blacklamb Tanahi I used to be a member of an all-girls guild. I liked the fact that no one...hit on me. No one flirted with me and no one tried to give me something, expecting something in return. One thing I disliked was that our Raid Leader compaired everyone's strength to her friend's Warlock. After my first Karazhan run, she kept reminding me that my attack power wasn't good enough, and that unless I couldn't improve it, I wouldn't go raiding with the guild again. I didn't have the guts to PuG heroics in order to gear myself, and the guild never wanted to do them. I felt that it was unfair, and left. When I joined with my new guild, mostly consisting of men, constantly wanted to instance and gear up and improve themselves. They actually wanted to help me gear up. They actually helped me acquire Tier Four pants. No one hits on me, either. I am a girl and I'm...nice. I act positive, and helpful, because, that is just how my personality is. But, I also know what the I'm doing...so I suppose that counteracts the cuteness? I dunno. I don't flirt in guild chat, because that s**t's embarrassing. I don't ******** talk unless someone needs me.
That sounds kind of odd... why wouldn't they want to help you? :/ You kind of sound like me in that last aspect, I don't usually talk unless someone talks to me. sweatdrop I also seem to be flirt-unaware. I've had people apologize for flirting (one told me he shouldn't be flirting because he has a girlfriend....) and i was just like, "Wait... what? When did you start flirting?" Although I have low self esteem and often find it hard to accept when people show interest in me, even on the internet... :/
A friend of mine just told me that a girl transfered to our server recently because she caused so much drama on her last... He mentioned something about her leaving behind like 9 nude pics of herself. >.> Well....most of them are casual players and are either undergeared or uninterested in progression of anything besides Kara. I'm ambitious and want to make it to Black Temple someday. I liked them, but...it felt stagnant. And since I was being pushed with no methods to improve myself, I felt that I had do leave. Yeah, I'm flirt-unaware, too. If someone is super-ultra nice to me, I just think, "Man, he's really nice!" I'm kinda...slow when it comes to dealing with folks, and can't really judge flirting, or even sarcasm. Omg, that is just awful about the girl. :l I...really don't know what to say.

heheh reminds me of me and my guild..im a co gm in one of the best pvp guilds on the outland server( EU ) ,furthermore, from all the 140 members of the guild, only two members are female ,which is me and another fellow officer. Quite funny how we both get the best treatment and such sometimes. Poor deprived men in the guild =] (no offence to male WoW players <3)
But yeah i agree on the most girls being bitches part to be honest, very RARELY do i actually get along well enough with a fellow female player.Oh well !

My guildmaster is female, and even older than me, and everyone in the guild loves her, but we would never treat her like a spoiled princess... The other way around though, she pampers us with everything she's got o.o Now, we are quite alot of females in the guild, and not that many young males, so the hormones are 'ok' *lol* After we got some teenager in who got a handful of his friends in too, our overall IQ dumped though *rofl* But no, we girls are not treated like small spoiled children in the guild, and we never treat others like that. We work very well together, thanks to our well filled guild bank, so we don't have to... Only one who is always on me is a hunter whom we always have with us in Kara. He is always setting traps in front of me when I heal, and takes aggro, should the tank miss one. Although he always flirts with me and protects me, it's just a part of his job in the team, and the flirting is an RP thing, he knows my formerly boyfriend is also in the team, and they fight for fun... Understand the boys <_<'

Kiloran from these responses, i can't tell if it's more of a hassle or more of a great way to get free stuff. if only i had a feminine voice. sad this one kara run, we were on the vent server of a guild on stormrage. by the time we were done for the night, we had about ten members of that guild in the kara channel with us, listening to me speak. so, i GUESS that got our kara a vent server... but I pay for my guild's vent, so it really wasn't all THAT helpful......

I've never had anything like that happen. Most of my guild knows I'm a girl, and they don't care very much. Which is nice. 3nodding

I've never had anything free given to me for being a girl or anything, but I have had several people harass me constantly, even though they knew I was engaged. sweatdrop Even if someone tried to give me stuff for being female I would just kindly refuse it, as I have more fun actually working for my stuff, lol.

Well I'm always switching from guild to guild cause I don't like the people in it and most of them are guys ( I am a guy) but they all just need to grow up so I created my own guild and just do what I want (only member) But honestly whenever I'm on I'll give free Items cause I don't need them like my friend she is always needing things to disenchant and after all the runs I do I'll mail her the B.o.E for her to disenchant or if I make jewelry I mail it to her but yes most people in Guilds just need to grow up..((if you want to continue this conversation PM me ))

I have a vanity guild so I can't say I have that problem. wink
I have a very tight knit group of friends I have made in the game however. We all help each other out regardless of who it is without an ulterior motive to it.

I think you basically just found a real guild, what a guild is suppose to be. 3nodding
I love my guild on Earthen Ring, they are a great bunch of people, everyone helps you out if ya need it, its not required or anything, but we do it because we want to and because we are guildies smile
The thing you mentioned about the shards happened to me aswell, i had rolled for a large prismatic shard and won it at the end of a Heroic SP run. Then they said everyone roll for the void crystal, i passed because i already got the prismatic, but they kept on telling me to roll because void cyrstals are not very common or what not, so i rolled and i ended up winning that one aswell.
But really what i am trying to say is, my guild does alot for me, and everyone, and i do a ton for them aswell. Its not about your gender cause i am a guy, my character, plus vent proves that one lol But its more about helping the guild and your friends. biggrin

hm, i missed the other part you said in your first post.
People shouldn't give ya things just to get on your good side, a gift is something a friend gives their friend because they are...friends lol 3nodding
I give tons of stuff to my guild, directly and indirectly. If i pick up things that i don't need, but could really help the guild, i don't go an sell it, i always check if the guild needs it, or place it in the guild bank.
Also in my guild we help each other out with our professions, if someone needs something made or enchanted, then we will do it for them, but we believe in people farming for themselves, so usually we want them to have the mats required, but now and then we supply our own to help our friends out. The reason a guild helps each other out in this way is because if your in a good guild, you become really good friends with each other and you wanna see the guild progress.
I can understand if people are randomly giving you stuff to make your character better, because it will in the long run help the guild out, maybe they want to see you tanking more often and want ya to be geared really well for it. smile
