Yeah, but it's summer for Australia. This summer I'll get from.. -thinks- from mid-June to early-October. That's like.. 3 and a half months.. cool
Also it means when it's our summer they get a puny number of weeks. ;D Nothern hemisphere > you.
Meh, 3 and a bit months is roughly equal to 13 weeks, give or take a few days. Plus I only stated the minimum amount of holiday time I get. Really, from the start of November to the beginning of March, I have practically no work or classes at all. That's like 4 months.
pirate And so what if us Southerners get a short break when you have your long break? When it's your summer, it's our winter, so of course our mid-year break would be short. There's one thing you northeners don't enjoy...a Christmas that isn't actually freezing cold!!!
blaugh Plus I think it makes more sense to have school years that coincide with the annual calendar, rather than being split in half over two years.
