[Stage One: "I am Hollow: Understanding Rakey-chan"]
Xeion drifted off into a deep sleep. He felt as if he was being carried away by a river of some sort before he felt himself landing on what felt like solid ground -- flat and dry. His body was weak, so can't really move around, but he knew that he was alone. He was all alone in this dark dismal place, with nobody to talk to. As time passed by, Xeion felt like he had already been in this place for an eternity now. The sadness and loneliness welled up in his heart as the air around him grew colder and colder. It was a cruel place Xeion was in right now, but he had no choice but to bear it. He didn't know where he was, so he just had to suffer through it. Everything.
"It's cold...," Xeion mumbled to himself as he started shaking, embracing his own body, desperate for warmth. Tears rolled down his cheeks as he embraced himself, cursing as to why he was in such a pathetic state. "There's nobody here. I'm scared. I'm lonely. I want someone to help me. I want someone warm to hold. Please. Someone. Anyone!!" Xeion shouted with all of his might, but his pleas were left unanswered and he was left to shiver in the cold. Alone. "I hate this place...I hate this place...I hate this place," Xeion mumbled over and over again, using it to vent out the negative emotions he was feeling.
An unspecified time later, Xeion finally heard the first signs of life ever since he got here -- voices echoing in the distance. As soon as he heard of it, Xeion got up from where he lay, even though his body was still heavily injured, but surprisingly didn't hurt, and just felt weak, ran as fast as he could to where he heard the voices. Xeion smiled, happy that he was about to meet some people he could talk to. He was starting to grow slightly insane from the fact that he was alone, so he was happy that he would finally have a good conversation with someone. When he got to where the voices were though, what he saw shocked him right to the very core -- Hollows, an innumerable number of Hollows, fighting, killing, and eating each other.
"What...what is this...?" Xeion asked himself, falling to his knees and eyes wide open, staring at the sheer horror of it all. It was madness. Pure madness. Why would a Hollow kill another Hollow, one of its brethren, and eat it? Why would it do such a thing? These questions popped up in Xeion's head as he just sat there and watched everything unfold before him.
"It's just how it is. This is one of the processes we need to undergo before we become an Arrancar," a familiar voice said, and when Xeion looked to where it came from, he saw Rakey-chan.
"Rakey-chan...is this...really...?"
"Yes, this is how I was created."
Xeion cried when he heard those very words come out of Rakey-chan's mouth. To think that the kind, caring, and loving Arrancar he knew had done such a horrifying thing as the one the other Hollows before them were doing, Xeion felt that he and the entire shinigami race was responsible for this. Souls tend to become Hollows when shinigami fail to perform Soul Burial on them. These Hollows were once human souls, and now, they were nothing but mindless killing machines.
"Dammit, dammit!" Xeion cursed. "It's all our fault -- everything is our fault! We try and act noble and pure, but we're the ones who are to blame for this! The Hollows, the Arrancar -- everything."
Rakey-chan looked at Xeion with an emotionless glare. "How so, Xeion-kun?" asked Rakey-chan. She, too, was curious as to what Xeion meant my it was all the shinigami's fault.
Xeion replied. "It's because we failed to give you proper passage. Souls become Hollows when they are left in this world. They feel cold, scared, and alone, like I did before all this happened...,"
"Really now? I think you're lying. You have no idea what it feels to truly be alone, to truly feel like everyone abandoned you, to truly feel hatred as to why you were allowed to live out such a pitiful existence on your own!"
"It's true...!" Xeion shouted. "It's true...I may not have felt the same pain as you did...I may not have experienced life as you did...but even so, I understand now. I understand that you, Rakey-chan, are something special. Even with all the pain, you still manage to smile...you still manage to laugh...you still manage to help people, me included." Standing up, Xeion turned to face Rakey-chan, now with a smile on his face. "I know I don't understand Hollows, Arrancar, or you, for that matter, all that well, but I know that I won't give up!"
Xeion held out his hand and clasped Rakey-chan's hand with it. "I want to try, Rakey-chan. I want to understand. I may not be able to make up for the sins of the past, but at the very least, I want to try. It doesn't matter if you're a shinigami or a Hollow -- what's important is protecting the people you care about. You, Yuu-chan, Kastumi-san, Rin-chan, and everyone else -- that's the proof of our bond. A bond that surpasses race or rank. It's called love."
