Adriel focus for a while on the oddly colored walls rather then the equipment, it seemed to relaxed him a bit until he turned towards Lamen. "I am alright, just never warm up the hospital/laboratory scene....." He gave a soft chuckle then shrugged. "But I suppose I'll have to at least get used to it...."
"At least the walls are friendly." Dan chuckled from the door.
"Friendly walls, creepy furniture......"

Ah, this was something about Adriel that was pretty human and understandable, or so the gray-haired student thought. Creepy furniture, huh? Lamen smiled- this wasn't new to her at all. "Yea, it's a natural feeling for most people- hospitals are a scary place that are always associated with unpleasantness, aren't they? You go there when you are hurt or sick, and see many suffering people each time. Truthfully, even the most trained doctor is forever unsettled by the environment, and few find all white and smooth to be aesthetically pleasing. Sooner or later the look becomes associated with the unpleasantness. Well, you're not alone- I find white walls to be totally bland, so here we are, right?" She gestured towards the walls, trying not to realize that one of the childish doodles was an uncanny realistic depiction of a human heart with an innocent happy face and wings, spurting blood. Crazy kids... She continued, seeing as Adriel didn't seem all that talkative. "I'm not too worried about contamination, since Soar has a handy ability to detect life. The workspace still needs to be as clean and safe as possible though, since I'll be handling fragile biological samples there and all." She hoped that this didn't all sound like jargon to Adriel- but if she recalled, he was a... pokemon medic of some sort, so he'd have education in biology.
She then opened the drawer situated beneath the sink. "Kay, here's an advanced first aid kit stored in here. I doubt I need to explain how to use things to you. There are bandages over there-" she pointed to another drawer- "Aaand even a couple of blood packets in the cooler." She gestured to the fridge-thing. "So, you can use this place whenever you like, just don't touch the special equipment and machinery, alright? It's not mine, it's borrowed. Any questions?"

Adriel nodded slowly as he took mental notes. "......Well.....yes, just one. Why would I ever come down here unless severely injure and just happen to be near by?.....or out of blood?"

Lamen facepalmed- was he SERIOUS?! "You've forgotten the entire point of this already?" She looked to Daniel to see if someone with better memory was listening, and then answered Adriel's question: "Checkups, and unless you have a reliable phone number I'll want to update you on my research once in awhile, seeing as there are choices to be made and I'd like to hear your opinion. Maybe you can, I dunno, even help me out sometimes. You might feel less afraid of labs if you do some of the work yourself, and you'd spare me some time and effort. I have other things to do, too, and though this is definitely more important, I'd rather not have to shoulder ALL the burden seeing as I'm not helping myself."

The healer gave grim smile at that time. "I am aware of the check-ups, I thought it went unsaid that the was a reason why I would need to come down here when I asked my question. I am not an imbecile. While I dislike this specific room I don't let the fear of it block my logical thinking." His eyebrow rose slightly for a moment. "And I do have a phone number, Dan can pass it along if he so wishes to.The only time I cannot be reach is in blizzards and when i am too far up a mountain, two things that rarely happen. Either way, I'll still attend your check ups."
He sighed. "I suppose I could help with the work, after all this is my problem..."

Lamen was once again taken aback when Adriel explained himself. He was making her more and more confused. To the scientist's eyes, he kept switching from trying to avoid her and this house with all his might, to being cooperative. Well, she figured that he was being responsible and smiled. "O-kay, I meant no offense. Though we should really try to get along a bit more. Thanks for offering your help- I'd really appreciate it. So... um..."
Awkward silence. The gray-haired trainer's gaze travelled slowly to the wall and equipment, trying to avoid the pressure of Lock's grim expression. Definitely the most difficult guest she'd ever had.
"Yeah, that's the gist of it." She suddenly declared, returning to Lock with an entirely unnatural grin. If this was an anime, she would've sweatdropped.
