*ignores all the B&B//Toki drama (side note: you stole my hairstyle, B&B stare )
Anyway.. the last British election was last year in May; G. Galloway trashed the senate when they claimed that he had dealing with Iraqi oil (he was like "my name was pulled off a list which included the late Pope John Paul II, and the president of the African Council of nations" xD); Blair is more commonly known as Bliar (I have a t-shirt which says 'BLIAR' across it ^^) and Ozzie politics sounds.. scary. x__x;;

Er? Since when did Ozzie Osbourne get involved in politics? stare Niph means Aussie Politics, which I agree is kind of scary. Last week all the local newspapers were copmmenting about Howard's decade in power, and how Labor hardly stands of anything at all. In the near future I doubt there's any political figure strong enough to dethrone the current PM. Two decades of Howard, whaddaya think? xd

Of course. Just like Bush. 3nodding A warmongering dictator who keeps his populace under control by maintaining a hype-active inflating economy so that everyone is too busy buying stuff; whilst slowly curbing all political freedoms. What do you think the chances are of Bush trying to change the US constitution so that he can run for a third term, or a fourth, like FDR did?

Nah, Bush would never make it. He's going out, definitely. The US trade deficit is somewhere in the region of $70billion now, apparently..
TWO DECADES of the same president?! o_0;;
The Labour gov't here is slowly trying to curb individual liberties as well.. but it's being met with resistance. It's hilarious when a bill goes through the Commons and then just gets chucked back by the Lords repeatedly.. xD
@yalie - eek that would be really scary.

It's a shame UK will never get a respectable government. All they get is the same. Different face, but same actions. All they do is being corrupt, accepting bribes, making no real reforms, not increasing the life standsrt of their population, negligible increase in social securities. (Maybe not at all). Labour party is as right wing as Mr. Radical-Right himself.
And BLIAR doesn't keep his promises, except those that worsen the situation even more

@789 - it is, but we're trying to make a point. Work it out ^^
@Kenz - the Labour gov't isn't.. terrible. I mean, I don't agree with many of their policies, but at least they're holding the economy steady. And I can assure you that bribing does not happen in the UK - at least not.. openly. Of course some companies 'donate' money to certain political parties.. but apparently that's legal.
Labour is getting v right-wing; even some of the Tories were worried that Mr Bliaiar's policies are far too authoritarian.
I think, in British politics, we've given up on politicians keeping their promises. To be fair, it's not just Blair (ha, that rhymes) - the Tories and LDs aren't likely to be much better..
..but at least we'll get Brown soon, instead of Blair. Should be a change for the better.

I'm waiting for either the next presidential election to oust Bush or go to college and get the hell out of the country... but it seems like every country has a giant load of problems.