Rakey-chan simply smiled and nodded at Xeion's words. The area around them began to glow with ethereal light and everything became white as day. Soon, both the Hollows and the darkness faded away into a white light, leaving Rakey-chan and Xeion all by themselves. "Tell me something -- is that 'love' of yours powerful enough to make miracles happen?" asked Rakey-chan with a smile. Xeion answered back, leaning in to whisper into her ear,
"I don't know, but I'm sure it would make people happy though."
Rakey-chan giggled. "Xeion-kun is so silly."
With a bright flash of light, the two of them disappeared into nothing. Xeion had successfully completed the first stage and now moved on to the second stage.

[Stage Two: "I am Death: Understanding Duty"]
Xeion was blinded with that brief flash of light and was unable to see anything for a while. Soon, he felt a powerful solid object strike him on the head, and when he opened his eyes, he was back in the shinigami academy, right in the middle of Mr. Zaraki Kenpachi's and Ms. Yachiru's P.E. class. He was hit on the head by a small pebble thrown my Mr. Zaraki himself, and he looked really mad. "What are you doing, Kuchiki!? You're more of a wimp than those cherries in Squad Four! Just swing your zanpakuto at that thing!" he shouted before Xeion heard a roar. When he turned to look, he saw a huge Hollow right in front of him, its claws just about to hit him.
With his reflexes kicking in, Xeion rolled to the side, dodging the Hollow's attack. But as he was about to perform a counter-attack, he hesitated, stopping just millimeters away from cutting through the Hollow's arm. "No! I...can't! Why can't I do it!?" thought Xeion to himself but was knocked down immediately when he did when the giant Hollow swung its other hand at him, hitting him on the stomach.
With a pained expression on his face, Xeion looked up at the Hollow in front of him and was just about to strike the deathblow on him. "What's wrong with me? Why can't I fight like I used to!?" When the attack came, Xeion simply closed his eyes and waited to be killed. When he was expecting a hard stab, he, instead, got a powerful kick to the side. When he looked up, he saw Mr. Zaraki, fuming mad at him for that pathetic display. The Hollow, too, was also gone as it was just a physical manifestation of Ms. Yachiru's strong reiatsu.
"You spineless, gutless wimp! You dare call yourself a Kuchiki!? You're pathetic!" the muscled ex-Captain shouted and was about to kick him again before he was stopped by Ms. Yachiru. "Ken-chan, stop it! He's a student! You don't want to be reported to Principal Yamamoto again, do you!?" the child-teacher reminded, calming Mr. Zaraki down as he slowly turned away from Xeion. "Hey, can someone bring this pansy to nurse Unohana's ward?" shouted the ex-Captain as Xeion's classmates snickered at his comment about the future Vice Captain of Squad Nine.
[Skips to after-class hours]
Xeion, after class, was walking home to the Kuchiki house, holding his bag. He didn’t have much friends in the shinigami academy, seeing as he was seen as weird by most of his classmates and teachers for not being able to kill Hollows like a normal shinigami. He was talented both as a fighter and a student, but he never really got over his anti-violence mindset, even from the beginning. Such was his natural style -- his personality. Too bad nobody seemed to like him because of this.
While on his way back, Xeion was met by some of his classmates from his section in the academy. “Hi, what’s up?” he greeted with a smile, trying to act friendly with the hopes of gaining a friend, but he was soon pushed down before he was ganged upon by the said students. “Ouch, quit it! Quit it! Ahhh!” cried Xeion, tears streaming from his eyes. The blows from them stung as it hit his body numerous times over and over again, but those blows didn’t hurt as much as the words they have said.
“Stinking Hollow-lover! You should die with them if you like them so much! Haha!”
“You’re pathetic! Why did Byakuya-sama choose you instead of me!? I’m a better shinigami than you! At least I could kill Hollows!”
“Get out of here! You didn’t even belong here in the first place!”
