::Screening Time:: Character: VipraPowers: Poison Tail- Quite hard to be seen as it is the same color as her dress, Vipra's tail has a red, blade-like edge that is exceedingly poisonous; moving her tail about, she can deal a poisonous slice to any exposed flesh. Attract- This ability allows Vipra to 'put on the red light' as it were; to charm the opposite gender and cause them to let their guard down. Will only work on males. Traits: Shed skin- If Vipra finds her body in a sorry state due to injury or illness, upon finding a quiet place, she can undergo a process where her old skin actually separates from her body and reveals fresh, new skin underneath. This serves as a sort of rejuvenation for her body and often takes the wounds and germs with it. Due to her delicate skin, as opposed to a snake's harder scales, the shedding process often takes a bit more than a day, leaves her completely vulnerable, and doing it more than twice a month will wear her out. Not to mention it makes her look, in her and everyone's opinion, positively HIDEOUS. Anything else: On a side note, her nails, though sharp and scary-looking, are not poisonous, but she does like to act as though they are in order to distract from the bigger threat of her tail. Just thought I would point that out should you see her in RP making like her nails are poisonous too. XD Pass. Keep in mind that Poison Tail only has a 10% chance of poisoning. And I changed Captivate to Attract.

::Screening Time:: Character: ZacharyPowers: Ink Manipulation- Zachary can use the ink coursing in his body to do many various tasks. He can create clothing with it (his vest), and much like sweat, can cause it to secrete from anywhere on his body, the easiest being from the tips of his fingers. He can form things like tentacles with the ink, but being little more than liquid, they wouldn't be able to grab and lift anything, and if whipped about would cause about as much chaos as a paint splatter. If he is able to concentrate well enough, he can create a 'living' figure from the ink outside his body; his favorite of which is a small dragon about the size of a cat, which moves about by his will. The ink itself is thicker on the outside of his body, almost like freshly melted cheese; on the inside it's almost like water. He can also control just how thick the ink is when he is shaping it. Any ink that he projects out by flicking it, hurling it, or causing it to leave him can eventually ooze back to him and be absorbed into him. Ink absorption- Possibly his strongest ability, with concentration Zachary can turn his entire body into ink and let himself be absorbed into anything that will soak the ink up, like a sponge or a pile of newspaper. He is currently working on a way to remain solid enough to become a mobile puddle of ink, where he can ooze his way into cracks and crevices when no such absorbing materials are available. When danger has passed, he can reform himself into his normal shape, but requires a bit fo rest for his blood-ink to cleanse itself from any debris it might have picked up. Traits: ~ Due to the ink in his body not being hot like blood, Zachary's body temperature is abysmally low; a handshake would feel like putting your hand on refrigerated metal. ~ Instead of blood, ink flows inside his veins, hence his ghostly pallor. His body can efficiently clean the ink like blood is cleaned, but aside from that little is yet known about how the rest of his organs are functioning with the substitute. It is thought that his heart either does not beat at all or beats much more slowly, causing his metabolism to be likewise slow. ~ Unless he is using his ink absorption and becoming wholly ink, Zach is constantly oozing ink from some part of his body, giving him the appearance of constantly bleeding. He has a tendency to drip, but he can always call the ink back to him and not leave any trace of his passing. Anything else: Let me know if anything is too much? ^^ Denied. Two powers max. Everything else looks fine. So either do some tweaking or ditch one of the powers.Corrected by eliminating an extra power; now awaiting re-approval.

