Kanoshima grew up in Iwagakure spending most of his youth simply being a kid, with no real goals of becoming a shinobi, despite his families long tradition of shinobis. That all changed when the demons attacked. In the first attack two of his family members had been killed, and many of his friends were injured severely. Kano immediately entered the academy, hoping that he could learn to protect the village from any such atrocity. Then the second attack occurred, though Kano had trained hard, there was little he could do in the face of beast, he simply hadn't had enough time to learn. He watched in awe as the other shinobi of the village fought the beast head on, while he did his best to help those that were trying to flee. Now that things have calmed down some, Kano has begun his training once more in earnest, and hopes that in time he will become strong enough to keep his village safe.

Kōga's family was originally from Kirigakure and went by sir name or Roronoa, Kirigakure was also the village in which Kōga was born. Kōga had lived in Kirigakure until he was six when devastation racked his family and hsi clan was attacked after the death of their lord. Kirigakure was in a constant state of war as it was and the savage nature alone of the village was no great place to live. His parents already saw that Kirigakure was no place to raise a child and this coupled with the attack on their clan made them realize they had to leave. When their clan was attacked Kōga's parents fled in the aftermath. The bodies piling up would make it hard to tell who was who, but Kōga's father made sure to leave signs that made it seem as though they had died so that the village would not send their assassins to kill them. Making their way across the sea to the north they eventually made it to the Land of Lightning and then to Kumogakure. The moment the family came within a few miles of the village they were stopped by Kumogakure Jonin. Kōga's father was taken before the Raikage and made a plead for his family if not for all of them. Under the watchful eyes of the Raikeage's top ninja Kōga's parents made the village their new home. Kōga's father Kōtaro thought it best they change their name and so they took on the surname of Fūma, while only Kōga bor the name Roronoa. His father was a great ninja within the Kirigakure military arm, but then dedicated his abilities to Kumogakure for his. Shortly after settling into Kumogakure an uprising in the small villages across the country struck the village. A small civil war broke out and the Ninja of Kumogakure were called to action. Kōga's father Kōtaro rose to greatness within the village and him and his family were accepted fully into the village. Seeing that dedication to the village Kōga his mother, and his father were granted full citizenship and Kōga was enrolled into the ninja academy in hopes of becoming a great ninja like his father. Time passed and Kōga studied in the academy but also under his father in the ways of the Roronoa clan taking on the physical disciplines and watching his father practice with his swords. Six years of study coupled with the grueling training under his father that followed turned Kōga into a Taijutsu expert by the time he was twelve. A year later Kōga's father was killed in action on a secret assignment for the Kumogakure. With the loss of his father Kōga did not know what to do. What was once a happy go lucky kid turned cynical and serious. He loss all emotion and became wrapped up in his training becoming void the perfect assassin and embodiment of his training.

╫Character Description╫