After they were satisfied of beating him, they left Xeion alone. Then, it started to rain. Slowly, Xeion pulled himself up from the ground which was now all muddy because of the rain. Xeion’s wet bangs covered his eyes, and the rain hiding the tears he shed. He didn’t know why shinigami had to kill Hollows. Besides, it was their fault that they became Hollows in the first place. Why was he hated so much just because he wanted to make peace with Hollows instead of fighting with them? Why were the shinigami so against the idea of the two factions coming together in peace and harmony?
“It’s hard to mix duty and your personal feelings isn’t it, Xeion?” asked a figure right behind him and everything went monochrome as they spoke. Looking back, Xeion saw the man who adopted him, Byakuya Kuchiki, and he was no longer in his old academy uniform but in his usual civilian attire. Xeion highly respected him and was thankful for everything he had given him. Bowing once, he fully turned his body to properly face the man. “Byakuya-sama…why are you showing me this?” he asked, waiting for Byakuya’s response.
“Because, Xeion, I, too, have faced the same dilemma you’re facing now.”
With those words, Byakuya began to tell Xeion the story about how he loved a girl from the Rukongai. About the things he did in the past and how happy they were. He also told Xeion about all the rules he broke by loving someone of a different status than himself and how he was saddened by her death. Finally, he told him about the importance of following your heart above all else. Xeion felt somewhat relieved. Even though this version of Byakuya might just be another illusion, he was happy. It wasn’t always that a man gets to casually talk with his superior like this.”
“Byakuya-sama, the woman you loved…is Lady Hisana, correct?” asked Xeion while Byakuya simply nodded.
“I see. I, too, used to love someone. A Shihouin. Although it was painful for me, I distanced myself from her because I wasn’t able to protect her. I am useless. So useless. What is the use of this sword when you can’t protect the ones you love with it!?” Xeion shouted, almost crying.
“Then protect what you can with what you have. What’s stopping you?” Byakuya answered as simply as he could.
“It’s because…some of the people I want to protect…are from the Hollow race…” Xeion murmured. It was a long silence before Byakuya spoke, although his voice sounded shocked by Xeion’s answer.
“Xeion, do you know why I chose you to be part of the clan? It’s because you have a strong sense of duty -- a strong sense of justice. Stronger than anyone else’s in this world. You know what needs to be done, and I have no qualms over it. Do what you must.”
Smiling, Xeion wrapped his arms around Byakuya while Byakuya, although hesitant, did the same for Xeion. “Thank you, Byakuya-sama. Now, I finally know what path I must take,” he said, relinquishing his hug and wiping away his tears. “I must protect those whom I cherish, no matter what. I shall do whatever it takes so that those whom I have chosen to protect are safe from harm, no matter what, or who, gets in the way -- just like what you did to Lady Hisana.”
Byakuya, for the first time since he met him, smiled at Xeion and patted him on the head.
“Don't make the same mistake I once did. Cherish the moments you have while you can. With that blade of justice of yours, do your best to protect this world, protect those you love. That is the path of a true Kuchiki clansman -- the upholder of justice of duty.”
Just as before, the entire area around them soon began to fade away into white, leaving Xeion and Byakuya the only ones left.
"Yes, I will. Thank you for your blessing, Byakuya-sama," said Xeion, now beginning to fade away himself. Before everything disappeared, however, Byakuya said a few, last words to Xeion.
"Remember, Xeion. One can only appreciate the things in life best when you know you cannot always protect them."

[Stage Three: “Promise”]
After completing two, consecutive events, he was now in the third, and most probably last, event as Xeion awoke in the middle of the street in what seemed to be small town. Standing up, Xeion felt his body to be completely fine now, and his wounds seemed to have disappeared. He was able to walk freely again without worrying about opening up a wound or whatever else. The only problem was he didn’t know where he was, so he simply wondered off from street to street, walking everywhere just to find out where he was. He suddenly stopped, however, when someone called over his attention, and when he looked around, he saw “that girl” from before.
