Oh, here and there. Shaylene asnwered nonchalantly. She plucked at the grass at her side and looked up a the night sky. Not many stars show tonight.

He looked up as well. He saw the sky, but to him the stars shined brightly through the dark cloudy night. "Oh?" He layed back onto the grass ignoring ideas of grass stains. He then closed his eyes. "I don't remember the burn."

Red crossed her ankles and held herself up with her hands. I got it a few years ago. Got into an arguement with a witch and, even though I was right, she insisted on fighting. Red shrugged and couldn't help but let her gaze drift over V. I fell into a fire pit after tearing out her juglar vein.

He chuckled. "Only you, Shaylene." He stretched and crossed his arms behind his head, cushioning it with his hands. He mentally shook off the worry the story caused him.

A smile played across ehr lips, dimples showing in her cheeks. If it wasn't karma, I don't know what was. She commented, nudging Vitae's side with her slippered toe.

He laughed. "Darling, Karma has nothing on you." He quickly grabbed her foot without looking. "You've always been a force to reckon with."

Shaylene gave an unexpected nervous giggle and she bit her lip. Something was wrong, but what? Yeah, well every time I do something hurtful, I end up with another scar. She told him, then poked him in the side with her free foot.

His smile grew at her giggle. "Maybe you should be nice for a change." He arched her a look. "Are you alright?" He knew he wasn't supposed to listen to her thoughts, but it was unavoidable.

Red nodded at Vitae and smiled. Me? Be nice? I don't think so. She joked. Everyone knew she was a nice person, unless you got on ehr bad side, then your chances of living were slim-to-none. Purpously ignoring his concern, she blanked her mind and then built up a mental gaurd against her thoughts.

He felt the her guard go up. He was amost thankful for it. It would cover her thoughts as long as he didn't delve for them. "You are't as tough as you play, you know." He said. Not reading her mind, just his point of view.

Shaylene frowned at him and then pulled her foot from his grass, flipping onto her stomach so she faced him. I could be. She pointed out. She was expressionless, neither irritated nor happy at the moment.

He smiled up at her from his laying position. His relaxed body as limp as his white granite skin could be. "I always did like puzzles." He murmured softly.

Red propped her chin on her palm and looked at Vitae. her eyes held confusion and she pulled her hood over her head, the brim dropping to cover her nose. Sh ecould see through the material, though even those withthe best eyesight could not see in. I don't get it. Puzzles??

He lifted a hand and peaked in, under her hood. "You are a puzzle, sometimes." He said a quizical look in his eyes.

Red nipped at V's fingers and wrinkled her nose. You know I don't like people touching the cloak. Her tone was slightly teasing and she didn't pull away, but really, she hardly ever let someone touch the cloak.
