YOU HAVE MY DAGGER - IN YOUR FACE.Deacon really didn't like being so out in the open like this, with nowhere to try and run or hide. At least in the trees he could zigzag and get a few steps ahead. He lurched backward to avoid a strike toward his gut that still grazed him, the mannequin mimicking his movement when he tried to shove the dagger into its own gut, only it succeeded and didn't take a scratch.

YOU HAVE MY DAGGER - IN YOUR FACE.Repeating his previous attempt, Deacon sunk the tip of his blade into the stomach area of the mannequin. Smirking his pleasure at that, he leaped back when it tried to counter. He was doing better than he expected and his confidence was rising in result. At least until he got one of those strange hands striking him across the jaw. Apparently he hadn't dodged far enough...

YOU HAVE MY DAGGER - IN YOUR FACE.In lunging forward to attempt to again sink the blade into the mannequin's leathery body, Deacon stumbled forward as the puppet dodged to the side. The hard, painful strike of the thing's elbow on his shoulder blades sent him to the ground for a moment before the tabby scrambled back to his feet and took a defensive stance once more.

YOU HAVE MY SWORD/DAGGER - IN YOUR FACE.
The mannequin was as quick and light on its feet as the previous ones had been, and this made Whisper excited. She didn't want a dud, after all, that would be no fun at all. It arrived quickly, and got caught up in all the little details she had put in to her fort. It stumbled back, trying to free itself from the vine, clearly having issues. It fell back on to the rocks, and Whisper smiled. Not quite as she had planned, but it was good enough.
The mannequin slowly got to its feet, the vine falling loosely hanging from its thin frame. It seemed to be ready for the next attack, and so was Whisper.

Whisper lunged forward, swiping quickly at the mannequins torso. She barely missed, and it tried to counter. Luckily for her, she dodged it with out much effort. She tried to get a few feet of distance between her and her opponent, so she could plan her next attack a little easier.
Inhale; exhale. She made sure that she kept any other thoughts from surfacing, only focusing on the battle before her. If she had tried to fight this battle before the previous lessons, she would have been worrying about so much that didn't matter. Now she was able to properly focus and kick a**.

These stupid things were stronger than before.

YOU HAVE MY DAGGER - IN YOUR FACE.While he was still down, apparently the mannequin decided that stomping on him would be a good plan. He rolled out of the way, taking a cutting swipe at the offending leg in the process, before he leaped to his feet.

Good thing Deacon was familiar with that attempt, and had plenty of practice dodging it. Unfortunately it still startled him enough that he didn't try to stab...

The ghoul zig zagged towards her enemy, keeping her dagger at her side until the last possible moment. Just when the mannequin tried to attack, she lunged the dagger into its side. Unfortunately that didn't stop the doll from hitting her in return. She winced a little and dislodged the dagger, continuing to run past the mannequin.

YOU HAVE MY DAGGER - IN YOUR FACE.The mannequin reached down, as though it wished to help him up. Deacon fortunately knew better and seized it by the wrist to pull it down, jabbing his blade up under the rib cage in the descent.