“Hey, don’t wander around like that! You might get lost here,” she shouted as she reached out to grab Xeion’s arm and drag him. For some strange reason, Xeion couldn’t look up at her to see her face, as if something was stopping him from doing so. He could only see up to her mouth, but couldn’t see beyond that. From what he can discern, however, the girl was Japanese, or half-Japanese, at best. She had short hair which reached her shoulders, stood at about 5’6”, and wore casual clothes, fitting for girls her age -- maybe 15 or 16 years old. “Come on, we have a lot of stuff to do, so come on!”
As soon as the girl dragged him off, their day began. Xeion and the girl did all kinds of fun stuff, like go to some of the town’s tourist spots and trying out all kinds of new clothes from the clothes shop without really buying them all. They ate at Pizza Hut and took a tour of the nearby air base where they had fun watching the planes on display. As they were taking the tour, Xeion somewhat realized that the air base looked somewhat like Yokota Air Base before it was attacked by those five things. As soon as Xeion saw this, he was about to run away to affirm his suspicions, when, all of a sudden, the girl yanked his arm. “Come on, the tour guide said to go that way,” and he was stopped. Because of the girl, he was forced to spend the remainder of the day with her, although not really ‘forced’. He did enjoy himself even after his realization.
Several hours later, they were outside this giant hospital, sitting on one of the stone stoppers in the hospital parking lot. It was already six in the evening, and the street lamps were already glimmering to life. They were laughing.
“Haha, I had fun today,” the girl said with a cheerful tone of voice.
“Yes. Me too,” replied Xeion then both laughed again before a period of silence.
“You know,” said the girl, “my dream is to become a nurse for the Air Force someday. I’ll watch over the sick and tend to them to the best of my abilities. It’s either that or become a teacher, haha,” giggled the girl, embracing her knees as she looked up at the fast-darkening sky. Xeion, unable to see the girl’s face, simply smiled at this, and looked up at the sky with her as well, cherishing the silence since no words can truly be said to appreciate this situation more, since words can’t really express some things that are best expressed in silence.
“You know what? There were times that I’ve thought of giving up -- my goals, my dreams -- and simply stop. Life is stressful, both for us and for everyone in this world. There is nobody in life that doesn’t have something they worry about or afraid of,” the girl murmured.
“Yes…I agree,” Xeion replied with a rather sad face, knowing that the reason why he was here was because he was killed by those things in the fight in Yokota.
The girl giggled,, then turned her attention back at the sky. “I can’t see the stars from here,” she giggled as she said it, but stopped when she saw a single star in the sky, shining brightly above the two of them. It was small, the only one of its kind at that time, but still, it kept on shining. Slowly reaching out her hand, she opened her hand as if wanting to grasp it. “I always blamed myself for my lack of self-confidence, but even though I’m like this, my friends, my family, and everyone in my life loves me. It’s because of them that I want to do my best -- to move forward. That’s why, I’m not going to run away anymore. I want to change. I want to accept everything. I will be proud of myself, so that one day, I can look back and smile, knowing that I did the right thing.”
Xeion, after hearing the girl’s little monologue, was touched, but kept silent, muttering a hushed, “Yeah,” as he also reached out his hand towards the night sky, much to the amusement of the girl beside him who giggled slightly that his friend mimicked her in the same fashion. Still, she appreciated that gesture and simply went on with what she wanted to say.
“In our lives, we will eventually come to different crossroads. Regardless of what road we choose to go on, the decision will still be up to the person. Some decisions may mean leaving all those you care about behind to pursue your dream, but whatever the decision, it’s still a decision you have tried your best to make.”
Now unable to contain the emotions he was feeling right at that moment, Xeion spoke. “You know what…I was a coward. Although I didn’t do it on purpose, I “ran away” from my friends, and they’re suffering because of it. If I could go back, I would, but seeing as won’t be able to anymore, I just…have to bear with the guilt of having to leave them,” cried Xeion, tears streaming from his eyes and running down from his cheeks.
“You’re…so silly sometimes, you know?”
Xeion turned his head in shock after he had heard this, gazing at the girl’s smiling face after she said it. She then gestured up to the sky to the single star above them, shining in the distance. “You know? Even though that star is small and alone, it’s still trying its best to shine. Even if the sky its pitch black, without anything else to see, it still keeps on shining. It’s trying it’s best to grow brighter and brighter so that it will look better to people, and eventually, become radiant.”
