no, you shouldn't have sold to him. of course, i would never sell to anyone. of course, i usually don't have any, even if i wanted to sell, and when i do, it's never more than 2 grams. but you definitely should not have sold to him.

idk what this spoof is you speak of. is that your name for the paper towel tube with dryer sheets in it?

You are correct, sir!

However, we put them in a gatorade bottle and cut 2 holes on the bottom (it works better ninja )

uhm... no, they dont. trust me. i know people who used to grow (one that still does). i know dealers. they're not getting protection.
Not any dealer/grower but the bigtime ones who give a cut the feds.

i don't think you understand how the weed trade works
I do.
but weed is too easy to grow, you don't get large kingpins like you do with narcotics. the government isn't going to wast their time with weed dealers because even a large weed operation is nothing compared to a narcotics ring.
are you saying there is no large growing corporations? lol

There are plenty of huge operations, and there are few arrests, but only because of accidents and to make it look like they are trying to put a stop to it.

no thats not what i'm saying. i know a guy who used to grow weed on a corn farm, and back when he was growing, he'd have it set up so that every other row was not corn but weed.

what i'm saying is that a large trade (like the one you listed) has millions of dollars worth of weed plants. how much do you think a grower will be willing to pay the government? if they're only capable of making millions (and then only if they sell everything all at once) they're probably not going to be willing to hand over 1/3rd of what they make to the government. however, if the government were to tax them, they could take up to (maybe even more) than 1/3rd of the profits.

the narcotics kingpins make much more than these large weed operations, and to them, handing over a few million isn't a crippling blow to their income like it would be with a weed dealer. it'd be more feasible to extort from narcotics than it is from weed. the marijuana trade is small fries compared to cocaine and opiates.

Then why is it illegal?
Besides the fact that every one think it's a gateway drug -.-

Ultimately, I'm just gonna default to Grave's stock response here.

Drugs is bad, kids. Hurt brain. You needs brain for smart-making.

because william randolph hearst and the pharmaceutical companies in the 20s and 30s wanted to make the hemp plant illegal. hearst wanted to preven competitor newspapers from producing their magazines on cheaper, hemp based paper and thus selling them for less. the pharmaceutical companies wanted people using their product and not some natural cure for headaches. these two groups made up rumours about the ill effects of marijuana, saying it was a worse narcotic than even heroin, and then they disallowed members of the american medical association from attending the senate hearings. the AMA was prevented from attending because they stated that there was not enough research to verify ANY claims that marijuana was harmful, much less a worse drug than heroin. without AMA attendance, these scare tactics easily succeeded in illegalizing the drug.

please, dont respond in this thread. instead, respond here: http://www.gaiaonline.com/guilds/viewtopic.php?t=14674683
