It is literally impossible for us to remain relatively sane person and spend every second of our lives glorifying God. Not because we aren't trying, but because there are natural (and some could be unnatural, depending on how you look at it, I guess) parts of human life that do not include religion at all. Besides that, I don't think God would want us to spend every waking moment on Him. We need to spend some time on helping ourselves and the world around us every now and then, and if we're only doing that for God, then that's called an obsession and, looking at it from a psychological standpoint, very unhealthy. Do you do good deeds because the Lord wants you to, or because you like seeing people happy and making the world a tiny bit better in a small way? Do you try to better yourself because the Lord wants you to, or because you genuinely want to become a better person? Etc. You realize that's glorifying God, right? sweatdrop God wants us to be healthy and do what's right as well. The definition of glorify is to exalt, or give glory or praise to. Praising God isn't just singing. Worship is not just singing. Giving glory to God is forming a lifestyle that He would be proud of. And to be quite honest with you, as a Christian, if you don't do it for God, why do it? When you realize that everything you do doesn't have to be about the way YOU feel or what feels good to YOU, then you might understand a bit better where some people on this thread are coming from. And, pray tell, how would a Christian become a better person without the Word of God in their life? (I'm sorry if I sound too accusatory, a bit grumpy lol..) Cerulean_Paladin They are Drawings and Cartoons! Really!?!?! Really!?!?! If you think something so trivial can influence you then you are the with the problem not the show or drawing. If a person's faith is so weak that such things could influence them... then that is just sad. this. also, in the first video, he blatantly condemns homosexuality, which makes me believe he's a rather narrow-minded one.

ok the thing alot of you aren't getting is that anime is an art style if you don't like anime with gods and demons don't watch (or read) them its like saying you hate music cause afew bands suck its moronic. P.s. don't get all huffy cause there are gods in the story alot of stories have gods in it just don't take it so seriously ok :3 p.s.s. how can this be evil?

True, characters in anime and manga may be demons, worship false idols, and may have sexual themes, but in the end saying that not watching anime because of said things is like saying not to read or watch Star Trek or Star Wars because they aren't Christian.
Me myself, I have found anime very interesting. I was even raised on it. But let me give you a story.
I was on onemanga reading manga before the site was sadly closed. But I saw that in the advertisements, there was actually Christian manga. And I agree with what some of you said. It's just an art style. I'm a Christian. My values are different than others though. I believe that God made us with our own personalities and interests because He wanted diversity. After the Fall, I believe He tried to help us learn from our mistakes. I believe He doesn't really want us to fear Him, but instead to know His power and rejoice in the wonderful life He gave us.
I believe He gave the mangaka wonderful ideas for these stories and art because He knew that, although it could be used to a bad extent, some forms of it could also preach His word. I believe that in the end, He wants us to tell interesting tales such as these and create such artwork so it can be manipulated into His word. I believe He did this so maybe we could find something more in our life and use it to help others find Him. If it wasn't for anime, I wouldn't be in this forum right now telling you this. Now thinking about it like that, is anime so bad?

Anime is entertainment. Just like there are "bad" or "dirty" TV shows, movies, music, books, and websites doesn't mean that TV, movies, music, and the internet are evil. Anime is a style of TV show and movie, manga is a style of (comic) book. The end.

Listen, anime is not a single thing, like it's all the same. It is a general term that covers many, many shows out there. There are several volger and horrible shows out there that speak of gods and demons and homosexuallity. But there are other innocent, harmless shows out there. God doesn't want us to fill our eyes and minds with earthly images. Watching the tamer shows, I believe, are fine, just as long as it does not engulf your life and become an idol.

A.because its a cartoon it dose not have to be 100% accurate B.maybe in japan they think demons are like this or it would be cool C.can you tell us what a demon is cause i kinda know but not 100% sure