After the girl finished, Xeion’s shocked expression disappeared. “So, do you like stars then?” Xeion asked.
“I think they’re okay. Hey, did you know that my e-mail name has the word ‘Star’ on it?” the girl replied with a giggle.
“Ah, I see. So I guess you can see yourself in a star, huh?” Xeion asked again.
“Sort of, haha,” the girl replied, sticking out her tongue.
“Okay, I understand now.”
Standing up, Xeion fixed himself up and looked up at the night sky. “So even though we’re far apart, as long as we do our best, like that star, we can shine so that our loved ones can see us, no matter how far apart we are, right?” said Xeion while the girl, standing up, replied as she padded herself off, “Yup, that’s right.“ After that, both of them laughed out loud until they were satisfied laughing.
“I’m still awe-struck at the fact that you can think up of these things to make others happy. You’re amazing,” whispered Xeion, turning his attention at the girl beside her while she blushed. “Y-your silly! I blush easily, you know!” she shouted, turning her face away from Xeion’s eyes. “I-I…guess…,” she murmured, blushing more still. However, when Xeion made eye contact with the girl, the Angra Mainyu in his eyes suddenly activated, opening Xeion’s ’Soul Eyes’ ability for a split second, allowing him to see just a little part of herself through a quick look into her eyes, since even in ancient times, eyes were believed to be the windows of the soul.
After Xeion saw a part of her, he understood now, somewhat, as to why she was that way. Since she had comforted him, it was time to repay her kindness, like a true gentleman. Of course, Xeion would hide the fact he saw into her soul without permission, seeing that it was an accident and he didn‘t do it on purpose. “But even though you sound amazing, your actually small and fragile. You only take what people throw at you and just smile and look pretty. You don’t let anyone see your true self unless you trust them with all of your heart, am I right? Don’t worry though, I’m sure you’ll change if you continue working hard and doing your best.”
The girl was surprised, but before she could utter a word, Xeion held out his pinky, smoothly, but quickly, changing the topic. “Let’s make a promise. Let’s promise to do our very best and shine so that everyone can see us, and show the people just what kind of persons we really are,” he said, smiling at her with the hopes of her forgetting what he had just blurted out a while ago. “Oh…uhmm…yeah…,” she muttered, slowly holding out her pinky and interlocked it with Xeion’s. He smiled then both of them started to chant the pinky swear oath as if both of them were still children in a schoolyard, making a promise to each other -- a promise than can never be broken.
“Yubikiri genman, uso tsuitara hari senbon nomasu, yubi kitta.”
With the promise made, both of them smiled at each other. As always, the scenery faded out to white, leaving Xeion and the girl “Let’s do our best from now on, no matter what,” said Xeion. “Hai,” the girl replied. Soon, everything faded away, but the last thing both of them saw was each others' smiles.

[Last Stage: "Family"]
When Xeion awoke, he was in the middle of a large, dark room with nothing inside it. The room was big, yet barren. Spacious, but empty. The walls were almost gone, decaying even, and the only light came from the streaks of sunlight which pierced through the numerous boarded windows.. The entire atmosphere gave out a rather depressing feel to anyone who was inside. In short, it was a sad room. "What is this place?" Xeion asked himself, looking around, but saw nothing. He continued his search until he heard a soft crying sound in one corner of the room.
As he neared the spot where the voice was coming from, he saw a child in tattered clothing, slumped down in a fetal position, crying his eyes out. "What's wrong?" Xeion asked, kneeling down and patting the young child on the head and smiled at him. The child, feeling the warmth of his hand, raised his head to look at the man, revealing that the child possessed raven-black hair and fierce, crimson eyes -- features which were similar to his own. Xeion was surprised to see this, a child who looked exactly like him, but years younger, probably about six years old, at most.
