Ialo was savagely pleased that the lightning idea worked. If nothing else, it made Horus angry, and that was amusing to watch as long as one disregarded the idea of being attacked by said angry Horus.
The dragon shot up farther above the building to dodge the raptor, and repeated the lightning attack.
((Well, there goes that Ferrari.))

Sly shrugged, looking over at Night. "It's strange...It's like she'd here, but she's not. It's like they're right under our noses, but somehow we're oblivious..." Sly had never enjoyed being oblivious about anything.

Kai stopped mid step looking at Ialo once more. "On second thought I will sit this one out ... Ialo seems to be in a dark mood right now." A grin spread across Kai's face as he retreated back to his spot against the wall looking at the battled that ensued.
"I hate the thought of hunting gods ... We have no way to track her, no way to track them, no way to do anything!" He slammed his armored fist to the ground causing a shock wave of dark energy to surge throughout the ground. "b*****d ancients."

Out of nowhere, dark clouds formed in the sky over Sly and Night. With a rumble of thunder, a flash of lightning, the rain came suddenly, unexpectedly, and obviously not from natural means.
"...I don't think they appreciated that, kid." Sly said, and with a sigh conjured a huge umbrealla over their heads, while around them the rain pounded.
Inside the illusion world, Salem glanced sharply at Troy as they all sat around eating ice cream cones. Troy had a smug gleam in his eye, always the most defensive of the Ancients. Unable to say anything in front of the girl, Eldest communicated telepathically with him instead, his voice full of disapproval.
'Now you've gone and confirmed their suspicions that we're still around. Tonight we'll move, but for now...lay low.' He commanded, and across the table from him, Troy rolled his eyes before replying,
'The cocky little thing dared say they were 'hunting' gods, then called us bastards...He should have more respect for his elders.' He replied with a shrug, then caught Addie's eyes and flashed a grin, reaching over easily to wipe a bit of bubble gum ice cream from her chin.

Night sighed kneeling down on the ground. "Damn it ... damn it all, they're toying with us... and we still have no idea where they are... well we know they're here but not where here." He grumbled walking walking out of the umbrella as his human self took over. "We need to find her ... not just to save her ... to help her ... I made a promise I'll help her stop that sick prophecy ... dieing to kill satin for the ancients ... I'm amazed they can't do it themselves."

Eldest heard the words from Night's mouth, and closed his eyes, knowing the pain the other man must be feeling, unable to help, unable to do anything. It was a bit careless, but it would do no harm, so when Night asked why the Ancients couldn't just do it themselves, Eldest spoke to him telepathically, and his very tone spoke power and age.
'It was not for us to do, young man. It was the fate chosen by our little warrior to fight he who destroyed the underworld. You need not worry for the little one. We shall put right what we made so wrong, and she will remember, she will live, and she will fight. It is the solution you must be content with...'
His voice trailed off, and once more, Sly and Night were alone amidst the pouring rain.

Night sighed closing his eyes as he felt the link between The god and him. "Perhaps ... We will find her soon." He chuckled as the cold rain sailed down on him in waves. "You can go back if you need to sly ... I'll be reconnecting with my past." With that he walked away from sly as the seemingly endless rain drenched him.

Sly sighed in defeat when Night simply began walking away. "Yes...Yes, I've funeral arrangements to see to." He said, and he turned on his own heel, walking straight into a portal that he conjured up on the fly. He ended up outside Cook's shack, and saw the man, still covered in blood, was busy wrapping caution tape around a sectioned off bit of earth, about fifty yards from the house, underneath the shade of a huge, ancient tree.
Knowing exactly what the man was doing-who wouldn't be able to guess?-Sly walked over with a heavy heart, spotted the shovel propped against the tree. He knew the man could control stone, but there were times, he knew, when it was better to use manual labor.
"I take it you didn't bring back baby girl's soul." Cook said, though his back was still turned towards him. It wasn't a question, so Sly only sighed, rubbing his hands on his pants. "No...It seems those gods...Ancients she was so devoted to took off with her soul once she died. They're not giving it back. She deserves a funeral service." He said suddenly, and Cook paused momentarily to glance at Sly. His face was still distorted from tears, still slicked with blood that wasn't his own.
"And she'll have one. You shouldn't concern yourself with my kin, Sylvestser." He said, and Sly winced, accepting the verbal blow. "You've every right to hate me, and I wouldn't blame you if you took a few shots at me...But not here, where we'll soon lay my...our daughter into the ground." He said, and silence reigned once more when Cook didn't come forth with a reply.

((No pressure or anything, Ialo.)) Hours later, Danni's two fathers by all rights stood outside the shack, where Zapporo had arrived. Cook had sent him off to a friend, who'd put a rush order on a coffin and a stone. Unashamed, Cook let the tears run down his face as he read the inscription on the stone. It read: Isadora Danni Rinaldi Beloved Daughter and Sister She walked the line between black and white. To know her was to love her, though few had the pleasure. It fit, as it had been meant to, and the coffin was gorgeous, made of oak. She would not be cremated, burned away into dust. Her body would remain here, intact, inside the silk-lined coffin they'd paid dearly for. While they'd waited, a devastated Sly had used magic to cleanse away the blood and grime from Danni's skin and hair, had conjured clothes on her that he hoped she'd approve of. She wore the ribbons he'd given her in her hair, and a blue blouse with black slacks. But on her feet she wore her scarred work boots, and, unable to keep looking into her unseeing eyes, he'd shut them himself, his fingers trembling as they touched her eyelids. She'd looked like she was sleeping then, just taking a little nap. She'd bled out, and quickly, on the ground outside the school, something he'd take care of later. He knew that he'd have to tell his other children what had happened. But he couldn't bring himself to do so now, not as he stood here with Cook, studying his daughter's stombstone, glancing over at where her grave would be. How did you tell your children that their sister was dead? He thought of Ambrose, the way he'd never pushed Danni away, even after everyone else had. Oh, no...