::Screening Time::Character: Adi Nagini (dragonair gijinka) Powers: Development of her powers will be a continual and ongoing process. "Practice moves" of each will show up in roleplay, they will be smaller examples of the later power that will have no usable effect. = Twister. = This is a damage-dealing dragon-type power with the ability to strike up to two opponents with 100% accuracy and the possibility of causing them to Flinch (no action for one turn). Dragonair's tail crystals glow as it whips its tail around and it creates a tornado. Adi's "practice twisters" will be very small, about the size of her hand, and usually caused during rare tantrums, and if they hit anyone will barely be felt and break apart instantly. In the unlikely event that she attempts to control and utilize this ability in battle, the twisters will grow in size and ferocity with her skill level (which has a high potential because of the STAB/same-type attack bonus). = Dragon Dance. = This is a dragon-type power that affects one's self only, a vigorous dance that boosts Attack and Speed stats. Adi likes to dance as a hobby and to unwind, so this is something that she would work up to with time, but consistently, unlike Twister. I think of tai chi and Waterbending (Avatar: the Last Airbender) on crack when I picture Dragon Dance. Eventually she is going to realize that she can focus and boost her own power/chi/ki while performing this wild dance, but normally her dancing will be slow and fluid, and therefore have no effect. Traits:= Dragon-type. = - Weak against ice and dragon; resistant to fire, water, grass, electric. In addition to the rare battle situation, she will be susceptible to the cold but otherwise feel an affinity for nature in general (drawn to/at peace with green grass and bodies of water), have a certain resistance to heat/hot weather, and electrocution. - Dragonair lives in caves near bodies of water. Adi prefers fresh water and feels drawn to it. Given an opportunity, she loves to swim. = Base stats. = - As a pseudo-legendary, dragonair all have high base stats, evenly distributed except for Attack, which is even higher. Even as a novice, she will land a heavy punch, be able to evade and protect herself a little better than others, within reason. Outside of battle, these are all going to lend to her ethereal quality but not give her any noticeable advantages. = Aura and Weather. = Grouped together because references make these powers seem "godlike" and I want to dispel that while drawing a connection between her two powers. - Dragonair's "strange aura" reference is expressed as a calm but powerful meditative power in Adi. This presence of self and self-confidence, lack of fear, all lend to this feeling of "power". It also has the side-effect of a "living in the present" attitude that leads to seeming amnesiac or slowness in reaction to others. It also manifests in her eventual development of the Dragon Dance. - Dragonair are said to control the weather. Obviously this can't be the case with Adi. Though she is attracted to water, her specialty leans more toward the atmosphere itself (Twister) and controlling her personal energies or aura. = Crystals. = - The orbs at her throat and tail glow when in use (see Twister) and are said to be able to be used as a light source. Maybe with practice she will be able to control this like a lantern but for now they will only glow when in use. = Abilities. = - Shed Skin: "There is a 30% chance at the end of each turn that Shed Skin will cure the user of a non-volatile status ailment." and "Shed Skin has no effect outside of battle." To me this seems like a literal shedding of skin. Anything that harms her like acid, poison, burn, microbes, etc that absorbs through the skin can be sloughed off like any reptile's shed skin. I'm thinking that once the effects are felt, her body naturally wants to protect itself by sloughing off the skin, but not before some damage is done. - Marvel Scale: "Marvel Scale raises the Defense stat by 50% if the Pokémon with this Ability is suffering from a status ailment." When poisoned or drugged, the strength of her defense is heightened drastically. To me it sounds like an instinctive "hiding in the shell" type of reaction that will give her time to reflect on her situation a little before reacting. Anything else: Can't think of anything else. Just let me know if something doesn't line up or make sense and I'll try to fix it! :3 Pass.

::Screening Time:: Character: Ingway FaesonPowers: Telekinesis - Capable of moving objects and people with psychic power. He's cultivated this ability for some time, so he's particularly skilled with it; however, targets larger than himself require much more effort to move. If Ingway strains himself too much while using it, he might suffer from headaches, nosebleeds, nausea, or unconsciousness. Telepathy - Shares a mental link with his sister Anesha. He can speak with her telepathically whenever he wishes, but it is unknown if he's capable of speaking to others like this as well -- he's never exactly tried. Invisibility - Bends and refracts the light around him to appear invisible. The special material of his clothes is also affected by this and disappears with him. It seems he can keep this up indefinitely, but it requires concentration and a calm state of mind -- if hit or agitated, he cannot sustain it. Luster Purge - Shoots a blinding beam of damaging light at a target. Ingway normally releases this attack from the palms of his hands, but he's also capable of unleashing it through his mouth or his eyes as well. It seems to be a very draining technique to use; Ingway can use Luster Purge a maximum of five times without rest. Traits: Flight - Capable of both flying and hovering with his powerful wings. Since arriving at the Asylum, he rarely does either; at most he uses his wings to quickly propel himself over short distances. Super Speed - Incredibly agile. Combined with his invisibility power, he's capable of moving and seemingly disappearing in the blink of an eye. Dragon Resistance - Resistant against electric, grass, water and fire attacks. Ice Weakness - Has an increased vulnerability to ice attacks. Lygophobia - Has an increased vulnerability to attacks that draw upon darkness or shadows. Ingway tries to use Luster Purge's light to counter this. Anything else: Telekinesis and Luster Purge are my 'move' entries; everything else is taken from Latios' stated abilities on Bulbapedia. For Luster Purge, I like to think gijinka can get more creative with how they use their moves as they grow more experienced, hence the 'hands, eyes, and mouth' thing. And, as with all my gijinka, all of their Pokemon type weaknesses still apply, even if types like Bug and Ghost are hard to reasonably describe as elements when applied to non-gijinka patients. But let me know if I went overboard! Pass.