Recovering from the shock, Xeion finally gathered up enough of his courage to speak. "Hey there, kid. Care to tell me what happened?" Xeion asked again, smiling at the child as he sniffled, wiping away his tears. "Mommy...and daddy...went away...," the child cried, trying his best to respond coherently while he held back the tears. "Ever since they left me...I've been all alone in this room...I'm cold...I'm scared...I...want to die...," the child finished. With that response, Xeion knew that this child was, indeed, directly related to him. Xeion couldn't remember his past, seeing that he has amnesia, but whenever he did, he felt his heart die a little. Maybe this young boy was a part of his past? Probably so, but for now, Xeion wanted to comfort the young child as best as he could. Whether this was him or not, it didn't matter. This young boy needed help, and Xeion wanted to be the one to help him.
Wrapping his arms around the child, Xeion allowed himself to feel the child, giving him his warmth as he held the child tighter. "Don't cry any more. I'm here, and I promise to stay by your side, no matter what," he said, smiling sweetly as he held the young boy. "Nii-san...you're so warm...and you have broad shoulders...just like my dad when he used to hug me...," the child muttered, wrapping his little arms around Xeion as best as he could. "Your hair, too, smells good, kind of like my mother's hair."
All of a sudden, the world around them brightened up as the boards from the windows broke themselves and turned into silk curtains. The sunlight grew brighter and brighter with each passing second, but Xeion and the boy didn't mind it. They were too busy enjoying each others' company. "You've been all alone, ever since your parents left. You were left in this dark room to fend for yourself, unloved, uncared for, like a forgotten memory. You've never known what it's like to be happy...," said Xeion, using an analogy from his own experience with Yuu-chan and how hard it must have been for her living all alone before they met. "But...if you want...I'll stay here with you. I'll take care of you until your parents come back. I'll be your family."
"Oh, it seems that your 'love' can work miracles after all," a familiar voice ringed out from behind him, and when he turned around, he saw Rakey-chan, smiling at him, her arms on her waist.
"So this is the path you have chosen. Indeed, it is a radiant one, Xeion," another voice blurted out as Byakuya Kuchiki appeared beside Rakey-chan, brandishing a rare smile.
"Haha, it seems as though you're slowly becoming a shining star, Xeion-kun," yet another familiar voice rang out, but this time, it was behind him. It belonged to that girl he met in Yokota. He didn't dare turn his head to look at her though, or rather, he can't.
"Everyone...," murmured Xeion as he closed his eyes and cried. The child he held, as he cried, poked him on the forehead and smiled at him. "Nii-san...thank you. You can go back to your world now, if you want. Your friends are probably waiting for you," the boy said. Xeion, smiled and nodded, relinquishing his embrace as he turned around to head towards the door, seeing as the room was already bright to the point that the sun illuminated everything in the room. As he walked, the scenery began to change. The room began to crumble and break, detaching itself piece by piece, revealing a beautiful meadow, basked in warm sunlight, in the surrounding area.
"Good job," Rakey-chan praised and disappeared as Xeion passed by her. Byakuya simply nodded when he passed by him before he disappeared. The girl smiled and patted Xeion on the back, saying, "Let's meet again someday," as she disappeared as well.
As Xeion held the doorknob, he was about to turn it to open the door, when he stopped. Turning around, Xeion held out his hand towards the boy with a warm, almost angelic, smile on his face. "Hey, come with me. Let's go together," Xeion said. The boy was shocked by what he had said, but felt extremely happy at the same time. He smiled as he ran to Xeion, his arms reaching out, until their hands touched, both of them smiling at each other. Now that Xeion had the boy with him, he was now content and ready to leave. "Nii-san," the boy asked, tugging on his pant leg, "are we going back to your friends?"
Xeion smiled at the boy and shook his head. "No, they're not my friends," he said and turned the doorknob, opening the door. As soon as he did, the light from the other side slipped in and enveloped the two figures, both Xeion and the boy. "They're...my family...," he smiled, saying those words in a loving tone of voice.
"They're our family."

Rakey sat next to Xeion, every so often checking for the mechanical 'things'. Tears streamed from her face, as she shook him everyso often as well. Hoping, hoping for him to wake up. "Xeion, Hey! Hey, XEION!! WAKE UP!" She yelled, her face showed worry,as her eyes shut. Her own reiatsu was hovering over her silhouette because it was beginning to rise. Rakey didn't want to lose her friend, she was the only one she could actually relate to in some way. "If you don't wake up... I'm .... I'm gonna... I'm gonna get mad, Xeion!" She threatened, though it wasn't much of a threat. Rakey was angry with how little of a fight he put up, and didn't bother to get back up, usually he'd get up and wouldn't give in to... No. She wasn't going to think about what was possibly happening, he ccouldn't be dyi- No. She won't say it. "...Xeion...." Rakey cried.

