Dante went to grab it immediately. But it was too hot, and it burned his hands. "Ah! This heat! Why is the food so hot?"

"One it was in a thing called and oven which cooks food using heat, second you don't use your hands you use silverware." he cocked his head. "Forks knives spoons?" I picked up a fork "Fork put it in the food keep in on the fork then stick it in your mouth." I demoed it. "Like that."

It was weird, but it made some sense to Dante. He picked up a fork and took a bit of the food with it. He took a bite. It had cooled a bit, so it wasn't burning. But the flavor went straight to his head. He continued to eat without saying a word.

Good thing I dressed casual he never looked at me the whole time. I ate my food then did the dishes.

After Dante finished, he watched as April did the dishes. He felt obligated to at least say something. "Thank you for the food." He said, figuring that he should at least be grateful that she had given him something to eat.

"It's no biggie I had to cook my own dinner anyway." I finished washing the dishes. I had done an up-do with my hair which was now begining to fall apart oh well. I sat down and watched TV since there was nothing better to do.

Dante saw the tv and was curious about it. How could people survive in such a small box? He went up to it and looked, but there didn't seem to be a way that so many people could fit in such a small box. He continued to examine the tv.

"It's called a TV and no there's not people inside cameras film it somewhere and then they put it on the TV." I flipped the channels nono still nothing. Geez for a Friday night they've got nothing on.

This made more sense than putting people inside of a box. With the mystery cleared up, Dante sat on all fours next to the couch. He saw many different things happening on the tv.

Dante heard a soft thump. April had fallen asleep. There had been a blanket on her lap. He pulled it up to cover her. As he stared at her, memories from his past began to stir. A tear fell from his eye. He couldn't bring himself to leave, so he did something else. Using a latent ability that had been restricted to emergency use by his elders, he made himself appear to be a dog. He then kept watch during the rest of the night, before falling asleep in front of the couch.

Some time in the morning I woke up. I felt my foot tap something. When did I get a dog? I poked it awake. "Hello doggie how did you get here?" I pet the dog. "Your a very cute doggie but...."