::Screening Time:: Character: Nicanor KatsarosPowers: Confusion - A weak telekinetic force. Nicanor doesn't consider this a very good attack -- it isn't strong enough to do real damage should it hit a target, feeling more like a light slap than anything else. Instead, he uses Confusion on his carpet while standing on it to make it levitate a couple of inches above the ground. He can sustain levitation for a few seconds to a full minute, at most. He finds that this makes him look impressive, but he only does so occasionally -- as he is now, repeated uses of Confusion give him headaches. Incinerate - Nicanor's favored method of attack... not that he can really fight with it. Currently, he can only cloak one hand (his left) in fire, and very briefly. If he manages to make contact, the flames are hot enough to sting. Creating fire is less tiring than using Confusion, but he can only produce a fistful of flames at once, and only in his left hand. Traits: Victory Star - Nicanor's whole body seems to radiate energy. A small amount is shared (sometimes unwillingly) with whomever he touches. His energy does not actually heal wounds, but slightly increases vigor and may even sharpen senses for a short period of time. Right now, it feels rather like a warm shot of caffeine. Flight - Light enough to fly with his butt wings tails. Fever Pitch - Resistant to heat. His body temperature constantly feels like he's running a fever, and it grows even hotter when he creates fire. Water Weakness - Has an increased vulnerability to water attacks. Partial Earth Weakness - Has an increased vulnerability to attacks that draw upon rocks or soil, but is strong against moves that draw upon grass or plants. Lygophobia - Has an increased vulnerability to attacks that draw upon darkness or shadows. Nicanor tries to use his fire's light to counter this. Anything else: Confusion was tricky to define... the games and the anime seem to portray it differently, so I'll just assume it can be used in different ways, and a weak form of telekinesis is currently how Nicanor utilizes it. As he gets older, it will probably be used more like its name implies. Victory Star is my attempt to combine Victini's in-game ability and its Pokedex stated ability of sharing energy, since... 'raising your allies' accuracy' is kind of weird to describe as a trait.

::Screening Time::Character: Evron Stone (pansear gijinka) Powers: = Acrobatics. = A flying-type physical attack that strikes with 100% accuracy and can affect any allies or foes; more damage is dealt if the target is holding no item. My thought is that he practices martial arts so this power will manifest and develop as he masters his studies. So early on the possibility of injuring friends and "the wrong enemy" (even severely) will be greater (and decrease with mastery). = Incinerate. = AKA Complete Burn. A special fire-type attack that strikes all foes with 100% accuracy; enhanced damage via STAB; burns any held items but is affected by berries (so for Asylum, I assume items in general?) that protect against fire. Traits: = Pansear traits. = - Strengths: resistant against bug, steel, fire, grass, and ice. - Weaknesses: ground, rock, and water. - Base stats: generally even, with higher speed stat. - When angry, a pansear's head (hair?) is known to burn hotly. He's not going to actually cook food on his head though he may develop a hobby of cooking when angry. Will seek residence with heat source (fireplace!). - Natural habitat is inside volcanoes, so resistant to heat, low-oxygen and sulfur contamination in air. = Gluttony. = Pansear's ability. "Gluttony causes the Pokémon to eat a held berry at 50% health as opposed to the usual 25% health." Since we don't utilize berries in the Asylum, I'm thinking this trait makes him eat when he's feeling run-down or injured, and may develop dependencies (or a weight problem) if he isn't careful. He may keep food on-hand at all times. Anything else:- Pansear is said to be part of the "see/hear/speak no evil" maxim, so this will become a plot device (may be deaf to some undecided degree). <9 Aug: will be deaf in one ear.> - I guessed that his tail is prehensile based on the fact that he seems more "new world" monkey than "old world"/ape but I am happy to change it if needed. - Sources from Bulbapedia; Three Wise Monkeys wiki article; "pan," "simian," and "monkey" wiki articles (possibly a couple related ones, new/old world monkey articles?). Edited 9 August, under Anything Else (deaf in one ear).

