ALL AWAKENED (GM PRP) PLAYERS:

You hear it first, and audible, loud, humming, buzzing noise, in the background. At first you believe everyone hears it, but noone else seems to be reacting to the noise. It gets louder, and for a sharp second, almost unbearable as the skies crack -

- And in the very sky itself, you see a deep, thick black gash that begins to spread several different directions, breaking off into bits and pieces. The world is crumbling soon. Time is running out.

OOC

Calling forth so many together at once is an event that weakens the Voice itself, setting all their own created players onto the field. With that come a few restrictions in their own power
- KINGS ARE NO LONGER PROTECTED IN THEIR KINGDOM. They can be pvped and killed. Their battle mechanics are the same, in their Kingdom they cannot attack unless attacked.
- While a King has assigned players to the battlefield, if others are feeling a little traitorous... well..... they could stay, maybe offer the King some fancy advice ** PVP IS ENABLED IN KINGDOMS**
- Kings can still heal themselves with the 200 HP pool in Kingdoms or in the battleground
- If an "awakened" player dies, at any point in time, the end up HERE. If ANY OTHER player INCLUDING KINGS dies in any point in time, the end up HERE.
- Once again, players if quoted by Kings are TECHNICALLY assigned to battle, depending on their colour either:
Purple, White Black --> HERE
Red, Blue, Gold, Green --> HERE
- If a NON- AWAKENED player does not post in the battlefield within 48 hours from when the event started (last night at 11am approx is when it started), they will be INSTANTLY KO'ED. Please DO however wait for your King's verdict in assignment.
- Lastly this is a very open ended part of the event. You can technically do as you please on the battlefield or in the Kingdom. However keep in mind it is IC for nonawoken characters to follow their King. It is IC for awoken characters to follow well... now that they know the truth.... MAKE SURE your actions can be ICly justified regardless.

ALSO ALL HP IS RESET FROM THIS POINT

There was a soft grunt at the gentle fist pressing against his side, and Gargantuan nodded with a reluctant frown. The wait was the worst part of it, he was starting to think. Standing there, staring at the roulette table, wondering if he'd finally manage to win a game. His luck had never been that good.

Ironic, if it finally turned around to net him the grand prize: his death in exchange for a little more time for his family.

Riyo's words earned an even deeper frown than Sammy had, but G knew he couldn't make this decision for her. The only thing he could do, even if he hated it, was to respect it. "...Yeah." His voice was gruff, and if his eyes looked brighter than normal, well, it had to just be her imagination.

"Doesn't mean I'm gonna like it." He told her, swallowing thickly as he gripped her hand as it touched his shoulder. "But I'll respect it. You're a strong girl. Both of you are.You can make your own decisions."

All had been normal until the sound reached her ears. Candace winced and covered her ears with her hands, stepping back away from everyone. Atropos tensed and held the woman against her, petting her hair and kissing the top of her head. She wouldn't cry out, she absolutely refused to, but Candace did bury her face against the taller woman and clutch her head tighter and tighter as the sound got louder. What was that cracking? She looked up to watch the ceiling crackle and break.

No..

Candace and Atropos both looked around. No one..noticed...?

Wide eyes searched the room for Rep and Jordan. They noticed, right? And Roar? Him too?

She stepped further away from the group and made her way back to Rep and Jordan. "Did you two..?" Please say yes.

The skinwalker still refused to let go. the restraint locked in tighter than ever. But Harrison needed people and Ying was always headstrong, she needed to be blocked. To Jing, his sisters life was more important than his own. "I'm in." he called out, despite the arm that was slowly crushing his neck, flailing to get some attention and flinging a chip from afar with his only free hand.

It took some effort but dragging both him and the dead weight of Nuk to the roulette wheel inch by inch was in his means. "Looks like someone's going to die tonight, so Nut up or shut up." he hissed aggressively to the dealer. If he wanted to watch, let him have the free show, but right now, all Jing wanted to do was gamble for his sisters safety. "Ying, you're not allowed to participate, I forbid it." he took on the air of the supposed older brother, it was a rarity for it to happen between the two of them, but his own glare spoke volumes of the phrase. "Do as I say, and sit tight."

Jordan looked up. The ceiling had come apart, and the sky above it was cracked, an ugly black crevasse creeping across the sky. Oddly, the sight calmed him. It served as a reminder that this place wasn't real. They were on a mission, and time was running out.

"Yeah," he said quietly as Candace approached. "Ferros, do - wait." He looked around, frowning. "Where did he go?"

"Most of it would just be kissin' unless she took the bull by the- Jealous?" He snorted, "Only that it's wasted. You know what I mean." The thought occurred as he turned to grin at her, much more feral than even the Blue Boxer had been. "Shits wasted on him."

And further comment was suddenly cut off by the world seeming to come apart from the seams. "********'-!" He glanced around. Only a few seemed to have spotted it.

The sound of the very sky ripping was impossible to miss, and Rep started in surprise, even while many of the others seemed not to notice as all. ******** hell s**t was going down. Time had to be running out. Panic was like ice in his veins, pressure narrowing and focusing his attention. There wasn't time to worry about what they were being called to do, simply time to react and respond as necessary. He felt like he'd skipped off the normal grid and into battle mode. It was time to do something, time to bring Harrison back.

For some reason the threat of the sky falling seemed apt.

Where worlds collide and days are dark.

Candace got a nod, his heart kicking up in speed.

He kept his voice low. "No ******** time left."

Jordan got a somewhat despairing look too. "Tracey isn't back yet either."

Indignant feminine fury rose up in her tiny little body. Ying wasn't the type to get too angry- frustrated, annoyed maybe, but never truly angry. Now she was a ball of red hot anger that threatene to kill everyone in the room.

