As soon as the EMT's arrived, the nurse went over to Josh to try to calm him down. It was clear that none of the people in the room were faking injured for attention, and everyone had been stressed out by whatever had happened in this science room. She immidiately tried to get him to come with her to guidance office to talk things over.

The teachers had all been called to the office for a quick staff meeting, and as soon as they began to trickle out an announcement came over the intercom, "We would like to thank you all for your cooperation during this stressful time. We will be having half-hour classes today so that teachers may give you your homework, and then you will be dismissed for the remainder of the week. If any of you would like to talk to someone about what happened this morning, the guidance counselors will be here all day. When you return on monday, we will have proffessional counselors here for you all day in the Library. Please have a good, restful, relaxing, weekend."

User ImageUser ImageA team of EMT's split and went to work efficiently on Cait and Jay while they waited for a second crew to arrive. Cait, who was still starting to come around, was dazed and confused by all of the attention and the bright lights they insisted on shining in her eyes. They took her shirt back from Penelope and gave the jacket back to Lindsay. They all knew Cait was a narcoleptic, she was practically on first-name basis with all of the EMT's on Delmor because she was so prone to falling down and hurting herself. Because Cait was not completely concious, and a minor, the moved her onto a gurney and took her out to the ambulance just as Crew number two arrived to pack the unconcious Jay up. After asking a few students what had happened to her, they put a neck brace on her just in case she had a neck injury, but it was very clear she did have a head injury. She was also transported to the hospital.

User ImageThen they got to Rowena, now sobbing in a corner of the room. One of the EMT's examined her and looked at what was now a palm sized boil on the side of her face. The pain was excruciating. The EMT called his buddies over to look, and they all decided that she should go to the hospital to have it drained. They could give her pain killers and antibiotics intravenously in the emergency room, and she would be better in no time.

And with that, the start of the entire problem was packed up neatly into ambulances, and taken to the local hospital.

No one thought to reprimand Attommos... He did things like this all the time.

User ImageHm. I'm not dead yet. Good sign, I suppose... Lindsay thought, returning to the lab to pick up her jacket as Cait was wheeled away, sans jacket, and seeing Rowena merely sobbing over her boil. Had Lindsay liked Rowena, she would have likely tried to surreptitiously try to do something for Rowena using electricity. This, however, was not the case, so Lindsay simply walked to her first thirty-minute block of class. How pointless. After a day like today, no one's going to do their homework... As she crossed the threshold of Science B once again, she suddenly heard a loud rap on the window. Geez, I'm never gonna get to class, am I?

She crossed the room in a few strides only to come face to face with a slightly bloody, black-clad redhead.

"Hey, you know those big wooden things with the metal handles? They're called doors, you know..." Lindsay chuckled, opening the window for Mariana. After everything she had seen that morning, the pose or the insane grin did not faze her in the least.

With that, Lindsay turned on her heels and walked off briskly, hoping not to have to turn around again to do something else in Science B.

User ImageMariana flicked her hair back and cackled. "Now what fun is that, walkin' through the door like any ordinary dame?" The girl had already turned to leave, as if she could tell there wasn't a thank-you coming in the near future. Mariana didn't mind much; it looked like she had caught the attention of Austin Aires. Austin seemed to recognize her, seeing how he was a bit wary of her presence. She probably knew him better than he knew her; the week just wasn't complete until Mariana showed up at the police station.

"It's been a little weird today, huh?" he said, splitting his attention between the two girls. Mariana hopped through the open window and straightened herself out. She mused, "You're tellin' me! Robbers in the school, a bunch o' explosions--sounds like summin' right outta Hollywood, don' it?" She threw one arm jovially over Austin's shoulder, letting a few last drops of blood drip onto his shirt. "I tell ya, ain't it somethin', though? Now we're gonna get outta school for the week! SAY!"

Her face brightened for an instant before twisting into a mischevious grin. "There's only an' hour or two left today, right? What say we blow off our last classes an' hit the town?"

User Image"Huh, suit yerself," she replied dully. She smirked at the sight of the brawny guy slinking away from her, his face beet-red. As he turned away, she gave him a hearty slap on the back, piping, "You take GOOD care now, ya hear?"

Just as she was about to leave, she caught a red spot out of the corner of her eye. "Oh, hey! HEY!" she shouted. "Looks like you got some blood on your shoulder. You should prolly have that checked out."

User ImagePenelope stepped back as the EMTs went to work on Cait and Jay. As they packed the two girls up and rushed them out, all she was left with was the haunting voice of the strange girl she had seen earlier. Penelope hadn't had a moment to really process the exchange. Now that she did, she could really begin to appreciate the strangeness of it.

"Find me in Nature's Ceiling..." She muttered as she walked over to Josh. "Are you going to be okay?"

User Image"Eventually." It came out sharper than Josh intended and Penelope withdrew slightly. "Sorry."

"No, it's fine." Penelope muttered unconvincingly. "I have something I need to do after school. I won't be on the bus."

"Oh... okay..." Josh walked out of the room behind her and the short periods of the rest of school day flew by.