::Screening Time::Character: Lilac Schwanhild (mismagius gijinka) Powers: = Lucky Chant. = AKA Good Luck Charm. Normal-type move that prevents critical hits against all allies for five turns; speed and stats are not affected and no damage is done. Mismagius chants and the gems at its neck begin to glow, then "tentacles" come forth and restrain the opponent (anime). = Astonish. = A damage-dealing ghost-type move (STAB) with 100% accuracy and a 30% chance of causing the opponent (and/or nearest ally) to flinch/cringe if mismagius attacks first. It is an attack that includes a sudden shout (and like in the anime they may also make a scary face). Traits: = Levitation. = Mismagius naturally floats (I estimate) a few inches to a foot off the ground; ground-type moves are ineffective. I think the more consciously Lilac focuses on levitating the more she can control it. If she does not concentrate, she may bob midair. For example, while she does not require a bed, she prefers one because in sleep her hair and clothing would "sweep" the floor or become tangled in anything else around her. Under certain situations she would be able to boost a jump's height by a short distance. I think impact/collision/etc is still possible but with less damage, since this is a trait, not an ability (not sure on this though). = Chanting. = Mismagius are known to cause headaches when it chants. When she chants or chatters to herself, her voice takes on a shrill tone that understandably causes headaches. It is said that mismagius chants can cause hallucinations so I think that when Lilac becomes very upset or focused, it can give others a sense of vertigo - I think anything more would have to be considered a power, but I don't know if this should be a result of her shrill voice or as an after-effect of the chant itself? Anything else:(references from Bulbapedia, though I tried to find vids on what the powers actually look like) Super fangirl abilities! As a normal girl, she possessed the 'superhuman' traits of a pokemon fangirl. Hyper, obsessive, trivia nerd, etc. I'm only sorta joking. She also exhibited undiagnosed mental disorder(s) prior to experimentation that may have been heightened by her interest and new-found abilities, thus will require further study.

::Screening Time:: Character: CamdenPowers:Heat Crash: "The user slams its target with its flame-covered body. The more the user outweighs the target, the greater the damage." Flame Charge: "The user cloaks itself with flame and attacks. Building up more power, it raises the user's Speed." Traits: Tepig is nimble and so Camden finds that he's quite skilled at dodging. Anything else: Nope. ::Screening Time:: Character: SibylPowers: None. Traits: As a spirit, Sibyl is drawn to areas of high emotion. For example, if a patient is experiencing a great deal of emotion, most likely negative, Sibyl has a stronger presence and will appear as clear as any other patient. Otherwise she wanders as a form that flickers in and out of focus, like a brief glitch in reality. Because she is a vengeful spirit, manifesting in an area of high aggressive energy/emotion can make Sibyl more restless and agitated. As a result, poltergeist like activity may occur. Anything else: Nope.

::Screening Time:: Character: Shu AinamePowers:Hovering - can hover above the ground enough so she does not need to walk. Cannot run while doing this and is not as fast as she is while walking. She can only hoover for three hours a day. Bloody Effects - Shu has the power to gain one ability, randomly, from the person she recieves blood from. The more blood she drains, the longer she is allowed to use the ability. Traits: Vampirism - Uses blood as a food source and energy to keep her alive. Extreme Speed - She is skilled in running extremely fast, faster than a cheetah, this is the only trait that gives her power over others and not effected by anything other than hunger. Fire Weakness - Weakens when near fire, and takes extra damage when hit by fire. Sunbaked - She burns in the sun light, as if fire is covering her body when she gets hit by it. Cold Blooded - Due to her unique physique, she's terribly cold, but her body is not like stone. Nobody - She does not have a shadow. Impenetrable - She cannot go into someone elses room without permission, but after given permission once she is allowed to enter and leave as she wills. Anything else: She likes blood.

::Screening Time::Character: Eric O'ConnorPowers: N/A Traits: Scent Check: Eric can track things via their smell, his sense of which has been particularly enhanced. Of course, this has its downside when living in a moldy, dank, old castle-asylum thing. Low Light Vision: Bah, who needs light? Darkness works just fine when your eyes are this good! Pack Mentality: Eric really works well in a group. Be he a leader or follower, he's just eerily good at group dynamics. Anything else: Can't think of anything at the moment!

