to watch if you wish. Thank you. I'm making a cake in honor of all the guests arriving here."

"What is that fantastic aroma?" Itotia said sticking her head into the doorway. She spotted the cake and smiled. "That looks beautiful," She said to Lilith while rubbing a thin angry line on her cheek that soon faded. "Do you mind if I stay in here for a while? That damned dragon of mine snores," She laughed lightly, nodding to Faith in acknowledgement.

Lilith jumped up and down in glee before politely bowing.
"Please do. The guests are always welcome anywhere in this castle."
She got out the materials to make a chocolate ganache frosting while the cake was cooling.
"It is such a delight to have visitors. You all must have traveled a very long way and had so many exciting adventures."

Itotia laughed happily before leaning against the counter. "You remind me of someone I used to know," She said smiling while watching. She ran her hand through her to try and tame it before giving up and pulling it back into a bun.

"Really?" The vampire smiled as she began to frost the cake. "I am honored!" She worked very carefully as she frosted the cake, making sure that everything was perfect. Taking a step back, Lilith admired the cake.  She paused a moment to look around before speaking in a low whisper. "You haven't seen a round bat flying around here, have you?"

"No..." Itotia said stepping closer to the cake and examining it. "Beautiful job. I was never one for the 'hand' arts...music was easier to practice with my schedule," She said smiling.

Lilith smiled.
"I really hope that everyone enjoys it. It isn't easy to find good chocolate around here, and I didn't think that anyone would enjoy Rosencroix Blood Cake. It takes awhile to get used to."
She cleaned up the mess in the kitchen cheerfully.
"I never tried playing music before, but it is always very pretty to hear. Did you see the Music Hall? We try to keep it well stocked with instruments and sheet music."

"There is a music hall?" Itotia asked, very interested. "I didn't realize that..." She trailed off and thought about how little she did know about the castle itself.

"Yes, there are a great many number of rooms in the castle. If you enjoy music, I would recommend it."

"Well, I need some help to carry this into the Dining Room if you don't mind."
She looked at the floor sheepishly.
"I think I may have made it a little too heavy."
