Yes, Genres are set in stone. But you are both still biased, they may be set in stone, but they are also a shady topic. So just drop it, no matter how much you two argue neither of you will yield, and I can guarantee that.

BassFu That's not a Christmas song confused They play it at christmas, it has a very upbeat Christmas-y sound to it, it can be found on every Christmas play list. Need I say more? Played almost exclusively at Christmas time = Christmas song

Played almost exclusively at Christmas time = Christmas song Christmas song = song about Christmas. Song played mostly around Christmas =/= Christmas song. Baby It's Cold Outside was about trying to get laid, not very Christmassy in my eyes. The Monster Mash is played every Hallowe'en but it wasn't intended to be a holiday theme song.

But then by that logic, Fairy Tale in New York, though mentioning Christmas, played exclusively at Christmas, being constantly associated with Christmas, isn't a Christmas song, because its not about Christmas.

Meh. I'll take it where I can get it. I mean, how many kids listen to this song and know this guy is just trying to ******** this chick, rather than go home in the bitter cold and whack it?
Nearly everyone everywhere associates the song with Christmas.

If the main theme of the song isn't Christmas it's not a Christmas song. A song being associated with Christmas and being about Christmas are two different things. I'm sure a lot of people could figure out the meaning behind BICO if they listened to lyrics.

But, what is Christmas, if not having a good time and celebrating Christ's birth? And what better way than getting really drunk and ******** a chick? I think I've made my point.

5-Star Emo [Hollow Point] You should have pwned her hardcore. Fricken started busting out all the facts on her a**. Told her she is a trendy little b***h who has no idea what the subculture is actually about. idk. i means whats the point. they're like cockroaches. u wipe them out nd they come back stronger. they're so stubborn now. its a waste of time and breathe. i end up walking away from them now. there is no hope. the genre is lost. But emo's can't survive nuclear fallout. sad