::Screening Time:: Character: Grisha Belobog (Absol Gijinka) Powers:Sword Dance~ "Swords Dance (Japanese: つるぎのまい Swords Dance) is a non-damaging Normal-type move introduced in Generation I." In the game this increases attack points. But I was thinking of it being more of a skill that Grisha can dance with bladed weapons. He has a natural graze. Perish Song~ "Perish Song (Japanese: ほろびのうた Perish Song) is a non-damaging Normal-type move introduced in Generation II." IN the game after three turns from hearing Perish song, the attacker will faint. Grisha has a voice that can be used to sooth or cause someone to pass out. Traits: Detect~ "Detect (Japanese: みきり All-Seeing) is a non-damaging Fighting-type move introduced in Generation II." Even though in the game this move is use to detect and avoid damage, I was thinking it being more to the fact that Absol can detect natural disasters. So Grisha would be able to sense storms and other natural disasters. Future Sight~ "Future Sight (Japanese: みらいよち Future Sight) is a damage-dealing Psychic-type move introduced in Generation II." Instead of dealing damages two moves later like in the game, I was thinking it is used with Grisha's ability to detect disasters. He tries to warn people of the disaster but often causing trouble or damages to those he tries to warn. Leer~ "Leer (Japanese: にらみつける Glare) is a non-damaging Normal-type move introduced in Generation I." Used to lower an opponent's defense. Grisha has a natural habbit to shoot people menacing looks. Used mainly as a defensive because most people blame him for the natural disasters he detects. Strength~ Because Absols have the highest attack of any non evolutionary and not legendary pokemon, he is nautral very strong. He can hit very hard when provoked. Justified~ "Justified will raise the user's Attack stat one level when hit by any Dark-type moves. Unlike other abilities with immunity to certain typed moves, the user will still receive damage from the attack. Justified will raise Attack one level for each hit of a multi-hit move like Beat Up." Grisha is a rather pacifist type of person but when provoked he can increase his attack strength. Attack rather than Defense~ Absols learn the most moves other than legendary pokemon ( 78 ). So when in a fight Grisha will be mostly attacking rather than defending. He will attack with slashes and in a morn animalistic manner. Most likely dropping to all fours when fighting. Kind of like a bezerker. Velvet skin~ His skin as a soft layer or very think velvety fur. Anything else: Normally Grisha will not use his skills for fighting. He is the type that only fights if he has too. Please let me know if there are any toubles.

::Screening Time::Character: Edith GodholdPowers: * Empathy Edith has managed to develop a low level psionic ability with Empathy. With it he can sense the surface emotions of those who are not consciously guarding their feelings. He does not possess the ability to discern the reason behind why a person is feeling a certain way beyond educated guesses. * Alchemy Traits: * Color Blind Edith can only see in black, white, or shades of gray. He has been like this since birth. * Alchemy Edith possesses knowledge from years of devoted study outside the asylum in concern to ancient Alchemy practices. With the right equipment and resources, he could continue his practice in the form of creating mundane medicines, poisons, and even a few combinations that clearly have mystical elements to them. His knowledge and skill is limited only to the creation of salves, potions, and balms. (IE- A balm that when rubbed over the eyes allows the user to see in the dark for a limited period of time. A potion when spilled on the ground temporarily coats it in ice. A salve that when rubbed on the feet allows the wearer to walk with complete silence for a hundred paces) Anything else: I am unsure if Alchemy counts as a power or trait, considering that Edith could teach the skill to someone if he wasn't a power hoarding little git.

::Screening Time::Character: Giala DaliPowers: Aura Sphere: If Giala focuses, she can create a "ball" of mental energy that she can unleash on an attacker, knocking them back and generally giving them a devil of a headache. Roar of Time: Giala can create an unearthly, piercing shriek that disorients and causes brief physical pain. It's more than just loud; it's downright bizarre. She uses this to create a diversion while she attempts to get away from her tormentors. Traits: N/A Anything else: I changed up her attacks' descriptions a little bit from the way they work in the game. She's a gajinka, not a god. ::Screening Time::Character: Ofelia MatsyaPowers: Waterfall- "The user charges the foe at an awesome speed. It can also be used to climb a waterfall." Megahorn- "Utilizing its tough and impressive (hah!) horn, the user rams into the foe with no letup." Posting in this thread because I've just posted a quest thread that can be found here. So I'll just copy and paste everything from there to here. ::Screening Time::Character: Isaac Dier Powers: - Supernatural strength/senses/healing (3 times stronger/faster than humans), I thought it was okay to link together as "one" power since they sort of come in the supernatural package. - When he bites people/animals his saliva acts as a sort of "drug" that makes them stop struggling and forget what's actually going on. Traits: - Due to being undead, is resistant to most diseases, illnesses, and poisons. - Capable of enduring lower temperatures easier than humans. - Not susceptible to most traditional vampire weaknesses (religious items, garlic, dying immediately in sunlight, etc). - Nocturnal, so more sharp/alert and has improved reflexes during nighttime, as well as night vision (also is generally more content). Anything else: I'm completely open to working with the owners if I need to re-work any power or trait. Just let me know :3