How dare he volunteer. Why the hell would he do that? the plan was for both of them- or just him- to escape the city. There was no part where he died and no part where she was left alone in this god forsaken city.

Betrayal and hurt struck acros her face. She couldn't live without her brother, there was no exception.

So Ying did exactly what he told her not to. "I'M IN," Ying shouted, directly defying her brother, and tossing a chip on the table.

B0nez had tagged along after Harrison, making some mental divisions of lots, and where each of the players had placed their tokens.

"Ready," he told them, clearing his throat.

Harrison put two balls in the wheel, and spun.

Both of them landed, not just in the range of numbers applicable to G, but in the very square he'd placed his token.

Harrison looked at G, and nodded once, solemn, then removed G's token from the board. He handed it to him.

B0nez removed one of the balls from the roulette.

Harrison looked at the other watchers around the table "Last call for bets," he intoned.

OOC

1,2 - G
3,4 - Sammy
5,6 - Riyo
7,8 - Jing
9,10 - Ying

Snake eyes, G's number is up.
If you would like to volunteer for the second round, you may!

So it wasn't just her. Good. "I'm sure they're somewhere nearby. Ferros and Tracey wouldn't just run off, right?" They seemed pretty responsible. But Rep was right...they had no time left. They had to do this quickly. The big guy was rolled as their first sacrifice, people seemed to really like him..that was saddening.

Take him out, get the gate location, meet with Mark.

Nuk had been frozen, arm around Jing's neck, staring wide-eyed at nothing.

Sacrifices. Two of them snuffed out, just like that. Just when he'd started to feel like... he'd had a real family.

But what really killed him was G. The one who had been the only one who really, truly believed they were family. By inches, Nuk came undone, shaking a little before he remembered he still had Jing by the neck, snapping his attention down at the runner before practically jerking away from him. Looking around the room, his eyebrows furrowed, a furious scowl crossed his features, fingers curling into fists as he turned his attention to Harrison. Anger, not at the other members of the blue kingdom, or at their king, but at life. At a life which had never been fair, had never let him be happy.

"I volunteer as tribute."

Pushing his way in front of the others, he moved to stand right in front of the roulette table, right beside the Kingpin, setting his pill bottle with the two Royal Blue pills on the table, his body nearly rigid.

"I'm as good as dead anyway. No one else has to die."

B0nez recalculated. Nuk's item replaced G's.

Harrison spun the wheel a second time.

B0nez inclined his head to indicate the right item.

Harrison picked up Sammy's token from the table, and handed it to her.

"Okay," he said, "Rep. Candace. Take these two to the back. I'll be there in a minute."

A comforting hand patted G on the back as his number not only was rolled, but rolled twice, sympathy was written on her face for the larger man, he seemed like a good person, laying his life down like this both seemed right and wrong all at once.

But that came to a stop when Nuk stepped up, Sammy shot him the dirtiest glare she could muster after feeling so humbled by G, "Nuk?! You have your sister to think about!" She scowled as his token was put down, "Mutt you better hope I get rolled because if we're both alive after this I'm going to knock you upside the head for this...." she said the last part with a mutter.

His eyes were locked onto the ball as it spun round and round, not even daring to take a breath. Then, it stopped, and Gargantuan was left staring at his own number--his number that both balls were preoccupying.

The big man lifted his head to look around the room for a moment, a sickly sort of smile on his face like he just couldn't believe it. "Figures, right? Never win till it really counts." His tone was light, and what sounded like a laugh rumbled underneath the words.

Still, his shoulders trembled.

Nuk offered himself in at the last moment, and Gargantuan desperately wished that he could have served as both sacrifices. Hell, he was big enough, right? There had to be enough blood in his body to serve.

"You guys are gonna do us proud," He said hoarsely, and that seemed to be enough for the dam to finally break. His voice was surprisingly steady, but the tears were leaking from his eyes, rolling down his weathered face. Still, he drew no attention to it, as though by acknowledging his weakness it would shame him further. "You're gonna win this. You're gonna keep the family strong."

The wheel spun again, landing on Sammy's number, next. G sucked in a breath like he'd been hit in the gut, a shaking hand reaching out to clap itself over the young woman's shoulder. He squeezed until his knuckles turned white, as though somehow he could send her what little strength he had left.

His shoulders jerked again with a wordless sob, and finally he had to hide his face with his arm so he could weep. It was for Sammy, for himself, what their lives could have been, and, most importantly, for the fact that he would no longer be there to protect the family. Their faces--he'd never see them again. Never hear their voices, never feel that fond, proud swell in his chest whenever he looked at them all and knew that they were, without a doubt, his family.

He was a disgrace, bawling like a child before the knife. Not a carp, and certainly not a dragon. The family deserved better than this.

It wasn't until the numbers were called that Riyo truly felt anything.

She felt sick.

Never before had she felt so sick to her stomach. Not even during her first kill. The calm of her disposition cracked as she looked at G dismally. They were going to slaughter the gentle giant to save the room of tramps, thieves, and murderers. How disgustingly appropriate.

The girl opened her mouth to say something. Anything comforting to the man, but there was none. Usually she could lie to herself. She could say 'there's some way that he deserves what's coming to him.'

There wasn't. She couldn't justify this to herself, and it was going to eat her alive from the inside. He wanted to live, she wanted to die. Instead, they would be taking eachother's places.

It wasn't fair. This much was certain, but Riyo had learned long ago that shouting out cries of unfairness would only result in more pain. There was nothing she could do. Nothing to do... But live.

The woman threw her empty glass on the floor with a vigorous force, stepping through the shattered pieces to leave the room.