While Danni's corpse was at the school Night, on the other hand, was Sitting in front of a kindled building in America. the dark sky was a ominous gray like it had been for five years. The remains of decayed, burnt toys sat idly in the dirt yard. In his hand he grasped a folded note he had Found sitting in the remains of the building, untouched by time or nature.
"Dear Night, if you've actually Found this note before someone else it's more then likely Danny has died a horrible and graphic death, AND that I'm not alive to tell you this crap myself. A while Ago you may remember an attack on this pathetic rubble you used to call home, An attack from a Crazed god that makes a lot of copies of himself ... Riser. During the attack you Died trying to help the other children at the orphanage escape, And thanks to you many did ... but others weren't so lucky.
Now I won't lie to you, but you were sent on the express way too hell cause of those dark powers of yours, But a few years after the attack I found your soul in hell, quite pathetic I might add, And bound your Withered soul too one of my eyes that you noticed floating around, Which in turn bound your a** to me. While bound to me you fed off my life sort of like a leech, then came the day I Transferred that Link with me to Danni*Without asking her for permission apologize to her for me if you ever see her soul in hell at some point* who is at the time of me writing this is in my tower unconscious on my bed.
ANYWAY Once Danni died her unforeseen death It cut off the eye's power supply, Killing it, leaving only your soul in the shell you slowly grew for yourself from Mine and Danni's life force, good job by the way. As you've also noticed that 'Shell' has taken on the look of your former self without demonic influence.
Well Since I'm dead and may never come back I wish you luck, and would like to happily tell you your real name is Jackal, But I would stick with just Night." -Kai P.S see you where ever the heck I end up after I die.
(yay for summing up in a random crappy letter)
Night Crumbled up the Paper lighting it on fire with a wave of his hand. "Man ... Kai's an a** ... He could have told me this before." getting up from the ground he stumbled away from the orphanage; closing his eyes he Saw the old town he lived in the children playing, the adults walking the streets. for a moment Night felt at peace, but with a sharp crack of lightning his eyes popped back open bringing him back too the charred plain of land. the rain he had recently left behind catching up to him again. "... Danni"

It was night again in Addie Harper's world, as the Ancients controlled the length of the days, and so forth. So she was sleeping, Eli at her side, when another dream came, unexpected. 'Danni...'The voice, quiet and dark, wasn't menacing, but...she felt she should recognize it, but she didn't. And she thought that was a shame, because he sounded so...sad wasn't the word, but it was as close as she could get to a description.
Then, without warning, an image came to her brain, of a blue haired girl with the wind in her face, a cloak being blown back as she stood in the middle of a clearing, her expression defiant. And beside her was a man, dark and dangerous, but there was a slight smile on his face, and hers, as they put their faces to the wind, while above them a storm brewed. There was no thunder, only the clouds, only the approach of rain. If there'd been thunder, she'd have been inside. But since there wasn't, she stood there with this strange man, whose feet didn't seem to quite touch the ground, and felt...at peace.
In the dream, the girl with the blue hair turned to the man, grinned and bared her teeth, as though daring the skies to open up. "Mother Nature's in a bitchy mood today, boy-o. This is why I love life. You can have some serious badass, all set and ready to wreak major havok, and then my girl Mother Nature here unleashes a convenient earthquake or something and puts the b*****d right back in his place. No matter what the fates have to say, my best girl doesn't follow someone else's agenda. Nope, Mother Nature here does what she wants, when she wants, and to hell with anyone who gets in her way. When I kick the bucket, that's the first person I want to meet. I'm still not convinced that she doesn't actually exist." She said, then threw her head back and laughed, and the sound was defiant, as though daring Mother Nature to give her her worst.
Suddenly thunder rumbled across the sky, lightning lit up the dark clouds. THe girl froze midlaugh, already backtracking towards the castle in the background. She grabbed the man's hand, tugging him along. "Come on, boy-o, looks like I pissed her off. Let's get inside before I have a panic attack." She was laughing again as she dashed across the clearing, and the dream ended as she swung around the castle, towards a tired old shack with smoke coming out of the chimney.
Addie rolled over in her sleep, and muttered a single word in the dark. That word was 'Night'.

Night was busy looking into the seemingly endless downpour of rain. constant lightning Danced across the sky as the wasteland around him slowly turned to mud. Altho the world around him was turning into a blob of gray Night was content on looking at the sky as the downpour continued. Without warning Danni's voice echoed in his mine '"Night" the Sky blurred into a solid ceiling the wasteland that surrounded him Shrank as walls phased into sight blocking out the unpleasant view .
He looked around seeing he was in a room he had never seen before. in front of him lay a girl fast asleep. Who was she, the girl who was sleeping with a dog next to her? One name stabbed into his mind "... Danni" He said with a breathless gasp. No, she couldn't be danni. He was obviously going insane, He convinced himself, from looking for her that he was content on believing anyone was Danni. He rubbed his eyes walking to the end of the room she wasn't facing and peered out the window into the clear night.
