xd I have to agree with Lion, Leav. xd
I'm so busy these days. School work, I'm behind on DMO, my job, and now it looks like I've got a love interest too. Wish my luck on my big date today, and with selling copies of DMO at Katsucon in Washington DC! stressed There's a lot going on, but I'm loving it, so that's ok. I hope to get back to writing and reviews once I'm home from DC and midterms have passed.
See you all then,
~KK

Ah, man you're gonna love it. I gave it to my bf and he loved it, I gave it to my mom (who barely ever has time to read anything) and she loved it... There are no words to express how truely awesome this book is. And if you can, get the one with the spaceship on the cover and not the boy... 'cause that's the one I have. And it's better.
Also... "wang hang." Ha! rofl

Absolutely nothing. Just that I saw the book with the space ship first so I've always considered that one to be better somehow.

KiyoKyo, if you don't get your magical-writing butt in here more often, I'm going to nail it to a seat. I can do it! I'm a mod! And this is my Cafe! And I have no qualms about taking hostages. Whatsoever. -Leavaros

It really irritates me how everything is so commercialized now.
I mean, just look at Christmas... how many Christians actually celebrate it for the right reasons? How many people even still know what Christmas is about? Heck, how many people are there that celebrate Christmas and aren't even Christian (Athiests for example)? All I ever see these days is people being greedy; "I want this and this" or "Mommy, I'll never talk to you again if I don't get this toy". Now, I'll admit, when I was younger, that was the best part about Christmas, getting all the presents. But that's not what it's about. People are more worried about getting all the "hot" gifts of the season so much that they push and shove, sometimes even injure other people, just to get what they want from a store. Isn't it really to celebrate the birth of Jesus though? Where did that go?
That's just one reason why I don't like America. Greedy, greedy, greedy.

But people--kids especially--are greedy, greedy, greedy in most all of the major contries. It's not just America. I'm tired of everyone ripping on Americans just because of a few stupid celebrities.

I was just going off of my own experiences with people I've met, not celebritites. Most of the people I know in America are greedy, whereas most of the people that I know that live in other countries (in certain ones anyway) aren't greedy.
I'm American myself... most of the people I meet are pretty greedy in my book.
It's not just kids though... it's adults too.

I think that greed is an integral and essential part of humanity that drives us forward. But it's not what Christmas is about. I get annoyed at people who say Valentine's Day is only about chocolates and sales. While it's true that many holidays are commercialized, I think that if we look inside ourselves, we can always find a way to put the true meaning back.
That's why I went to school yesterday, even though I had bronchitis, and passed out thirty-four chocolates and four letters. Because a celebration of love and selflessness is worth me getting off my a** and reminding people of what Valentine's Day used to be, without even saying it. I didn't keep a piece for myself, although I ate a little of what was offered me. It was enough for me to see them smile, and eat chocolate. My Haley was moved to tears by my letter. I can't tell you how much of a gift that is to me.
Love and Vale, -Leavaros Dapple

My friend Leanna was so excited about Valentine's Day. She brought in a ton of kisses and cute valentines that none of us has seen since Elementary school. She asked me why can't people act nice like this everyday. I said that if they did then today wouldn't be special and that it's impossible to be happy all the time. I ate so much chocolate yesterday and today, I feel guilty. Even my friend Matt, yes the guy I like, gave me a hand-made valentine along with the rest of my friends. I found out he doesn't date the day after the snowball. crying His mom is super strict and he doesn't feel like he has the time or money. Which is so stupid, I can't even express how frusturated I am. scream

How old is he? I wasn't allowed to date until I was 16 and looking back it was probably a good idea.

Mm. No. I think that high school is when you're supposed to experiment with relationships and see what's right for you.

He's 18!!!!! Which enforces the rediculousness of the situation. Plus I'm 16 so being too young is not the issue.
