Victor mumbled something in korean as he shook himself wake. "What series is it? An X?" he asked. The programmer got off his mattress and dropped himself into the computer chair. He turned on the desk light and the computer to see the email. The last thing he needed was to kill his eyes even more than he should. All those late night programmings weren't doing him any good.

Satsujin watched as Rave sent the pictures of the E-series over to his friend He was curious as to what was going on, but it was something that he didn't understand either.
"X-series was the attacker, E-series is the victim. Just look at the damage done to Kai....He's like a brother to me Victor...you've gotta do something to fix him. Oh, also, you may wanna bring Renee with you. I promised her that I would show her around...I wasn't expecting Kai to fall like this..."

Victor looked over the data and had a bewildered look on his face. "What the flying ********?" he said as he looked through the damage report. "I've never seen damage like this on any series. Physical damage shouldn't screw up the E Series this bad. Those guys are pretty much tanks when it comes to stuff like this. Whoever that X Series is, they probably know the Es from the inside out. I'll see what I can dig up on the E Series, in the mean time, try to get a regulator to replace his missing drive core.
"The E series is a bit particular about their drives. The common regulators won't allow them to fight as effectively as they would with their own specialized drives. I can't recommend much else until I get there myself. . . . And manage to stay awake."

"We'll handle that, I'm sure" He smiled, "Alright, I've only got a common for now, but this is going to be hell." A pause, "These X-series models.....what do you know about them? And why the hell do they want the secondary Core from the E-series, Kai of all people...I wasn't able to protect him..."

"X Series are infiltrators. They come in, take what they want and get out before anyone notices. Though, since this X attacked Kai in broad day light they're probably desperate. Most likely for parts in this case. E series is probably more likely to have the parts they need compared to the rest of the series in the military," Victor explained. "Also, I don't know if you haven been checking the news lately, but a lot of Es are getting taken out of commission. Kai is not the first and probably not the last to be attacked like this."

"E-series might be in some serious trouble, but it's a little to often that it's happening...I need to round up the Vocaloids...All E-series..." Man was it hard being a mechanic in a world of -loids, but it was his job, and jobs tend to keep him from the things he likes, "See you soon" He hung up and turned around starting with the Common Regulator for his systems. He also did another diagnosis test on Kai to make sure that after he put in the system, at least he could function.

Victor continued to read through the data. He opened up the long dormant Anubis AI program that was tucked away on his desktop. He began typing in some commands for the AI to respond to and then went back to work, as usual.
The AI itself was a remnant of Victor's diving days. Anubis was still intact and did as told. He found began scanning for files relating to the X and E series of the military-loids.

The diagnosis came back with a some what satisfactory result. Most of Kai's systems would be offline due to the incompatible regulator. However, the E Series would be able to function normally, though only with the basics of his programming online. Movement, speech, learning, some combat protocols would be still accessible. Everything else from intermediate-advanced combat protocols to advanced sensory arrays would be offline.

He sighed and started to fix up Kai's plates and at least cover the hole that was there. He looked over his shoulder atfter, "Kai, reboot"
Satsu was sitting in one of the chairs silently waiting for Kai to reboot. He was somewhat worried and Kai was like his brother...something he never had.

Systems were starting to recover, one by one. However, after a self-diagnostics, the Military-loid found several of his systems offline and unusable. At the very least, he wouldn't be in a data limbo. After what felt like a few moments on eternity, Kai finally rebooted.
His eyes, still gray, motions were still in-step without much personality and his face, still expressionless. The E Series looked over at Rave and Satsujin, "Where is the x series?"
Ah, voice still that dull monotone. Nothing much has changed aside from the system limits.

Rave let out a sigh and looked over at Kai, "You're not going anywhere, Kai..." He turned fully toward him, "Now listen, I know you want to go after the X-series, but there is still loads you need to handle...If didn't know any better, I'd say that you were dead set, as usual..." A pause, "Plus, your systems aren't up to par right now...we need to get you the right components before you decide to do that. I have a specialist on Military-loids coming here, so until then, you're just gonna have to wait, got it?"
It wasn't like Rave to put his foot down like this, he was actually very stern this time, not like other times. Obviously, he was worried about him, scared even. He looked concerned, worried....almost like an elder brother this time around and not just Kai's mechanic or friend. He felt like Kaito for a moment when he was scolding Kai over shooting friends.

It was a bit before Kai responded, "Understood. Then I shall make defensive counter measures against the X-Series." Ah, his data processing was slower than it should be. Either way, he still seemed set on the X, even if he wasn't to be going after them.

Raven sighed and shook his head as he turned when his older brother entered the room, "So, what's the damage...?"
"I had to call in a favor from Victor. There's no way I can fix him on my own."
"I see he's running now at least."
"Yeah, Victor made some suggestions. Now He and Renee are coming into town to visit....s**t" He began to chew on his thumb, "I've got to get some rooms together...so that they have somewhere to sleep...shoot, and the school, we have to call the school and tell them what's going on...AUGH! I hate all of this work!" Rave began to run around the house, trying to figure somethings out.
Kanas watched for a few minutes before calling the school and informing them that class will be dismissed until further notice and they would be contacted when they gathered suitable information.

As the younger -loids waited to hear something from Maren, the announcements came on instead, "Attention students, our lock down is complete. However, classes have been dismissed until further notice by the mechanics due to a dangerous -loid that has attacked. Please, do not be alone and keep in groups. Thank you"
As the announcement ended, Mikuo looked at Rin and Len, "An attack? What kind? Do you think that's where the noise came from...?"
"It had to be..." Len looked worried, "I hope everyone is okay..."

Kai began work on setting up defenses around the house. He worked around his current status, making sure his weaknesses were being compensated with something. The military-loid moved around as if it as routine thing to do. His motions were stiff, robotic, unnatural and lifeless as usual. Though Kai was slightly more alert from the encounter and seemed to expect another one.

"Same here. . . " Rin nodded in agreement. "I wonder if they're looking for that -loid. It's be safer to know if they've been caught right?"

Rave finished up and took a seat quietly, his long black locks falling over his face as the thought of having Renee over washed over him.
