Henna finished tightening ever garment the prince owned then left quietly, gesturing for her assistant to follow. "Come on, we've work to do." She was smiling widely and seemed to be in much better of a mood. The air of murder had been though off and she was the same sweet kind soft young seamstress she had been hours before.
Henna walked quickly back up to her work room and started to sew Lace onto the almost finished outfit. She hummed softly as she sewed and every so often gave a sigh of contentment. “Alex?” She asked dreamily. “What do you want to be?” She was asking about his dream profession, she loved to know people hopes, sometimes if she knew them she would try and make them happen if she could.

"Well I don't know about the castle but this ere is the seige gate. . . You aint from around ere are you?" The guard asked at random. "The castle doesn't let the city guard protect it's gates. Just the seige. Up the path ere is the main gate so you ot to head up at ask them these. . . uhhh. . ." The man had to stop for a moment. Looking around he pushed a stone around then scratched his head. Then his head popped up to look at the men. "Questions. Thats it." He said a little proud of himself.

((Erm uh... the uh... inner gates to a city usually are the castles main gates. You've got the outer city(siege) gates, which block entrance to the city, the inner city gates, which block entrance to the the castle grounds, and then the Inner Sanctum, which is basically the entrance gates the the Keep or Castle itself rather...))

((o my mistake. I always thought that the city had it's own gates then the inner gates where to protect the castle from sieges and then the castle's main gate to the fortress. anywho you get the idea at what i was at. chalk it up to the stupidity of the guy at the gate. ninja ))

((Actually I think we just said the same thing but just got them mixed up lol. In a sense we're both right. Usually a big castle will have outlying farms and such outside the city gates, and then things like the inns and such inside the first set of gates. Those gates protect from the initial siege. If those fall, the gates to the castle grounds are close. Usually on castle grounds you have emissaries, houses for barons, and other various government buildings. You also have the barracks and castle gardens and things like that. Usually you have to get permission to go past this point unless you are on official of the kingdom. After that you have one last set of gates which are the gates to the keep. These are usually always kept closed unless special permission is granted otherwise. Behind these gates usually lay a small enclosed corridor leading to the doors to the castle interior. The walls and such have slits for arrows to be shot through and slats in the ceiling to pour various molten liquids onto an opposing army that has made it that far.
... Sometimes I hate my accelerated courses back in middle school. We covered castles one and they made us build a 5 foot by 6 foot model of what one would look like. It sucked but it taught me stuff.
Anywho I'll try to figure something out. Don't really want to make myself look like an idiot in front of an idiot guard biggrin , but I don't want you to feel the fool either lol.))

"Well Lady Henna...I always wanted to be a scholar on the Tou Council and spend my time learning about others and customs, though being a slave and an Impure Blood made me realize I could never achieve such a dream...So now I settle for anything life provides for me."
Alexander didn't want to go too far into his wants due to the guilt it would give Henna. Instead he would just leave what he wanted alone and continue being an assistant to Henna. Alexander in truth always wanted to be part of the Tou Council as an Elder, but his heritage and social standings wouldn't allow such things. Alexander gave up on his hopes and dreams a long time ago; desires weren't for slaves since that would only be false hope.
"Though you shouldn’t be asking me such things..."
It wasn't really his choice to keep anything from Henna if she asked; the Slaver Seal made sure he always obeyed Henna unless it was too far above his disagreement. Alexander wasn't sad or depressed anymore because of his status in the world; he had come to terms with it on the same day his hopes and dreams died. Alexander’s current goal in life was to serve Henna till she or he himself died; thus was the binding of Alexander’s contract.

Henna rolled her eyes. "Why should I not be asking you that?" She asked glancing words him momentarily. "Where did you get that Idea?" She laughed and finished the outfit folding it neatly and smoothing it with soft experienced hands. She looked in complete bliss the way she did when she finished something she was proud of.
"A scholar.... I bet we can do that." She looked over at him again grinning. Henna loved bring people happiness, even if it cost her something. "What’s your greatest desire?” She leaned her chin in her hands and tilted her head.