Back in the real world, Xeion's body lay motionless in a pool made by his own blood while Rakey-chan sat beside him as if protecting him from any possible attack. It was true though -- there was no way a normal human person could survive something as brutal as that. However Xeion wasn't a normal human being. He wasn't even human, for that matter. He was a Revenant -- a being that is neither 'dead' nor 'alive' seeing that it haven't 'lived' in the first place. Revenants cannot really die with something as simple as that. One needs to exert a little more effort if one were to have a chance of killing one in one's own lifetime. One could go so far as to even say that Revenants were simply puppets with souls attached to them, created through mysterious arts by the great minds of the magus guild. If given the right circumstances, Revenants can return to life, if they were willing to live, as long as their mind, heart, and eyes, or even one of those things, stays intact.
"Ugh...," Xeion mumbled, slowly opening his eyes as he once again saw the image of a half-destroyed Yokota in front of him. Turning around, he saw Rakey-chan, crying her eyes out. She was probably too sad to notice that he was already back with them. Slowly pulling himself up, Xeion breathed out and saw that his wounds were completely healed. He was surprised by this, at first, but smiled. He knew that, in some way, his friends had something to do with his healing. Therefore, it was only natural for him to return the favor -- by using his 'new' life in service for his friends. No, his family. Rakey-chan, Yuu-chan, Rin-chan, Kat-chan, everyone was his family, and he cherished them all. After his brush with death, Xeion realized what he had to do now because it was what his heart told him to do so.
Gripping Elena's hilt, he smiled. He was back in this world, given another chance by whatever it was that had him return to this place, to protect those he loved. He wasn't going to waste it this time around. He will protect those he loves. He will protect his family. He will protect his home, Xeion was sure now. But first, he had to stop Rakey-chan from crying.
Using an index finger, Xeion wiped away Rakey-chan's tears, giving her the sweetest smile he could. Leaning in, Xeion gave Rakey-chan a peck on the cheek, a silent message telling her that everything was okay, and that she needn't cry any longer. "Tadaima," he whispered into her ear, a simple sign which said that he won't be leaving her, or anyone else, any more. It didn't matter if Rakey-chan was and Arrancar; she was part of his family, and nothing will ever change that. Xeion wanted to tell her his feelings personally, but for now, it was time to take out the five trouble-makers who were causing quite a stir.
Standing up, Xeion, fixed his clothes, and padded off the excess dust, then held out his hand to Rakey-chan. "Shall we dance, milady?" he asked in a gentlemanly fashion, bowing as he waited for her to comply with his request.

Rakey gasped in surprise when she felt a warm finger wipe the tears from her cheeks. Then turned red in embarassment when she felt a pack on her cheek. "Xeion?" She stared, shocked by him, being alive and fully healed. She shook her head was she hallucinating? When she opened her eyes, Xeion's figure still stood there, "Am I seeing things?" She reached her hand out to Xeion's hand, she swore she was. Until, they both came in contact. She wasn't seeing things, Xeion, the real thing, was there, healed, and happy. Standing right in front of her, bowing.
What did he just ask her, she was to busy staring at him she hadn't caught what he had asked her. A few seconds later, she remembered what he had asked her. The shinigami before her, had asked her for a dance. "A dance?" Rakey asked as she tilted her head and held his hand tighter, ready to stand up.

