What does the baby kicking feel like? I'm supposedly supposed to feel the baby kick soon, and I'm worried I won't know what to feel when it happens and I'll miss it.

Awww what cute pics!! <3
dA_fUnKy_mOnKeY, let us know when you go in for the next one and keep us updated! I'll keep you in my thoughts that everything is ok!
It's really hard to describe how fetal movements will feel, it's something different for every woman. I, personally, don't think it's this cutesy "butterfly flutter/kisses" some sites say. It's just very distinctive to me, almost catches me off guard and makes me stop everytime Bean's been doing it. Some say it's like popcorn going off, just varies.
Which, I've just started feeling the movements since Friday. I don't think you'll miss it though. 3nodding
I'm excited my u/s is set for the 19th and everything is going good. Hubby was sweet enough to take one for the team and get blood drawn for the CF test since me being half asian the test results wouldn't be as accurate. Not that I'm really worried about CF, but hey why not and it's a one time thing.

I qwas watching one of those "A Baby Story" shows where they follow the mother through the last few days of her pregnancy and then into the delivery. And they interview the mom and everything. And everyone kept saying "Oh it was so wonderful when the baby started kicking. It felt just like bubbles" And I was like gonk "Bubbles?! But- But I've been bloated horribly for like ever now. What if I missed it?!?!" So if I haven't beebn feeling the baby already I hope I get the type of movements you've had Luna, I know it sounds silly but when the baby moves I want to know it darnit! blaugh (I will probably regret that statement later on won't I?)

LOL, probably, I know I think it's neat now, but once Bean's up in my ribs, I'll be saying a different story.
It was a little easier this time to figure out it was fetal movements since I've been pregnant before. It's not a constant thing and I tend to notice more when I'm trying to lay down and relax. It's just that stage where you KNOW you're in the ballpark range for feeling them and you're ready to feel pregnant. I know it REALLY sinks in I've got a baby in me when I feel it.
I know you'll feel those movements Hikari! biggrin I know you won't miss it and even if it happens when you're asleep, that baby will make sure you feel it again!

Even if you DO miss the movements RIGHT at first, you won't be able to IGNORE them later.
You'll be trying to drift off to sleep and your 7 mo gestation baby will be doing barrel rolls and sticking it's feet all up in your rib cage. And you'll be all "I JUST WANT TO SLEEP, YOU GO TO SLEEP NOW!" xd

Hikari Aijuntani What does the baby kicking feel like? I'm supposedly supposed to feel the baby kick soon, and I'm worried I won't know what to feel when it happens and I'll miss it. It kinda feels like gas bubbles at first, but all of a sudden one day you're like, "Whoa, that was a kick." You'll know, don't worry smile

Well, a 16/17 week update.
Went in for my appt (finally) and I got to hear my baby's heartbeat. ^_^ It was so cool. I was blubbering like an idiot I was so happy. AJ and I have been messing arund with a heartbeat monitor at home and couldn't seem to find the baby's heartbeat so it was really neat for both of us to hear it finally.
And because AJ and I both have A- blood type, sometime in june I have to be given a shot for Rh- to keep from my blood attacking the baby's blood. That was (well, it still is) fairly frightening to me, that I might hurt my baby unintentionally.
My next u/s isn't scheduled for another 2 weeks, so I won't know what the baby is until then.
But other than tat I'm growing fine, and so far my blood tests have come out just fine.
Oh.. ninja I think...maybe....just possibly......probably....I think I felt the baby kick today. I was getting up from folding laundry and all the sudden felt this thump in the middle of my abdomen, hard enough thtat it made me stop and go "What the heck was that? eek "

My mother had to go through the Rhogram things with all of us. I can imagine it sucks, but it's amazing how well it works.
Found out we're having another BOY!
