So I've been switching guilds a lot lately. And my latest one invited me in for liking my tanking. They said that they would help me get all good and geared for kara and whatnot (exact same thing happened in the last guild). However... they already had two groups going to kara, and I only got the chance to OT for them once and that was because their usual one was gone. >.> So, because I was not really getting anywhere, I left for yet another guild who liked my tanking. dramallama I've OT'd for them twice now and plan to go again next week as well. The thing is... they all know I'm a girl because I actually talked on vent this time through.
Two things have come of this: 1) they all talk to me constantly, and I'm really not good with conversations, being uber shy. So that's the bad part. The good part? They give me free stuff all the time. O.o
We did an SP run and the mage (DE'er) gaver me both the void crystal and the prismatic shard when I only won one (he won the other).
Before that, the same mage gave me three prismatics to help get the mats for my 35 agility enchant to my earthwarden. Then offered to go farm primals with me (he was thinking of the wrong enchant). And he is not really a nice guy. I heard him talking on vent for hours.... not a nice kid. >.> When we got to prince, they were complaining of having not enough dps so I offered to leave (I don't have a dps set and that is what I had to do). One guy said yeah, get rid of me. But the rest were just like "No, keep her, she gives us MOTW. That's help enough." So... we wound up downing him anyway, but I felt completely useless just because they were trying to be nice.
But really now, have you ever been in a position where so many people were trying to get on your good side that it's just insane/ridiculous? Would you/do you accept free things in positions such as this one?
Or... do you do stuff like that? >.>

I have heard of things like that happening, but I don't think it happens too much in my guild. I often joke about needing to go find a guild filled with just young teenage boys. wink
My guild is filled with mostly older people who are married, engaged, or cohabitating and committed. So I think we are all equally nice to people regardless of their sex. Although I do have one male friend who my partner calls my "b***h" because of how often he helps me. xp That's just the way he is though.
We used to have one guy who would always rez girls first though. xp

LOL. MoTW is the crappiest buff in the game. xD
Btw, get free stuff from trash guilds and go into a guild where you actually earn things in my opinion. You'll look at the gear you earn as more of an accomplishment then things given to you. Not that I'm saying turn down free stuff. But a guild whos giving away items because your a girl probably isn't going to really do to well in the long run if they aren't doing things for the betterment of the guild. IE, kick the non-dpser out of the group when you aren't taking down prince

I honestly think everyone should be social to each other, no matter what age, sex, class or level they are, but it just so seems to be that there are a whole lot of anti-social people playing video games

End game buff I meant.
AI=Better
PW:Fort=Better
Kings/Wisdom/Salvation/Might=Better
Little stam buff imp gives=Better
DS=Better
Am I leaving something out? Oh, well I guess thorns is worse, lol.

Thorns does not get the attention it deserves sometimes. xp Slightly off topic, I went up against an arena team with a warlock who gave her team water breathing. Now, I am not saying water breathing sucks, I just don't see where it would come in handy in arena. Maybe I am missing something. I don't know. xp

No one in the guild does that to me, whether because I've talked to like, three of them on Vent & they're never on. XP
I do get this kind of thing in PuGs though, where I say 'hi' or some commands over VC, once in a while. I say the slightest thing, then people are whispering me asking how old I am, where I live, do I have a boyfriend, what do I do for fun, & so on & so forth.
I've had people pass instead of rolling against me on stuff (I always offer to help them get it in return), give me free enchants (& refuse payment), & just send me random s**t in the mail (like when I went 'whoo-hoo, Eternium' after mining some in SV, one of them mailed me a stack D: ).
I feel kind of bad, but I'm not mooching off them on purpose, & I try to be at least friendly with the ones that aren't utterly ******** creepy. >_< Still, I don't -like- getting stuff because I'm a girl, but it is sort of weirdly useful.

I never thought of that. 3nodding Yeah, it always sucks to realize I just spent 600 mana to steal waterbreathing.On-Topic: I'm helpful to both genders....if I see someone on the road running towards me, I buff them. If they're fighting something, I join in...(Yes, even to the opposite faction.) However....I would rather group with a girl, because 7 times out of ten, they're not as much of a jerk. Except this one warlock....mean-o-rama. I guess it fits the class....

The only guys I've ever raided/PvPed/played this game with are all either friends from school or guys that are more concerned with how much people suck than what they've got for their downstairs mix-up. The funniest "lawl imma girl" experience I ever had was when I did a pug ZG for shits and giggles and the guys in the raid all freaked when I started asking about who the MT was, etc. "Holy s**t is there a girl in the raid?" "Come here often?" etc.
It loses its hilarity pretty quickly, especially when I hear girls giggling and saying they don't know what they're doing in AB premades. Well, uh, then leave.

I don't get free stuff cause I'm a girl, mostly cause I make it quite clear that anything I want I can get myself unless I ask for help. I have gotten [Red Rose] and [Mageroyal] from some guys. (mageroyal? honestly? noobs) Otherwise it's just blatant flirting or trying to piss me off by attacking my b/f. The wonders of men. ;_;