Xeion smiled and nodded, happy that she had taken his hand. "Yes, Rakey-chan, you heard me right. As strange as it may sound, I want you to dance with me," Xeion murmured in a calm voice. Suddenly, five Jackals appeared behind him, ready to strike, but Xeion was quick on his feet and skipped away from the five Jackals, gently pulling Rakey-chan along with him, leaving the Jackals to strike at thin air while both Xeion and Rakey-chan spun gracefully around until they stopped spinning, going into a dance position immediately afterward. [Rakey-chan-Xeion Combo Attack Music: Those Who Fight Further] With Xeion leading, he pulled out a blue rose and stuck it into his mouth then turned to look at Rakey-chan deep into her eyes, staring only at her, smiling as he did. Pulling her in, Xeion leaned in his face near to Rakey-chan, almost kissing, and spoke. "Rakey-chan, please trust me with your body. Allow yourself to move with your instinct, and I will support you in whatever way I can," said Xeion, implying that he would lead the dance at first, but would allow Rakey-chan to do whatever she wanted to, and Xeion will move according to movements, kind of like how two partners in a dance would act. "Well then, let's dance, milady," whispered Xeion, and thus, the dance had begun. While Xeion held Rakey-chan in his arms, one of the attackers came from behind and tried to stab Rakey-chan from behind. In that instance, Xeion swayed his right hand out, pushing Rakey-chan slightly away from him with only their right hands, clasped against each other, acting as a bridge, to keep them together as the attacker completely missed its mark, running under their outstretched arms. At the same time, another one of those things came again, but this time, aiming straight for Xeion. Seeing this, Xeion pulled Rakey-chan closer to him then quickly stepped to one-side, turning gracefully as he lowered Rakey-chan's body near the ground, holding her by her hips, with his free hand outstretched to the imaginary audience. Once again, not one, not two, but three attackers came, all charging towards them, blades drawn. "It's showtime, partner," he murmured into Rakey-chan's ear and smiled. Quickly, Xeion pulled Rakey-chan up and spun her to one side, leaving Xeion the only target of the three attackers. It was time to show these amateurs how "dancing" was really done. The first one to go down was the attacker who, after getting impatient, was the first one to thrust its weapon at Xeion. Stepping back a little, Xeion allowed its hand to pass by him, before Xeion quickly took hold of its hand and threw him over to Rakey-chan's direction. The next one to go was the second attacker, aiming to pierce his sides. With a quick step and a sweep kick, Xeion knocked it off-balance. Then, quickly grabbing its head, Xeion somersaulted over it, slightly twisting its neck to the point of its nerves being slightly paralyzed, before throwing it with all his might, also at Rakey-chan's direction. The final one was the figure who wanted to attack Xeion from behind and pierce his back yet again. Xeion was quick to catch on, however, seeing that it had already been done to him once before, so just as it was about to hit him, Xeion flipped backward, extending his hands and using the attacker's shoulder as a base, until he got behind him, then reinforced his hands with reiatsu. Xeion then began to punch the attacker's back a total of 30 times before side-stepping back to its front and gave it a German suplex, slamming its head onto the concrete ground. Xeion wasn't done with him yet though and finished him off with a powerful, reiatsu-enforced drop-kick, sending its body flying, also towards Rakey-chan. Now, three of the attackers were flying at Rakey-chan, but Xeion wasn't doing it so that they would hit Rakey-chan. Now that they were vulnerable, Rakey-chan would be able to exact a combo of her own on them without worrying too much about getting hit with a counterattack. The reason why Xeion did this was because he trusted in Rakey-chan's abilities and trusted Rakey-chan herself. He knew that she would do great -- he would now just sit back and watch her stunning performance unfold before his eyes. Taking out the rose from his mouth he bowed to his partner. "Now it's time for your turn to shine, Rakey-chan!" [12/15]

Yuu just sat there in her safe little hiding spot. She tried to stay there and keep out of the way, just like her big brother told her to do. The last thing he would want, was for Yuu to get hurt. She just sat there with her poncho around her waist, and her eyes set on the awesome duo.
She was amazed by the 'dancing' that was being performed by her big brother and her arrancar friend. She thought they were awesome before, but seeing them together like this, just made them even more awesome.

((Yuu-chan, you're back! *glomps* (>OwO)> Don't you ever get grounded again, okay? We missed you lots! Here's a picture that expresses just how much Xeion missed his precious, little sister. 3nodding )) ((This pic was inspired by Ayumi Hamasaki's song, " Rainy Day". I call it, Melancholy in Blue, and is a rare glimpse of a Xeion who is full of sorrow. I hope you like it, Yuu-chan!)) whee