((The one with the smart guards I assume? We'll just assume I passed the siege gate and am now at the other one lol)) Looking at the gate, Dainne quickly took a survey of the guards. Their uniforms were straight and clean. They stood at attention and had a certain alertness in their eyes. Nodding to himself, Dainne approached the guards. Let's try this one more time.
"My name is Dainne Alexander Vadlionne, Crown Prince of the Kingdom of Merional. Is the Captain of the Guard present? I wish passage and an audience with the head of the Gladaron family."

"One moment please." The guard said before going into the guard house. He conversed with another guard about what to do. "Do I just let him in? he says he's a prince or something.
the other guard replied. "Well we can't ask captain Grant maybe we should send someone to the counsel."
"yeah but we can't just have him stand here wile the guy goes."
"I guess he's going to have to." Then the same guard came out. "Well you can't speak to the captain right now but we are having someone ask the counsel if they wish to allow you in." The guard speech was a little shaky.

Alexander had no choice; he had to tell Henna wanted he wanted the most because of the seal on his hand. Alexander tried to resist the seal's power as best as he could, even gritting his teeth trying, but it was no use.
"I want power, wealth, and freedom..."
Alexander was exhausted trying to resist the seal's pulled and had a bit trouble breathing for a moment. Alexander exhaled and looked slightly embarrassed towards Henna, like he was ashamed of himself. Alexander didn't want to pressure Henna into releasing him; it was her right to keep his contract intact as long as she wanted, but all these questions would probably set her to think about it.
"Please Henna...Think nothing of what I say...Let us attend to more important matters now? Please?"

Henna got up worried. "What's the matter?" She asked. He was breathing hard and he looked very strange, like he was ill or something. "Why, stepped over and picked him up setting him on the edge of the table so that they could see eye to eye. "Why should I ignore what you say right after you say it?" She asked...She was unaware of his seal and was worried that he was sick or something was wrong with him. She gently smoothed his hair with her palms and rested her hands on his small shoulders.
"Power... Wealth... Freedom..." She thought over what he had said and closed her eyes momentarily. "I can't give you power, Wealth... I haven’t much of that to use on anything other than fabric for the royal family, for myself there is surprisingly little... But Freedom?... I guess I would hate being a slave to." She paused and walked over to her cabinet opening it to take out his contract. After she found it she grabbed a pencil and walked back over to him, setting it beside the small man.

Fuming Leon and Aiden stepped forward. "You would dare think to make His Majesty wait? Where is your Captain?" It seemed as though if an appropriate answer was not given that these two would not hesitate to attack the poor guard.Stepping forward, Dainne put a hand on Leon's shoulder. "That will be enough Leon, Aiden. It is only fair considering the fact that we failed to give prior notice of our visit." Turning to the guard he smiled slightly. "My apologies for this mans outburst. He is a loyal friend, and a better guard there is none. I'll wait for whomever I must, but I beg you to not make it long. There are matters of diplomacy I would like to discuss with His Majesty."(( Leon and Aiden can be accepted as prop characters right? They have no real history I feel like making up and are simply there to accentuate my position. Also they can make for some fun conversations in the future...))

"Henna...I don't know what to say..."
Alexander didn't want Henna to sacrifice his contract for his freedom, but he also wanted freedom and to finally be able to choose his own destiny. Alexander would stay with Henna as her assistant; he could still be a scholar and her assistant at the same time.
"You don't have to do this if you don't want to..."
Just a day ago Alexander despised all Dirt Bloods and hated their very way of life, but so many people had changed his opinions over time in just so little time. Henna though had truly changed his way of the Dirt Bloods and come to embrace them not as separate beings, but one and the same. Even if Henna didn’t free him, he would still hold her in regard as a friend. Alexander had wanted freedom for so long, but now he was even offering to give that up just so he wouldn’t displease Henna.
((I have to go now; my computer time is up.))

A strange cat man on a white dutch draft horse came out of the woods behind them. "Because they don't have a captain!" The man shouted. It seemed the man was a little intoxicated. The man made his way onto the road and tried to stand tall in the saddle. "The idiots of the counsel threw him out because they needed someone to blame for glowing doors." The man then threw a glass bottle at the castle wall. "Your all stupid!" He yelled leaning back in his saddle to look up at the top of the castle wall. In doing so he lost his balance and fell backwards off his horse. The horse proceeded to walk to a patch of grass not to far off shaking it's head as if saying "o great."
"Hey Jenny get back here." the man said trying to get up and failing miserably.