User ImageLindsay fully ignored Austin's glances and suffered through the short class periods. She was tired, had a headache, and, although in the face of crises earlier she had suppressed it, she was feeling a bit guilty for not doing something with the thieves. She resolved to go practice up on her electrical techniques after school, if only for a release, instead of sleep. She knew nothing she could've done that morning would have given her the chance to take on the thieves, but... well, the stress was doing its work on her nerves. She really needed a release, mostly emotional, from that morning in a way that only practice could give her... practicing was the one time she could be both in a secluded location and perfectly free with her abilities. No heroics, just work... mindless work at that, just to hone her abilities and moves.

Wait, I usually practiced at the old radio station before, working with the electrical equipment as a gauge of what I was doing... but on my last two visits, it's been locked up tight. I've got to find somewhere perfectly secluded to practice where I can't cause a scene... Lindsay thought, before thinking of the only other place where she knew not many people frequented: Adohi Forest. No one would be there, thanks to those superstitions... Little did Lindsay know that there was more than mist, trees, and animals within the forest...

However, at that moment, Lindsay was tiredly rejoicing at the lack of homework... Study, study, study, and... wow, study. I guess the teachers know that they're not gonna end up getting a lick of homework if they assign any after a day like today... even if we have like a week to do it...

Lindsay walked out to her car, threw her bag inside, and started it with a satisfying rumble. She turned up her Salutations Tuesday CD and drove toward the main road, wondering if she really wanted to practice in the forest... or practice at all. Deciding against it, she turned not towards the forest, but instead towards Grand Apple Arbor.

There wasn't a clock in the bathroom. He opened his eyes and looked into the mirror. How long had he been here. He sometimes just gets lost in thought. "Eh, it looks like things are calming down," Matt said to himself walking out of the bathroom and into the hallway. He had some of his books with him so he decided to drop them off at his locker. 9-11-32 he thought too himself turning the lock. With a click the door opened and he threw his stuff inside.

Mariana frowned. It looked like everyone was either leaving or tending to the wounded. "Looks like the party's over," she announced to nobody in particular. She gathered what few belongings she deigned to actually have in class and stepped out into the hallway.

It wasn't too far to her locker. People were slowly milling around, so she User Imagepushed her way through. Some people knew well enough to make way, but she did bump a few shoulders. Along the way, she hollered out to a few friends and strangers. She finally got to her locker and banged on the upper rim. It popped open.

She turned her head to the side, catching sight of one of her classmates. "Can y'beLIEVE all this chaos goin' on today?" she bellowed, not expecting any answer in particular. With one hand, she clamped onto the edge of her locker door; with the other, she rest her elbow on her neighbor's shoulder and pushed her hand through her hair. "FIRST we hear there're bleedin' robbers in the school, an' the next thing ye know there's all this drama and fists are flyin'. Some day, huh?"

Some girl walked up to the locker next to him and opened it, talking about the stuff that's been going on, she also leaned on him. "Oh, is that's what's happening? I kinda showed up in the middle of it, makes for a lot of confusion on my part," Matt said slipping out from underneath her shoulder. "Um... I've seen you around the school but never really caught your name," he continued slamming his locker shut, "Actually I really haven't caught anyone's name, I'm new around here."

As soon as the word "new" popped out of his mouth, her eyes brightened. "Izzat so! Well, I haven't heard of you, either. And I know User ImageEVERYbody, so I can't be havin' that! The folks 'round here call me Bloody Mary," she proclaimed emphatically. She leaned in and put one hand to her mouth, as if preventing an unknown eavesdropper from lipreading before finally lowering her voice. She added saucily, "an' me an' my boys kinda run things around here." She straightened out and patted him on the back. "I just GOTTA show ye around town now. But first..." She banged on his locker, causing it to spring open. "You'd better double-check yer locker. The suits around here get all paranoid when somethin' goes down around here. It's better than even money that they'll do 'raaaaaandom' locker sweeps pretty soon, an' they'll take everythin' seriously."

She turned to her own locker and started cleaning shop. As her nimble hands picked through the rubble, various oddities were brought to light: a couple switchblades, a few unmarked tupperware containers, at least half a pound of well-bloodied bandages, several bits of money, and a few odd files. After shoving most of it in her pack, she drew a photograph of a slightly balding man from what appeared to be a dossier. "This dude here? He's the VeeP. If you see him comin' down the hall, you'd best stash your stuff."

"Yea, you see I've got this bad habit of only putting school stuff in my locker. So even if I had any stuff that would get me in trouble, I wouldn't keep it in a public place like a school. But thanks for the advice," Matt said shrugging and once again closing his locker. Then he continued, "So yea, I'm Matt Andersson, and I'll make a point to stay out of that guy's," he pointed at the photo, "way, I've always been one to keep a low profile and with all the activity around here that shouldn't be hard."

Mariana's face looked a bit angry for a bit, but then a wicked grin spread User Imageacross her face. "Hah! Well, Andersson, looks like you got a bit of a mouth on ya. You got moxy, kid!" She gave him a playful punch on the arm. "Gimme a sec."

She whipped out one of her switchblades and took it to the photo. She diligently chopped the guy's head off his shoulders and worked her way around it until it fell off. She reached back in her mouth, took out a piece of gum, and attached the vice principal's head to a raunchy, barely-tame photo on her locker door. "There, that'll give 'em somethin' to look at." She put the remainder of her photo in her knapsack and folded up the knife. "So, let's get goin', shall we? There's a lot o' town to see before closin' time!" She smirked at the boy and elbowed her locker shut.
